Oriel’s first instincts upon seeing a person in uniform was the same as it was when he was the tender young age of juvenile delinquent: RUN! Like, book it! Over the river and through the woods, in someone else’s house he goes! Or rather, over the fence, across the street, and up a fire escape, hiding wherever he might.

At the current moment, Oriel was doing everything he could to fight that impulse. Humor helped. And as this fellow in front of him had just experienced, Oriel had plenty of that. Asshole-humor too.

“And here I’s planning on pounding you, though not quite in the way I’d prefer,” he quipped back to the humorless-Ben over there, running a hand through his long brown locks like the supermodel he wished he was. He sent the boy a wink. Despite his bravado, a knot was twisting up his intestines, the presence of señora policía being the primary cause of it. Oriel straightened himself and raised his chin proudly. “My name…” he started dramatically. “Is Mr. Mesto Pheles!! I am very magical!! I’m sure you’ve heard of me.” Cue a toothy smile.

Three months in prison? He'd finally be a prison bitch! Giving criminals what they deserve, a good pounding. Much like he thought the guy in front of- between- next to- behind- that guy he was beating up meant with pounding. ''I prefer not ta be pounded by guys..'' He replied sarcastically, but with a small wink at the end, though mostly aiming that wink at the woman in front of him. ''But I do 'ave time tonight.'' Lucas blamed his 180 in terms of thoughts on the presence of a woman, and no matter the occupation of said woman he would make sure it was a day to remember.

''But I just heard I have been booked fer th' next three months by this.. lovely..'' His eyes scanned the woman over and liked what they saw despite Lucas telling himself he would stop doing that; judging women on how they looked. But at least her attitude seemed awesome, she thought she had power, and that would fix so much when left to its devices. ''woman. An' hopefully rough too.'' He wondered if she had handcuffs or something, that would be an awesome experience.

When his- their, names were asked he took the example of the guy he was beating to a pulp (or so he would defend his pride) and straightened himself, almost seeming to mock the guy despite his power not doing it for him. Wait, his power didn't do it for him? Damn, the influence of this piece of sexy in between them was real!

Well that explained how the fight had started. Rhea glanced from one to the other, and within about fifteen seconds--yes, sex-taunts, grandstanding, innuendo, and of course overt sexual harassment--the pair had slithered all the way down Rhea's ladder of suspects to one of the bottom rungs, reserved for a certain class of young men, the Erect Talking Penis.

Most adults snapped in line when confronted with a police officer. The police dealt with Bad Guys, and so a policeman yelling at you was a serious problem. This was not the case with the Erect Talking Penis (or ETP) subclass. Like the extremely intoxicated, ETPs were too stupid and belligerent to know what was best for them. This meant that cajoling got results much faster than threatening. Besides, as obnoxious as they were, these two were kids. It was necessary when it was necessary, but Rhea took no pleasure in intimidating nineteen-year-olds.

The policewoman did not move or relax her body language, but she smiled at Oriel. Rhea had an incongruously pretty smile considering the neck and shoulders it was attached to. "Alright," she replied in a light, dry voice. "So, Mr. Mesto Fleas, why were you two fighting in front of a shoe repair shop? You know there are kids around here."

Rhea didn't bat an eye at Lucas's coquettery. If she had a quarter for every sleazy BDSM pass she'd heard over the course of her fifteen years of police work, she would not be living in an apartment on the cheap side of Pilot Ridge. She often laughed to her friends that she wished they'd at least pick a new fetish every once in a while. Being asked to climb into a fur suit or take off her shoes while making an arrest would at least be something different.

"I would," she replied in the same wry tone she had used for Oriel. "Mister Fleas here was kind enough to give me his."

Ah-ha, so this guy was one of those guys. As in, exactly like Oriel. Or at least exactly as he had been once upon a time….or still would be if the woman in front of him hadn’t be a goddamn cop. That was usually an instant deal-breaker in his book. Three month’s his tight muscular ass! She was trying to put him away for life! Oriel had never met a cop he liked, and this one was no different, firm boobs or no. Oriel stuck a pinky up his nostril, as if to search up there for an answer to her question. “Fight? What fight? I ain’t seen no fight.” Hell, they didn’t even draw blood, that was hardly a fight. He flicked a crusty off into the street...hey, at least he didn't wipe it on her this time!

Oriel wondered if Mr. Chauvinist over there might be able to distract her long enough for him to get away….eventually.

Upon hearing the other guy’s ‘name’…Oriel stepped back in shock, placing one hand over his mouth with the other against his cheek, expelling a very overdramatic gasp. “Ohhh, myyyy, but you only just met! And you’re asking this pretty piece of chocolate to finger you??? How Shaaaammmeefullll!!” Because digits.

Well that was one thing he could agree on with the guy who he had previously been pummeling into oblivion, there hadn't been a fight. There had been a straight up massacre if this police thing hadn't come between them, but aside from those few lucky hits it had all been Luke who had the upper hand in this. Possibly still had, because there was no way in hell the woman would fall for this one sooner than she would fall for Luke, assuming she'd fall for anyone there.

Seemed like this was one of those moments of grandeur for the Texan. Delusions of grandeur?

''I'd have ta agree wit' sloppy Joe back there.'' Lucas chimed in when the question sounded on why they fought, assuming that with that guy giving less than a desirable answer she'd turn to the other delinquent at hand. Heh, delinquent. He wasn't sure he could fit into that category as this was his second 'fight' ever within Pilot Ridge, and the first was in Hammel. ''Though I did see a fight..''

He stepped on his toes and pointed to an alley that lead away from them. ''They went thatta-way.''

