Sports
All sports at Hammel are currently intramural, coed, and open to all students. They do not currently compete with any other teams, though that may change if there is enough interest in a showcase competition. Track and swimming are offered year-round, soccer in the fall and spring, softball in the spring and summer, and basketball in the winter and fall. Football is offered in the summer and fall.

Not very impressive, The Bugle is Hammel's student paper. It's photocopied on a shaky Xerox machine, but between the gossip, submitted columns, reviews, and comics, there are some solid news pieces by aspiring journalists.

New clubs can be created, but there must be enough interest shown in the idea. To create a new club, students must find at least two others who are interested. That means the request must be submitted with the names of three students played by at least three different people. Yes, you can play out the students finding potential members. Proposed clubs do not require an adviser to start, but they are encouraged.
