The Party Don't Start 'Til I Walk In

It was just one of those days. 

The bright side of living with her brothers is that it left her with a lot of free time since they were paying for everything and so she wasn't working. She wasn't exactly happy with that arrangement - she felt like she owed them more - but despite her best efforts, finding another job was hard. She had put in a couple applications, but she hadn't heard back about anything. 

Add to it that her brother was pressuring her to start going to school - beauty school granted, but still - and well, she was under a bit of pressure. She liked the idea of it but, well, she was afraid to let them down if she was being honest. Not that she could tell them that. 

So she was letting loose tonight. 

It had been a long while really. She'd gone out a few times, but she didn't party as hard as she used to. Tonight though, she was going to change that. It had been forever since someone had flirted with her and she was sick of being lonely. That and all this worrying made it hard to have fun. So she was determined, tonight she was going to drink and dance the night away. Maybe she'd even get lucky and find someone worth flirting with. 

That very thought was what had brought her to this club. She was dolled up and looking her very best in a tight black cutout dress that showed off all her best features. Combined with her signature red lips and nails, she was sure to draw some attention and tonight that was exactly what she wanted. But before she hit the dance floor and made some jaws drop, she headed towards the bar to start the night off with a drink.

It had been a looong time since Brooke went out properly, not since starting university. Sure there were get-togethers here and there, and a couple hook-ups that were alright, but university was quite honestly kicking her tight little behind and she just simply didn’t have time anymore. Not if she wanted to keep that GPA up that had been steadily falling since last fall. A night to cut loose…a whole summer to cut loose was exactly what she needed after a whole ten months of stress and stress and did I mention stress?

So tonight…was the night. Brooke dressed up more awesome than she had in months. She didn’t know of any house parties going on right now, unfortunately, which meant…well, it meant she had to unbury her fake ID, something that she hadn’t had to use in months! Was she going to get wasted tonight? You bet your britches she was! And she hoped to see them britches removed at some point in the night as well.

Aaanyway, party party party. Brooke stepped into the club with ease(the bouncer was clearly new, loool), so it wasn’t long before she was leaning up across the counter of the bar, slamming her palm against it, demanding attention from the barkeep to serve her up a Sex On The Beach. “Yoooo!!!” she called out loudly so as to be heard over the music. Though that shout was still loud enough to turn the heads of a number of other party-patrons. “Heey! I”m ordering here! Hurry it up!” Brooke slammed her palm down again.

She may have had a couple of starter shots before leaving the house tonight.

Jocelyn had been waiting at the bar - money in hand - for a couple minutes when someone leaned on the counter next to her. She might not have taken notice had it not been for the loud call that followed, that earned her a look of surprise.

She turned towards the other woman - she appeared to be of a similar age at least and she was dressed to kill for sure. "They're moving slow," she said with a groan and roll of her eyes. "Just to warn you. I'm still waiting." With that she herself leaned over the bar, peering down, hoping to catch the bartender's eye. Unlike the girl next to her, she wasn't the sort to shout and demand attention.

"Who knew getting wasted would be such a challenge, right?" she said with a short laugh. She was annoyed, but feeling a little less so now that she was at least talking with someone. Of course, she might have preferred someone of the male variety, but this one looked like she knew how to have a good time. Especially since it seemed like she was already on her way to getting smashed. Maybe she should have had a shot or two before leaving the house... She probably would have if she had known it would take so long to get a drink here.

"At least the music is good though," she added with a small shrug. It was loud and it had a beat that was perfect for dancing which is exactly how she planned to spend the night - at least until someone started hitting on her.

Brooke turned her head to face the person who she assumed was speaking to her, then swiveled around so that her back was against the counter with her elbows leaned upon it, a frustrated groan passing through her lips. “I’mma lose my buzz at this rate. Isn’t no point to drinking if ya gotta do it slow, huh?” Brooke sent the curly-haired woman a friendly wink.

Conversation was nice, yup! It was a thing to do while she waited on the waiter(bartender). She held up a finger and leaned in towards the woman. “Gettin’ wasted s’not that hard, just takes ‘bout four shots of vodka in the span of, oh, say fifteen minutes.” Maybe less if you wanted to risk blacking out. “It’s the staying wasted that’s a challenge.” Which sure as hell wasn’t happening with the slow-as-balls service they were getting here.

