Time Warp: Spring Breakin out the Wine

It was her Junior Year at Hammel, and the 17 year old Annalyse was very, well lets just say she needed a break. Luckily it was time for the annual spring break. Normally she would just go back to Los Angeles, but this year, this year was special. Annalyse had finally convinced her parents to let her go visit Nonno in Italy.She knew enough Italian to be able to converse and speak with ease with her Grandfather, and he had promised that She could go. It took a whole lot of convincing and a whole lot of begging. They had finally relented with the caveat she had to do something educational while she was there.

She had also miraculously convinced her parents that Shay could go. He was one of her best friends at Hammel, and she known that they couldn't say no to him. Especially when they found out what a good influence he was on her. They had to have known he was helping her pass her classes. She might have also promised to bet all B's on her next report card. She was trying, its just that some of her classes just couldn't hold her interest. It wasn't like every teacher at Hammel could magically make their subject interesting either. She knew that she could do it, she just didn't really want to.

Waiting in line to board the plane first class, Annalyse smiled over at Shay. "You ready? It's gonna be awesome." She was super excited for this and she was super excited for the next two weeks. "Hope you don't mind flying."

Shay looked over at his partner when she asked her question, "A bit late to be asking that isn't it," he chuckled and bumped against her side before shaking his head. "No, I've never had problems at least." But he'd developed several anxieties at the hand of his manifestation, and they had only worsened over the course of time.

The gnawing at his gut was mostly to be blamed by the looming idea of going out of country for the first time and the unfamiliar buzz of the airport. He offered her a nervous smile and shrugged, attempting to alleviate his worry by teasing her. "I got you here to protect me if anything goes wrong, yeah?"

He'd always been fond of Ana, they'd sparked together very easily as friends. She even thought his teasing was funny, which his family found to be a miracle, and she returned his humor in kind. They'd been rather inseparable as of late and he had been quite excited to travel with her despite any of the small fear that lingered in his mind.

Things would be alright, he told himself, Ana was safe and knew him well. He didn't have to worry about handling it by himself.