Falling back into his spot he heard the voice of the other guy commenting on his reaction to his name being asked. ''So? We just met an' I didn't see any trouble in fistin' ya.'' He responded with his arms now crossed over his chest, his smile gradually returning as his face turned to meet the sexy between them.

''Oh ya want kind?'' He winked. ''I can do kind, fer a price..''

Rhea's eyes slid from Oriel to Lucas and back again. Then she smiled, a beautiful, warm, sparkling thing.

"Of course!" she chuckled. "I'm so sorry about the mix up." She stepped backwards, no longer standing between the two young men but still within grabbing distance. "You want to pound him," she said, gesturing from Oriel to Lucas, "And you said you've just been fisting him," she gestured from Lucas back to Oriel. "And I thought you meant fighting. But here you're just having a little lover's quarrel! I apologize." She shook her head in embarrassment. "I don't want you to get a bad idea of our police department.

"I'll tell you what," she continued jovially. "To make it up to you, I'll stay here and make sure those other two that ran off don't try anything else." She nodded to both boys. "Go on. Kiss and make up." She placed one hand on both of their backs and pushed them slightly towards each other. It felt like being nudged by a truck. "Once I'm reassured that your relationship hasn't been hurt by my tactlessness, you two can be on your way."

Nope, see? There was no fight! Whoever said otherwise was obviously seeing things!

The other guy was alone in his attempts to woo the little lady though. Maybe Oriel was engaging in some sort of competition, but it certainly wasn’t for this cop-chick’s affections.

He did have to smirk, though, when the other hot-head pointed off to some alleyway. “You saw that too? And here I thought it was just me seeing things.” Oriel nodded and pointed with the other guy. “Thataway. If you hurry, I bet you can still catch ‘em,” Oriel said with his most pleasant gtfo-smile.

When this guy wasn’t trying to rip out his spine and off his balls, he was a bit of a hoot, actually. Definitely reminded Oriel of…himself! Wa-hahahaha!! Oriel cocked his head to the side and put his hand shyly to his cheek. “Well, I usually like to get to know a fellow better, but if you wanted your hand in my ass, you should’ve just asked nicely~” he cooed, puckering out his lips like a sexy beast.

With the copper-chick’s ass-sessment, Oriel decided she wasn’t too terrible….that didn’t mean he didn’t still think she was going to nail their asses in the not-so-pleasant way. Oriel batted his eyes at the dick-head across from him, his hand still demurely on his cheek. “Oh, she’s right, honey,” he said, pitching into the ‘supergey’ voice. “I don’t know whatever came over me! It must’ve just been that time of the month, I’m sure of it!” He flit a hand forward, then opened his arms. “C’mon, baby~ Gimme a smooch, and let’s let this nice old-lady be on her way.” Then he proceeded to approach ominously, his arms outstretched for a hug all while puckering up his full, soft lips.

T- Wh- How- huh? This wasn't the way this was intended to go down. Most of the times when he pretended to like a guy he got punched in the face or a place near it, but this guy played along just as hard. Wait, maybe this guy was actually gay or something. Now Lucas wasn't homophobic, but certain things about him were exit only, so.. he counted what the guy did as his bit of fun backfiring.

His smile soon faded (if he had one) when he was almost forced toward the guy and vice-versa and found a pair of lips in the kissing stance and coming at him. Normally he'd know what to do with those, but from a guy? Heck no! He'd kissed a guy before and it very nearly killed him! Only because he beat himself up over it, but still. ''No.'' He began, his arms crossing over his chest once more as he finally decided that he could still steer this little act (oh god he hoped it was an act) into the green area of things. ''We're through.''

All the time he had been annoying people and acting things out and this was the first time he had met not one, but two people at the same time who turned it against him. By god it wasn't a fun feeling. But queue life, right?

He turned his eyes on the woman between them and then back to the guy. He was fun, but continuously asking for an ass whooping it seemed. ''That time o' month has dicked me over fer far ta long, ya hear?'' He stated as he looked the other boy in the eyes only to have them steer their way over to the one almost daring them to do this. And when he did his entire face softened a bit and he smiled, trying to get closer to the woman physically and trying to wrap his arms around her if she let him.

Oriel's assessment was more or less correct. Rhea had their descriptions and knew both of them were metas, and after the little display here she intended to head up to the school and find out their names and addresses. She'd file a report and they'd get a notice in the mail, which would hopefully scare them a bit. But with no one pressing charges, the misdemeanor would only show up on their records if they were formally charged in court for a related crime.

The ETP with the big hair jumped much more enthusiastically into the role than Rhea had expected, but “Mister Mesto Pheles” was obviously the theatrical type. She couldn't help a slight broadening of her smile at the campy lisp. “Aw,” she clicked in appreciation of such a testament to love that kept no record of wrongs.

The misogynistic ETP responded in a more typical manner. She couldn't deny that she got some small pleasure from his burst of panic. She shook her head as he attempted to sever ties with his paramour. “Don't be like that, now,” she chided. “Time of the months happen. That's what love is all about, through thick and thin and all that.”

Lucas had moved about an inch towards Rhea when he was frozen in place by an inexorable grip on his shoulder. “Hey, this is exactly what I was afraid of.” Her voice was friendly but her eyes were cold, black steel. “I don't want to come in between you two. Now go on.” The hand on his shoulder relaxed and nudged him towards Oriel again. At the same time, she kept her fingers hooked around the back of Oriel's collar to make sure he didn't simply lunge for the other boy. “If you weren't fighting, give your nice sweet man over here a smooch. If you were, I can call Vlad up at the station and we'll all sit down for a talk.”

The officer on radio today was actually Jerry, of course, and Vlad was Czech and about five foot six, but the kids didn't need to know that.