“Mmm!” she exclaimed in agreement, snapping her fingers as she balled up her fists and shook that widdle toosh of her with her arms loose in the air. “Dis is some bootyliciously bootyful booty-shaking music!” One could never say the word ‘booty’ too often. Brooke stopped dancing in an instant and darted a glare at the bartender, who was still occupied with other customers instead of them. Another shrug, oh welly-well, and she turned back to her new best friend(acquaintance). “Bueno, mi chica hermosa,” she started. “What brings you here, if I may ask, oh so humbly, and do you have a mate?” A playmate, she meant. As in a friendly companion. But Brooke wasn’t going to explain that unless asked.

Jocelyn laughed at her conclusion. "That's for damn sure!" Of course, she didn't do anything slow if she could help it. Sure, that's what got her in trouble half the time, but what was the point in waiting really? The exact same thing was gonna happen anyway, just slower, which meant a lot more being bored and impatient which wasn't really something she enjoyed. Her wink made Jocelyn smile a bit. After all, she knew that she looked good, and that's all she took that to mean. Besides, given the way the other one looked, Jocelyn knew that she at least had good taste.

Still, she was glad other girl seemed up for conversation. Especially considering it seemed they'd be lucky to be served at all at this rate. "Isn't that the truth though," she said with a nod. Getting wasted did happen quickly - assuming you had the necessary alcohol to do the trick - but staying buzzed the rest of the night required a certain degree of dedication. "If I had known it was going to be like this, I would've started off at home or brought my own or something. This is ridiculous..." she grumbled. "Since when do the hottest girls get served last?"

This girl was proving to be fun as she earned yet another laugh, shaking her booty to the music. "You know it is!" she said back with a giggle and shake of her own. She really did just want to dance already. This bartender was taking forever. Jocelyn smiled as the other girl spoke spanish. She knew that chica meant girl, but beyond that she was lost. Of course, she wasn't about to say that. The question about a mate caught Jocelyn by surprise, but she didn't think too much of it. "Nah, I came here alone. Hoping not to end the night that way though," she added with a wink of her own. "Drink, dance, flirt - perfect night, right?" Of course, she kind of wanted to do more than just flirt at some point, but that was for later and surely implied.

"I'm Jocelyn by the way," she offered with a small nod of her head. Seemed like they were going to be chatting awhile longer so might as well be friends. Besides, so far she liked the other girl. "What about you? What brings you here - other than the hope of staying wasted," she said with a teasing grin.

If the bartender was any slower, Brooke was gonna hafta compensate by ordering her up something ridiculously loaded to get to where she wanted to be. Which today was wasted to the point where she could barely walk, where she’d make out with the first cutie she hooked up with on the dance floor, and possibly had a bull-riding game in a closet somewhere.

At least, that’s where she wanted to be, the the reality was that she would probably only get halfway there, kiss several hook-ups on the dance floor, and casually go home with the one that had the nicer ride. Hopefully a motorcycle. She loooooved motorcycles. All that vibrating, you know?

Or maybe she’d get even luckier and find herself a cutie-cutie she-girl like this daisy beside her? Brooke didn’t discriminate, nopes! “I know, right? Maybe we should dance on the bar counters to get their attention, like they did in that one Ugly movie, what’s it called?” Brooke shook her head and gave her knew friend a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. “I know what you need. You ever try a liquid cocaine?” she asked, leaning in and speaking loud enough for her to be heard over the music. “Awesome, drink. S’got a shot each of Rumple Mintz, Goldschalger, and Jägermeister.” Each of which was at 100, 87, and 70 proof, respectively. “It’ll fuck you uuup,” she advertised. Brooke only tried it once, honestly, and wouldn’t try it again unless she had a partner to try it with. Call her chicken, but Brooke preferred to say ‘the more the merrier”.

Mmm! Just lookit da junk-in-dat-truck! Brooke had to keep herself from giving that fanny a friendly tap. They’d only just met, it wasn’t lady-like, after all~ “O-I-C, same!” she said with a perky tilt of the head. Brooke gave the woman another wink. “On both accounts, rawr~” Brooke offered kitty claws. Not her real kitty claws, she kept those lock in tight. For the moment. “Mmm! Sounds like my kinda game. Maybe I’ll let you be my partner in crime tonight?” Jocelyn could interpret that however she wanted.

“Nice to meetcha, Jocelyn!” Brooke returned the greeting with a sharp wave. “I’m Brooke.” No last name, because last names were for 2nd-meetings, not first. Brooke shrugged. “Bored. Finished the semester, lookin’ for a good de-stressing session of mindless drinking and fucking.” Brooke stuck out her tongue at that last word. No, she was not shy.

