1. What is your real, birth name? What name do you use?
Yurkio Makiguchi, I use Yurkio most, I mean that’s the American thing right?
2. Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?:
Yuri is my nickname, and I got it from family and friends mostly. A lot of people here can’t pronounce my name right, so I use Yuri more often than not.
3. What do you look like? (Include height, weight, hair, eyes, skin, apparent age, and distinguishing features):
I’m five foot, no inches.. I’m pretty short, but I’m only 14 so I am hoping that I will grow a bit. I weigh about 106 pounds, which isn’t all that skinny for my height… I feel like I’m still gaining weight too.
I have naturally dark brown to black hair but I tend to dye it a lot. Actually, a lot is an understatement; I always have my hair dyed in some type of way. Mostly I have it a light brown to a ginger look with some blonde spots here and there. I think I like it this way the most, but sometimes the look doesn’t always come out the way I want…
I have a pretty tanned complexion; I mean I am Japanese after all, so what else do you want from me? My eyes are also brown because of my ethnicity.
I don’t feel like I have any distinguishing features… I mean I have accented eyes, and I have piercings on my ears but that’s about it.
4. How do you dress most of the time?
My dress style is basically punkish? Think rock band.. Torn jeans, leather jackets, torn shirts, stuff like that really.
5. How do you "dress up?"
Skirts, high heels, and a good top.
6. How do you "dress down?"
Tank top, shorts, and flip flops.
7. What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Yogo shorts and a tank top; or an over sized shirt.

Sometimes, other than my piercings, I will wear some necklaces here and there.
9. In your opinion, what is your best feature?
My best feature is… I guess my hair if we are talking physical things. Personality wise, I would say my attitude is my best feature, or the fact that I’m pretty loyal to the people I love.

11. Where do you live? Describe it: Is it messy, neat, avant-garde, sparse, etc.?
I live in the Hammel dorms, co-ed of course. It’s pretty messy to be honest… My clothes are usually scattered everywhere, so is basically all my stuff. But I can still see my floor, so I guess that’s kind of a plus.
12. Do you own a car? Describe it.
Nope, I’m too young to even drive let alone own a car.
13. What is your most prized mundane possession? Why do you value it so much?
My tarot cards, just because they have helped me out so much already. They have given me comfort when I needed it the most, and they help me figure out certain situations of my life. And You’re probably thinking that they are just cards, they can’t really do anything for you. But you are so wrong, they are so much more than cards and I can’t really explain it.

