The BasicsName: Faith Sarah Riddell
Nicknames: Nagini is her commonly used name, a small joke her little sister made; Naga or Nag is used as an abbreviation.
Age: 19
Orientation: Homosexual.
Desired Rank/Job: University Of Vermont student (Freshman).
Powers: Shapeshifting:
Naga has the ability to transform into either a 20 foot reticulated python or a king cobra. The constrictor form is her most preferred since her behaviour is similar to that of her personality and she has more control of her actions. Her king cobra is more risky; one, because of the venom and two, because her behaviour is a bit more aggressive and/or jumpy but can still be controlled.
Naga's side effects include pain while shifting, a strong dislike for cold temperatures, a tendency to hiss or bite, her eating habits are affected (large amounts eaten every so often) and other similar effects.
Snake Communication: Naga has the ability to talk with snakes. The snakes she can speak to easily are usually those that have been around her the longest, she can speak to her cornsnake and other snakes in her family's care fluently. Wild snakes tend to be more difficult to understand and usually try to ignore her.
Side-effects could include temporary loss of human communication skills and occasional snake-like habits.
Play By: Jennifer LawrenceThe DetailsHair Color: Mostly a bright blonde but with naturally brown roots.
Eye Color: Stormy blue eyes.
Any Piercings? The normal ear piercings however she rarely wears earrings any more since it is too painful during shifting.
Any Tattoos? A combination of a celtic and a steampunk-like design up one arm.
Any Scars? Many small ones along her arms from the occasional snake nip. A large, very noticeable one on her neck from when she had a disagreement with a burmese python.
General Appearance:
Naga has fairly pale skin, broken by a few moles along her arms and neck. Her hair is naturally a dark brown but she dies it a bright blond when the colour starts to fade; her eyes are a dark stormy blue. Her build is slim, but surprisingly strong and tall; standing at 6"3. Once she's got you in a hug you cannot escape. An unusual characteristic of Naga's is her roughly 7cm long tongue; she enjoys sticking it out to creep out other's around her or simply to make them laugh.
Naga usually wears a black tank top and a just a pair of boy shorts when she's inside. However, she is a bit more decent when in lessons or wandering about town; wearing a black leather jacket over her tank top and tattered loose jeans. She always wears a silver chain necklace with a silver Chinese dragon pendant on it. Unusually, on one side of the pendant, attached to the chain, is a small bright pink dinosaur and on the other side is a small panda. This would seem very out of place to a stranger but the two pendants were given to her by her younger brother and sister, whom she loves dearly.
Personality:
Naga is the physical embodiment of chill and basically the complete opposite of how she looks. Whilst her appearance might come across as brutish or aggressive, Naga is a very relaxed and happy person. Rarely anything ruffles her the wrong way and she is incredibly friendly, maybe a bit too touchy but some people don't mind her cuddly affection.
When someone upsets her, Naga would usually just frown and stare at them until they get uncomfortable or ask them why they think saying such hurtful things was acceptable. When someone insults her siblings or loved ones, they better run in the opposite damn direction. Naga is strong enough to break a few fingers and her tolerance goes out the window when you insult her baby brothers and sisters or people she loves. If it is a repeat offender, she'll probably hiss at them.
Her informalities can make other people uncomfortable, although she does not realise this, and can make her professors annoyed with her. Bubbles of personal space don't really exist in Naga's world and she'll even try to be affectionate in her snake form; though these snake hugs could be mistaken as something more violent.
Although she doesn't seem it, Naga is actually very intelligent; especially when it comes to reptiles or biology. She is happy to help others, but if it involves computer coding you should probably find someone else; these skills are limited. Although she tries not to be, her cornsnake's dirty thinking has rubbed off on her; though these thoughts will be thought in silence and Naga will mostly embarrass herself.
Naga can be quite absent-minded. She'll be wandering around in a spacey doze before snapping back into focus just as she head butts a door or wall. This quirk is apparent in her snake form as well; tending to slither into places she shouldn't, such as schools, rooms and shops, before realising where she had gone.Your VicesLikes:

Any Other Important People: Ribbon, a male tessera cornsnake.HistoryNaga's family originally lived in England when she was younger. She was the second oldest out of a family that grew to be eight members large. Her mother was a very kind woman, though she spent most of her time working at a veterinary clinic. Her father was a house husband and spent his time raising up Naga and her siblings; rather wonderfully I would say. Her father made quite a bit of money on the side by breeding, raising and selling cornsnakes and ball pythons; though he had always wanted to extend the species of snake he handled. Naga was seen as the peacekeeper of the family, when her other siblings got in an argument, she would quietly sit them down to talk it out or she would send them to the naughty step. Both parents' found her respected authority amongst her brothers and sisters amusing.