Of course, Jocelyn had no idea what was going through the other girl's mind. For the most part, their thoughts were the same, minus the part about girls. She wasn't opposed to the idea or anything, she just had never given it any thought. After all, she'd always been too busy chasing - or trying to please - the boys. It somehow never occurred to her to look beyond that.

She laughed at the girl's suggestion that they should dance on the bartop. "That would definitely get their attention!" she agreed. She probably wouldn't actually do it though. She didn't get brave until she got a couple shots in her, or she had someone else pulling her along. Of course, this girl seemed exactly that sort.

Though she listened intently as the younger girl spoke about liquid cocaine. She had to admit that it sounded a bit scary. "That sounds hella intense," she said, her voice a mixture of awe and shock. Sure, she wanted to get drunk, but more the sort where she'd lose her inhibitions and someone cute would use it as an excuse to give her a ride so they could have some real fun. "I think I'll just stick with some tequila shots," she said with another laugh. They did the trick after all.

Jocelyn figured the other girl was just teasing as she gave a playful wink and rawr, but she wasn't about to complain. Her grin widened a little as the other suggested they become partners in crime. "Games are more fun when there are more players," she said, her tone both thoughtful and playful. "Besides, who could resist two hotties like us, right?" she added, teasingly bumping her hip against the other girl's.

The lack of provided last name didn't bother her - after all, she hadn't even offered her own. Maybe if they made it past tonight a more solid sort of friendship - albeit probably one that revolved around drinking and partying - might form. Until then, she was just going to enjoy the company.

She nodded along as Brooke explained her own reasons for being her. "Hell yeah," she agreed even as the other stuck out her tongue. Vulgarity didn't bother her one bit. "I bet you could use a good unwinding after all that stress," she agreed though. After all, that was one of the reasons she'd never even considered college. It just seemed like too much work with too little reward really. "God, I could use a good fucking," she said with a small sigh. "It has been way too long. Here's to hoping tonight ends well for both of us and that it is anything but boring," she said with a grin.

Brooke had known pa-LENTY of chicks who didn’t think they’d go for the gals before they actually went for the gals.  Of course, it was only after the cougar-shifter was done with them that they found themselves well on their way to gay.  Because gay was always more fun, because boys were stupid, and the only good think about boys was that piece of anatomy sticking out of their body, and she wasn’t talking about the head.  Well, not that kind of head.  But yes, girls were fun, girls had no attachments, girls didn’t have to be your friend for you to come onto them, and once you got a little alcohol in them, girls were loose as fuck.  Literally.

“Awwww, that’s too bad, you’ll be missing out~”  Brooke would be too, since she wasn’t about to do something that intense by herself.  Maybe she shouldn’t have told the woman what was in the drink? Then she woulda taken it like a boss!!  Sean would have scolded Brooke for that train of thought, no doubt.  “Takin’ it straight, though, that’s hella hardcore at least.”  She wondered if the girl would take whiskey straight?  Brooke would, but she needed one hell of a chaser to keep it from coming back up, and things always tasted much better going down than coming up, so Brooke tried to avoid the latter. 
 
Jocelyn was smoking. Hawt.  And Brooke was 1000% positive that the two of them together would be a force to be reckoned with!  Men would bow at their feet for the chance to dance with them, and even more for a chance to go home with them! Maybe.  Brooke loved this game, though.  Staring out into the dance floor, she already had her eye on a few select good-looking specimens.  “No kidding,” she said with a coy little smirk.  “So after drinks, wanna prowl?  And we looking for a pair of treats or is it every woman for himself.”  Herself. Whatever.  The great thing about going partners, though is the potential for a double burn. Imagine, being dumped not just by one hottie, but two? Priceless!
 
And if they couldn’t find anything that fit their fancy, they always had the option of keeping each other company.  After all, what are two over-stressed, horny gals to do? “Here’s hoping~” she agreed, raising her ‘glass’ to that toast. Brooke giggled. “We’ll toast again once we got somethin’ to toast with.”

Speaking of, the bartender finally showed his mangy mug. “Oh there you are,” she said casually over her shoulder. Brooke pointed to Jocelyn. “This looker was here before me, so give it to her good first, kay kay?” Brooke could stand to wait for one more person(but nobody else, otherwise she was gonna go manic on their ass and not in the good, moan-inducing way). When it was her turn finally, Brooke would order her drink of choice - Sex on the Beach - and offer the ‘tender her tragically underused fake ID.
