The BasicsName: Ashleigh Erin Browne
Nicknames: Ash, Storm (only close friends and family use this nickname).
Age: 17
Orientation: Homosexual.
Desired Rank/Job: Student.
Powers: Electricity Manipulation/Electrokinesis. Ash has the ability to control, absorb, and generate electricity. Side-effects include hydrophobia, static cling, and the tendency to overload or shut down anything that runs on electricity and fatigue.
Ash developed her powers at 14 and practised at them without fear; well, maybe a bit of nervousness; though absorption is still difficult. She tends to pass the time by causing visible sparks to jump between her finger tips, similar to those of a plasma ball toy. The static cling across her hands is thus a bit more powerful and electric shocks are a common thing in her everyday life, the static being particularly sore during the winter.
For Ash, absorption is either all or barely any. So it is either loads of volts or a few sparks. This can cause some problems when she absorbs electricity from appliances and leaves them drained but she has been improving with some severe training. Expelling electricity makes her tired, like giving her own energy to power an appliance or charge some portable gaming system.
Play By: Anna KendrickThe DetailsHair Color: Light brown that lightens near the tips.
Eye Color: Stormy grey-blue.
Any Piercings? None, surprisingly.
Any Tattoos? Ash has a small, steampunk-themed dragon circled around her right wrist.
Any Scars? A large one across the palm of her hand from an accident in her father's shop.
General Appearance:
Ash is a lanky, scrawny not skinny, 6"1 girl. Her bust size leaves much to be desired but this rarely bothers her and she scarcely notices it. Ash has a pale complexion which contrasts her coffee-coloured hair, styled short at the back and slightly longer in the front, and her dark stormy-grey eyes. She had a rather strong Northern Irish accent but only becomes concious of it when others point it out.
The most noticeable things about her appearance is her anti-social style, her dark eyes and most of all her height. Of course, her dragon tattoo also generates quite a bit of attention but you don't usually speak to someone by staring at their wrist.
Ash usually wears a black and white striped tank-top and denim shorts. The less the fabric, the less the static cling but there is no way she's going to be showing off her 'assets'. You have to work to see those. When it gets cold, or whenever she feels like it, Ash wears a hoodie striped with different shades of blue but without a zip.
Finally, Ash has a large, jagged scar that shines pearl-white on the palm of her hand. She had gotten it from an accident in her father's workshop when she was younger and it had grown with Ash ever since.
Personality:
Aggressive, sarcastic, flippant. These three words describe Ash the best. Towards strangers, acquaintances, enemies and even new friends, Ash acts rather hostile. If you approach her out of the blue expect a few rude comments coming your way. The brunette doesn't do it because she wants to upset people, she just cannot see why you decided to approach her unless you want something.
To her enemies, Ash is very aggressive. A cruel smirk, a jibe at your parents, maybe even some sly insult towards something that you have done recently; if she knows enough. What's more is that Ash loves to confuse. After being a complete ass, she might part ways with you with a compliment or something genuinely kind. This seems to scare her foes more than the insults...
To strangers and adults Ash's behaviour fluctuates. Mostly she will act passive-aggressive, like a stray dog. "What do you want?" "Can't you just go away?" "Your life must be very boring if you want to pester me." are common sayings that are usually handed to people on a silver platter with a serving bowl of "Get lost.". However, mostly towards girls, if Ash had absorbed a lot of electricity earlier, she may be a bit flirty. She will still be as rude as ever but more crass than angry.
To friends and/or acquaintances, Ash is still aggressive but less so. She might still mock you and send you the occasional insult but the brunette will tolerate your presence by ignoring you unless you say or suggest something of her interest.
When she isn't being aggressive, whether something good has happened or she is loaded with electricity, she had been described as having quite a cool image. She might still be warily hostile but it is a definite improvement from her usual attitude.Your VicesLikes:

She was a rather friendly kid and was very cheerful, just a bit more boyish than the princesses of the town. Ash loved to watch and help her father in his workshop or his garage. The two would build, fix and sell engines. Her mother died when she was four years old. There was an engine problem in the car and it crashed with her in it, her father was a wreck for months but pushed past the grief by teaching Ash more and more about machinery to make him forget the pain of losing his wife. Ash was a bit too young to understand the loss but she would still cry when he did.