She was a quiet kid and well-behaved, despite the occasional laziness or seemingly disrespectful behaviour. Her school struggled to handle her relaxed personality amongst the other argumentative children but she did what she could to help and tried to complete her school work; friendships didn't seem that important at that age due to her large family. Naga would usually amuse herself, drawing, reading or playing with her brothers.
When Naga was about ten years old, her family moved to Vermont in America from Britain. Her father had been a snake breeder and her mother had been a successful veterinarian, however they decided to move to America in order to unite her father's company with another company that caught and restrained snakes and large lizards, including crocodiles.
Whilst Naga had been excited for this move, her brothers' Finn and Rowan; the only ones old enough to have an opinion of the move; were a bit more sceptical. There was no reason to be though. Shortly after they moved, they were enrolled in a school. Thankfully, most of the other students were very accepting and rather fascinated by their origin and their father's job. Of course, Naga was seen as slightly odd by the other girls since she didn't express any interest in make-up, boys or common things seen as feminine. Naga much preferred to spend time with the boys and her brothers; they complained at first but once they realised that she could tackle harder than some of them, they accepted her into their social group.
Naga helped her father almost everyday after school in the shop, feeling very at ease amongst the scaly creatures unlike her older brother. At one point, she made a bad move with one of the pythons and the creature bit her along the neck. Thankfully it wasn't a deep bite and her father instantly removed the snake from her. It wasn't deep but her father still took her to the hospital where she got stitches. The wound healed but left her neck scarred. Strangely, this didn't deter Naga and she wanted to help in the shop even more.
Naga quickly grew popular during the year before her manifestation; her relaxed nature and friendly ways were known about the school. A few months after Naga's eleventh birthday, she had her manifestation. She was helping her father and her older brother, Rowan, in the 'shop' where they kept the snakes and lizards in vivariums. Suddenly, Naga doubled over as pain shot up her spine and spread throughout her muscles. The pain was unbearable and the shift was slow. After a while of panic as her father struggled to help, Naga had shifted into 20 foot reticulated python. As expected, she was very scared by the sudden change and she wasn't thinking 'humanly'. Her brother reached down shakily to try and help her, despite his father's warnings, but the second he touched her scales, Naga whipped around and bit him out of fear. Used to snake bites, her father managed to remove her jaws from Rowan's arm and kept her out of harm's way until the fear that made Naga dangerous faded.
When she finally transformed back, Naga was still scared but not as panicked. Hammel found out about her manifestation in a day since her family lived close by and she was transferred to the Institute. Naga didn't really feel scared any more, worried perhaps. She was very relaxed even as a child and so she took this in her stride; though the fact that she bit her brother always haunted her. Her family weren't hostile about her new found abilities however they were scared at first. A python alone is dangerous but one with human emotions was a bit unpredictable. Thankfully, they became fairly confident with her snake form and made quite a few jokes about it, one brother even jokingly suggested that they use her in shows though this idea was never put into play.
Studies, shifting and sleeping fuelled her days in Hammel. Of course, she knew fellow students and she was on good terms with a lot of people, though Naga didn't feel as if any of them were her close friends. On the average, she obtained good grades and became quite skilled at her shifting; she just needs to work on adjusting the temperament of her venomous form.
Sadly, when Naga was 16, her mother died in a car crash on her way to visit her in Hammel. It was a very traumatic time for the family; especially for her father who loved her dearly. The youngest siblings, Lily and Robert were roughly five at the time of the accident and so they were raised between her father and siblings with little memory of their mother. Naga always regretted not spending enough time with her family after the death and has always tried to make up for lost time since then; spending her weekends and holidays with them instead of with friends or by herself.
Naga is currently attending University of Vermont as a Freshman; she hopes to inherit the family business of snake breeding and catching from her father. Until then, she is perfectly happy with living in the dorms and basically just slitherin' about campus.
Interesting fact. Naga's nickname, Nagini, was gifted to her by her youngest sister called Lily. Most her family had read the Harry Potter books but Lily was fascinated with them. The second Naga shifted in front of her, when she had a lot more control over her forms, the girl screeched "NAGINI!" It has been a long-running joke in the family ever since then but Naga doesn't mind and still refers to herself as that in the present.Roleplay Example(See: Ash Browne, Cameron Wilder)What About You?Name: Mad Hatter or Greg.