Familial Questions
1. What is your family like?
They are… Kind of strict, yet not all that strict because my parents weren’t around a lot. The younger siblings were a pain, I don’t like them all that much, there’s nothing really great about them. My younger siblings are kind of brats, but I guess most children are, I don’t know if I personally want to have children, blah. My older brother is pretty cool though; I look up to him more than anyone else. I guess he’s kind of my role model, but that’s kind of lame to say… But even though my family is Asian, to me it still seems like my family is your average American family, I don’t see much of a difference. Maybe they are a little stricter.
2. Who is your father, and what is he like? Seeto Makigushi:
He’s pretty cool, I mean for a father. He had a pretty good job, with pretty good pay. But he was laid off because of stuff, now my family is kind of struggling, which you know they might not be if they hadn’t had so many children… Kind of their fault on that one… Just sayin.
3. Who is your mother, and what is she like? Michiko Makiguchi:
She’s pretty cool too, I mean she’s like your average mother. She had to start working when father lost his job; she’s a lunch lady now. Which I think is still pretty damn good. She is working mostly for us, the family; so I can’t fault her on that.
4. What is your parents marriage like? Were they married? Did they remain married?
I guess it’s good? I mean they are still married, which is a plus considering how many other married couples end up getting divorced. I hope that doesn’t happen to them, I like them together.
5. What are your siblings names? What were they like?
Tomoe Makiguchi, Brother, Suichi and Kenichi Makiguchi Twin brothers, Mariko Makiguchi, Sister; that’s all of them, Oh! And Naozumi Makiguchi my older brother, the only sibling I like… Truthfully they are all pretty okay, it’s just that my younger siblings are just so annoying. Everyone thinks they are so cute… I’m cute too! Just because I’m older doesn’t mean I’m not cute…
6. What's the worst thing one of your siblings ever did to you? What's the worst thing you've done to one of your siblings? The worst thing my younger siblings have done was be born… Is that too mean? Maybe? Well Once mother started to work again, me and Nao had to babysat, and that was horrible, and then Nao left for school then it was all me. And they are soo annoying.. So it’s like everything they do is the worst. The worst I have ever done to my younger siblings is yell at them, or you know tell them stupid silly shit to answer their weird questions…
7. When's the last time you saw any member of your family? Where are they now?
Last night? I mean I go to the same school as my brother, the rest of my immediate family? During winter break, so a few months ago, I go back home like once a year… Where are they? They live in San Jose, California.
Adolescent Questions
1. How old were you when you went on your first date?
Weird question, like why would you want to know how old I was when I had my first date? That’s really none of your business.
2. It is common for one's view of authority to develop in their adolescent years. What is your view of authority, and what event most affected it?
I’m not really sure to be honest. I don’t like authority really at all. Mostly because it’s like they all just want to tell me what to do without giving me a reason. That’s one of the things I hated with my parents… I just really want to know why, and I get so annoyed when they don’t have an answer. Also, I like doing my own thing, so I’m totally going to give the middle finger to authority (except cops..) if they get in my way. But yeah, I don’t know what affected it; how am I suppose to know? I’m not a counselor.
3. What were you like in high school? What "clique" did you best fit in with?
None, at least that’s me saying I don’t fit into any. I don’t know, I don’t like cliques… So I have a variety of friends, I don’t just hang out with the other misfits, or the punk people, I hang out with everyone. Even people who might annoy me, just because I hate the idea of cliques that much… What I’m like in school… Trouble maker, really… I’m always trying to pull shit on teachers, or even fellow students. And I totally get away with it most times too…
4. What were your high school goals?
To graduate… I really don’t have any other goals, I mean I’m only fourteen, why should I have more goals?
5. Who was your idol when you were growing up? Who did you first fantasize about in your life?
My older brother, Nao has always been my idol growing up. I don’t know why either… It’s just; I kind of want to be like him, and he’s always been my favorite sibling. I was so sad when he had left to go to hammel without me.. Cause I couldn’t go, so I was stuck home with everyone else. I was mad at him for it, because I didn’t quite understand it. But now that I’m here at hammel with him, and now I know from experience what he went through. I’m not as mad anymore.
I don’t fantasize about my brother, let’s just get that straight… I really don’t know if I have anyone I fantasize about, like a lot of girls I know fantasize over guys, or woman they want to be like. But I have never found that type of person/celebrity that I would fantasize about in a sexual way, or want to look like… I’m not even sure if I even know what I want to look like… Like everyone seems to have a picture in their mind of what they want to look like, and use celebrities to portray that. But I don’t feel that way.. But I know it’s not because I’m secure with my body, there’s a lot of things I don’t like, and some other things that feel weird, that I don’t quite get about my body… It’s hard to explain, I’m still figuring it out… If there’s anything to figure out? I don’t know!
6. What is your favorite memory from adolescence?
When I manifested I guess would be my favorite. Whatever the hell favorite memory is.. Like whatever.. I just turned 14 when I manifested, so I just actually manifested not that long ago. I was babysitting my siblings like I always do, but a few of them were getting into trouble, actually, they were trying to ‘help’ cook dinner, because that had become my responsibility at that time. Few of my siblings were getting plates out to set the table. I’m not sure what had really happened, but I guess one of them just dropped some of the plates, there was a loud crash, a lot of crying and some cussing from me…
Not even a minute went by when I watched everything rewind; it was like I was in a movie that was being reversed. I didn’t know what had happened, and I didn’t know that it was going to happen again. I thought I had been dreaming honestly… But as my siblings dropped the plates a second time, my parents came home. I told them what happened, I kind of got the same reaction that my brother got when he manifested, honestly…
7. What is your worst memory from adolescence?
The worst I guess it the week later after I manifested. Hammel’s staff came to pick me up, like they did with my brother. While I was excited to go to the school my brother was at. I was still sad that I had to leave my family. I don’t know why that this memory is the worst I have… But that’s just how that happens, I guess. I still miss them dearly, which is really weird because when I visit home I remember just why I’m glad I’m living at Hammel…