When Ash was about seven, she was exploring the different parts of his garage; picking up gears, gazing at rusty metal things; and her child mind though 'oh shiny, I want to grab'. With clumsy fingers, Ash leaned forward and grasped for a circular saw. With one hand on the blade, the other accidentally bumped into the buttons of the saw and turned it on. Thankfully, her dad grabbed her from behind and pulled her away just as it activated, but Ash still had a large tear right down the middle of her palm. Her father had to take her to the hospital; he used to enjoy insisting that he could see Ash's bone though this was most likely a joke.
At school, Ash was rather popular and had a lot of friends. Mostly guys. Ash didn't get along too well with other girls due to her rough ways and 'un-ladylike' love of machines. Ash had good grades in almost all of her subjects though she did tend to get into a few arguments with her teachers, usually about her scruffy appearance and flippant personality.
Ash was fourteen when her powers manifested. She and her father had planned a movie night since another movie had come out from a series that they both loved. Nobody in her family had ever had powers, so it was rather unexpected as it is for most families. Reaching forward to turn on the television, Ash pushed the button on the TV and a surge of electricity flowed up her arm as she unwarily drained it of power. It was a shock and so she instantly jerked away from the TV with a cry of alarm. The TV stopped working due to the drain. Her father came over and checked it out but there was nothing he could see that was wrong with it. Curious, Ash pulled out her phone and tried to drain the power from it again, ignorant of what she was actually doing. After she drained the power, Ash tried to put it back but, since she was very unused to her powers, she charged it with too much energy and the screen flashed white before going black due to the fried circuits.
Thankfully, her father had nothing against meta-humans and they both nervously chuckled about Ash's new found powers before they both hugged each other out of fear and a need for comfort. Afterwards her father joked that it felt like hugging a jumper straight out of the tumble dryer, due to the static charge that would become a common part of Ash's everyday life.
At first Ash got sent to the meta-human institute in Switzerland. The most common language was English so she and her father weren't too worried. Ash was pretty excited about her first day but the other students appeared to dislike her. They disliked the way she casually brushed off most jibes, they disliked the way she wore her clothes, they disliked her brash attitude. They bullied as you would expect they would. Her dorm-mates stole her things, people tripped her up and pulled her chair from under her, she would be excluded from most extra-curricular activities at the school. There was an incident where a shapeshifter attempted to swipe at Ash that got the teachers' attention.
Eventually it got too much for Ash, a teenage mind can only handle so much pressure and the bullying was tipping her over the edge. The school advertised a transfer thing to another school in America called Hammel and Ash instantly jumped at the chance. Most teachers in school knew of the bullying and they decided to help Ash attend the transfer week in order to see if it would help her situation. Ash enjoyed the few weeks of transfer, the warmer temperatures calmed down her almost constant static charge and the people there did not carry the same hostilities that her fellow students did. So, when Ash got back to her original school, she asked the head-teacher if she could get a permanent transfer to Hammel. Multiple teachers approved this idea since they knew of the bullying that was happening and supported Ash's plead. The headteacher finally agreed but only if Ash could get her dad to allow it. After a few days, he responded to her email regarding the matter and agreed to the idea; showing concern about the bullying but being told to wait until Ash got home to discuss it.
Before Ash transferred to Hammel, she was allowed to quickly visit my dad for about two weeks back in Ireland in order to say goodbye before she was sent to America. Whilst Ash was there, she managed to convince her dad to let her get a detailed tattoo of a steampunk-styled small dragon around her wrist. Like most parents, her dad was stubborn about this matter but after Ash insisted, including some research to the limited risk of diseases she could catch and the fact that 16+ were allowed to get tattoos in Ireland but they needed parental permission until they were 18. Since her dad had fixed up a lot of broken engines from around their home town, he managed to get Ash a tattoo session with a tattoo artist who needed her dad to fix his RV's engine cylinders. The guy made Ash's dad to write down his consent for the tattoo before it happened, which he complied to. The tattoo hurt whilst it was being done but the design reminds Ash of her dad's workshop and calms her down during particularly stressful times.
That is the basics of Ash's history and at current times, she has recently arrived at Hammel.Roleplay Example(See V.K Caborn)What About You?Name: Mad, Hatter, Bob.
