Sometimes service work came with perks. Today had been such a day. After fixing several lights and moving an outlet over in the bakery, Nick had waltzed out with all kinds of goodies. As a bonus, he even got off of work early. That meant only one thing in his mind.
After running home to drop off half of his treats, change, and take Tesla for a quick bathroom trip, he left the puppy with a peanut butter filled Kong toy and headed back down to his truck. With the rest of his treats safely on the passenger seat, he headed for Hammel.
He had no idea of Trevor's actual schedule with students, but worst case scenario, he'd just drop his bounty and run. Quietly, he was hoping he was free, but he'd take what he could get.
After signing in and clipping his visitor badge to a belt loop, he made a beeline for the training wing. With his hair hanging loose and his less than adult looking South Park shirt, he didn't really look much different from most of the students running around. It didn't really seem that long ago that he was one of them, bolting from class to class, trying (and failing) to skateboard down the hall without getting caught, detention... Sometimes he missed it. Adulting was hard.
After finding Trevor's classroom and peeking inside, Nick beamed and strolled in, holding the bag out. "Hi Trev! I have cookies!" They weren't peanut butter - those were at home. He remembered how the school had always been careful about peanuts and things, so he'd been careful in dividing up the treats. But that just meant that Trevor would come home to lots of peanut butter themed goodies. "There's chocolate chip and Smartie and... Uh.... Oh! Rice Krispies too!" He shook the bag before dropping it on the desk, still beaming like a little boy. "How's work?" Because crashing his fiancé's workday was commonplace. Yep.
