Hundreds of years had passed since the republic and the empire became one, returning to the beliefs of ancient Tython. The lust for battle had been lost for the dark side, the reasons to protect lost for the light. The only use for the force was knowledge, study, peace. The most violent application of the Force was stripping a being of free will, including those of the Neo-Tython order that yet required power, consumed beings to move on, proved a threat to non-Force defenses. To counter this the Force had been synthesized, made to be fired from a gun, capable of stripping a being adept in the use of the Force of its powers.
For decades peace was kept this way, children taken from their houses and branded with a role to fill before they even spoke, this way had been proven to keep the society of neo-Tython stabilized.
But as with anything it had to crumble sooner or later; the human race being the one to start the end of all, to question why the didn't use the harnessed power of the Force to dominate. Using this desire for power, they eradicated the users of the Force, unknowingly keeping a handful of Force-capable straggles alive as they themselves ravaged planet after planet, rebuilding the lost ones.
Little did they know that the Force-users they had left behind had been training, splitting up and assisting random squads all throughout the universe, trying to make small dents in the neo-Tython order. Over the years the Force-users had been developing new methods to draw out other Force-sensitives, humans frowned upon the most for their lack of conviction and likelyhood to turn against their own order.
On the planet of Mustafar was one of those Force-users, though his morals were questionable at best as he agreed with what most of the neo-Tython order was about.
''Who here thinks they have it in them to be my apprentice?!'' Lucas asked as he stood before the 48th legion of Mustafar. ''You'll be tested thoroughly, but pass, and you will know true power.''
