Calling all members! We need your nominations for the Of The Month awards! Have you seen an awesome character lurking the forums? How about a thread you just can’t stop reading? Or a journal you keep coming back to? Nominate it here! We’re looking for nominations for all categories:

Character of the Month – Straightforward. Nominate the character you think deserves it for this month. Who was awesome? Who did something significant? As of now, Maggie's, Sydnee's, Elsinore's, Abe's, Doro's, Cat's, Nova's, and LoveIsEnergy's characters are all off limits, as they’ve won in the past eight months.

Member of the Month – Again, pretty easy, right? Toss up the name of your favorite member. Remember, Izy, Emily, Splatt, Abe, Etch, Eva, Kelly, and LoveIsEnergy are off-limits for nominations. So is everyone on staff.

Relationship of the Month – Anything goes here! Friends, romance, enemies, anything! You cannot nominate:

Journal of the Month – We will not be nominating for Journal OTM this month. All eligible journals will be included in the poll in four days. Eligible journals were posted in during the past month and have not won in the past eight months.

Event Thread of the Month – All Power Swap threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible (which is to say all Power Swaps so far.)

Character of the Month: Devyn Dell
I'm sure everyone is shocked by this, but I adore Devyn. All it took was reading his application and I knew this was a character I must thread, and I have not been disappointed. He's so adorable, and I look forward to character development as he is forced to confront his inability to balance play and school and maybe even his sexuality down the line, and as his love of competition inevitably causes problems.

Relationship of the Month: Nick Ward and Sophie Tillman - Adorkable Friends

they are THE CUTEST little friends ever, look at him all coming in needing help because he got injured (again) and her rolling her eyes affectionately and patching him up LOOK LOOK at how cute they are looooooooook

Thread of the Month: Coffee As Black As Your Soul

LOOK there is character development as Marnie and Lucas run into one another unexpectedly run into one another. Can they keep it civil?

Member of the Month: The Mad Hatter

The Mad Hatter is one of our newer members, but they've already racked up three characters and an amazing amount of posts. The Mad Hatter has really jumped into Hammel life, and I'm very excited to see what sort of plots are in their future!

Reasons: I love their character Johnathan(Jane), and they're very open for plotting the hard stuff(which if you know me, I can't get enough of ). Dan is an enjoyable person to talk to one-on-one as well. I was surprised to find out their age, honestly, because Dan writes at a level that's above their peers imo, very thorough in character creation, and mature in conversation. I hope to see more characters from Dan.

Reasons: Dry has a student character and he's all over the place! I've not the pleasure of threading with him myself, but it just pleases me to see his name posting every day and with so many other characters.

Nomination: Jacob Tapper and Jiyong Kang - Hero and Sidekick
Reasons: Why these two you ask? Because they're darned cute! That's why! Jiyong looks up to Jake so much, almost to the point of idolization, and Jake just eats up the attention he gets from Jiyong(as if Jake didn't already have a big enough ego). In this pairing, Jake sees himself as the big brother, the ladies' man, the man who knows about being a man, and Jiyong is the sidekick who re-enforces those self-perceptions. They should cuddle in a snowstorm.

Reasons: Starring Sunar and Conner. I really love reading threads where the characters casually mention other characters on the site despite not having threaded/plotted together. Because this is high school, and there are always those people who stand out(like the guy who turns into a whale). I just really like that they acknowledged this so casually.

Reasons: Jack has hopped right into the Hammel life like she's been here forever.  She's very active in the cbox as well as in roleplaying, and is a very fun person to talk to!

Reasons: I think I've nominated him before for biased reasons, but this time that's not the only reason haha. Pheli has been posting a ton with him lately (not just with me!) and has really got some good plots going for him. I love how innocent he likes to act when really he's probably one of her most insincere characters. Fun times all around.

Reasons: Okay so I don't normally like to nominate a character for both COTM and ROTM, but I'm really enjoying the delicious tension between these guys. I'm a sucker for hateful sexual tension, and boy have these guys got a lot of it. Pheli and LIE are both great writers as well, so it's a fun plot to follow : D

Reasons: It was really hard for me to pick one person to nominate for this category. I've only been on here a short amount of time but everyone has made me feel very welcome. I get very nervous about new groups but it's made it a lot easier for me to get involved due to how friendly Pollo (and everyone else is).
Also her thumbnail is Toothless and I have an undying love for Toothless.

Reasons: Leah is doing a great job with Amber. Her angst and spirit come through so strongly in her posts, and I look forward to getting to thread with her someday.

Nomination: Colton
Reasons: I'd like to take a moment to talk about how wonderful Colton is. Although he isn't in the C-Box as often as some of us, due to school and RL, he's so friendly, and he goes out of his way to make open threads, answer open threads, and plot with many different people. I'm fond of his character Colton, and not simply because he and I share our handles with our characters, but because I like that type of student, and his power has so much potential. More than that, however, Colton brought Andreas back, which fills me with glee.

Nomination: Kiara Lilien and Gabriel James - Loving Support
Reasons: Kiara and Gabriel have the type of supportive relationship that, I think, most functional adults envy if they don't have it with someone in their own lives. More than being invested in their threads and interactions, I'm truly glad that they have one another, particularly with the difficult time that Gabriel has had to live through recently, and I share Kiara's pride that he is seeking out AAA support as well.

Reasons: Since Sean isn't in this thread and I created it in my staff capacity, it doesn't count as one of mine, and I get to nominate it for TOTM. Anyone not already participating in this thread should join it, or otherwise, they should read it. The topic is pure Hammel - students prove they can't be left unsupervised for even an hour or two, and, unsurprisingly, Nora Marie is instigating and escalating, with the addition of real blood to the Halloween dance decor. It's the type of group thread I'm always happy to see thrive.
