The BasicsName: Luke, Alan, Elliott
Nicknames: Mr Elliott (whenever at work)
Age: Twenty-five (May 16th)
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Maths and Computing Teacher
Powers: Visual and Sound Illusions - Luke has the ability to produce visual and auditory illusions, based off of his own imagination - if he can imagine it, he can show it. However, he is limited by
- Distance (depends, the further away an illusion is, the smaller it has to be)
- Number of illusions (linked with size - could make it seem like someone was buried in apples but only make two full sized dinosaurs)
- Size (linked with number - the biggest he can make an illusion is the size of a t-rex)
- Detail (effects all the other factors - more detail means less illusions/smaller size/less distance)
- Volume (could not burst a human ear drum)
- Pitch (if he can hear it, he can produce it (ie within the range of human hearing))
His visual illusions manifested first and he developed the ability to produce sound illusions through lots of practice. When he produces a sound illusion, he is able to throw the sound at a distance away from himself. When under immense stress or strain, he may accidentally/sporadically produce illusions. Side effects include: headaches/migraines, nausea, blurred vision, distancing from reality, confusion/delusions, fainting.

Any Piercings? No
Any Tattoos? No

General Appearance: Luke has a slim, lanky body, 6" tall, with an average build. He doesn't work out on a regular basis but he is healthy and fit, if not exactly athletic. He has quite a long, thin face and a rounded jaw, with piercing blue eyes and brown hair that is naturally curly but he usually combs it back and gels it to make his appearance more professional. To work he wears a black suit and tie, though he may take off his suit jacket in an office or during a lesson to seem more chill, or on a hot day. Outside of work, to relax, he might wear chinos and a shirt.
Personality: An introverted, self-proclaimed nerd, Luke is an adaptive person, comfortable in most settings, but most comfortable when his surroundings are familiar. He was originally rather reserved and nervous, but he has built his confidence through hard work.
He spends most of his time alone, as he feels no drive to spend time with others. He would happily spend time with others if he was invited to, but he doesn't often meet up with people on his own initiative. Interactions with others do happen though, he might casually chat with a coworker, or a student might come to him with a question. There have always been people that he would talk to, but he has yet to find someone apart from his parents that he would purposely go and see or check up on, or have a deep personal conversation with. He can understand people's feelings when they are explained to him, but often he cannot see and comprehend them on his own. This can lead to him offending or upsetting people without knowing, which can be a source of frustration for him.
He is very patient - when it comes to unruly students, or people that he disagrees with, he can mostly tolerate them, and try to work around the difficulty. He generally doesn't judge people by their appearances or by rumours.
Luke strongly disapproves of anything illegal or questionable, such as drugs and crime, or smoking and heavy drinking. He would be offended and refuse profusely if he was offered a cigarette, and he become quickly frustrated with people who openly partake in such activities.Your VicesLikes:

However, after failing a test because he was too cocky and didn't revise, he learnt that hard work is the key to his success, not talent alone.
He studied at a normal school in Oxford until his power manifested when he was 13. One day whilst working in maths class on a particularly difficult geometry problem, one of his classmates noticed diagrams, shapes and numbers floating above his head. They were understandably shocked, but when they got his attention to ask him how he was doing it, the images faded, and Luke had no idea what they were talking about, so the student assumed they were just seeing things, or it was a trick of the light, and didn't speak of it again. However, the teacher had noticed as well, and quietly notified the recruiters at Kocher.
Then it happened again, at home the same day, whilst doing his homework. This time, his mother noticed it, and she watched it for a while before asking him about it, to make sure she wasn't seeing things. But when she asked him, it disappeared like before. Luke believed his mum however, when she told him what she'd seen, and so he tried to do it again. After several attempts, he successfully made a triangle appear in the air in front of him. His parents have always been kind and gentle people, and not quick to judge, so they celebrated this new talent of his. So, when the recruiters from Kocher arrived a couple of days later, Luke left with them eagerly, looking forward to the prospect of developing this new ability.
However, Luke never truly found friends at Kocher, or anywhere he studied. He never could connect with those around him, and found spending time alone took much less effort than spending time with others. So, he grew up with his only friends being his parents, and as such he had a lot of time to himself. This allowed his academic studies and power training to flourish, and just as he consistently achieved high grades in his studies, he found similar success in his training. His abilities improved quickly, and a couple of years later, after intense and dedicated training, he developed the ability to create auditory illusions after trying to make an illusion of himself talk. Whilst he knows he could always improve his abilities, he has put in considerable effort - both in official training and in his own time - into developing his powers.
After graduating from Kocher, he studied mathematics at university, and graduated with flying colours. His enjoyment of academia drove him to become a teacher, but he didn't just want to stay in England. He had heard of Hammel at Kocher, and became interested in working there. America appealed to him, because he hadn't done much travelling in his life and America seemed so different from England whilst sharing the same language. So he moved to America, and after completing the sufficient training to teach both Maths and Computing, registered his interest as a teacher at Hammel. He had studied Computing at Kocher and enjoyed it nearly as much as he had enjoyed maths, so took an extra course on it in America so that he would be fit to teach it at Hammel.
He was recently accepted as a teacher, and intends to begin teaching as soon as possible.Roleplay ExampleA warm, sunny day, with the blinds pulled back and the windows open. Luke Elliott sat behind his desk at the front of the classroom, checking over his notes for the day as his students walked in. They sat down, row by row, getting out their notebooks and pens, chatting idly whilst waiting for the lesson to begin. He sat there, gearing up for what would be his first official day of teaching.
He had been planning this lesson for a while, going through every detail that he wanted to cover, and how he would present it to the class. Then he'd worried if he'd planned it too much - one thing he'd learnt is that being too thorough with plans was what caused them to fail.
But then he was there, sat at his desk, with the eager eyes of his pupils looking forward. Or so he thought; he soon realised they were mostly down at their phones, "skilfully" hidden beneath their desks, or across at each other, discussing how little they wanted to be there. Oh well, at there were a few students paying attention.
Luke - Mr Elliott to his students and colleagues - spotted a particular student who hadn't looked away from their phone since they walked in. He decided to demonstrate his ability by slowly making himself appear behind them, arms crossed, looking down over their shoulder. After a few seconds, during which every other student noticed the illusion, the illusion spoke:
"Ready for today's lesson, are we?" it said, in a firm voice.
The student practically leaped out of their skin in shock, and their phone flew straight through the illusion's head, which then exploded in a puff of smoke.
Standing up at the front, Mr Elliott got the class' attention and said:
"Right then, are we ready to begin?"
Then he sighed, took a sip of his hot chocolate and relaxed back in his armchair. That first morning of teaching was still a day away, and he could only hope that it was as interesting as his daydream was. What About You?Name: Frost
