“Well, that’s because you gotta appease the gods, don’t you know? Otherwise they’ll rain fire and brimstone on your crops and shit.” She didn’t notice the slip of the curse word, despite her trying to keep her language clean.
Cadence was a hoot, though! A bit dark and morbid, but nothing off-putting to the short-haired tomboy. It made her realize that she was probably going to have a lot of trouble remembering to be careful about the touching business. Noa tended to get extra touchy with people she liked…
Nora was much much quieter, but no less interesting than their other dark-haired roommate. Motorbikes was such an unconventional hobby interest, it made the girl seem like she had a whole wild side hidden behind her shyness. “Oh, wow! So you’ve been riding since you were little, huh?” She shook her head, imagining what it must be like. “I’ve never been on one myself, but I’d probably fall off and go flying.” Noelle demonstrated what she meant by pantomiming the scenario with her hands, with one flying off the other as it sped away.
She didn’t think there would be such a response from both of the girls over her muscles and wrestling. Well, no, she supposed she hoped to be impressive, because who didn’t like showing off their own talents? “Ah ha ha ha ha ha,” she laughed at Cadence’s comment. “Yeah, um. If you need me to bounce out some terrible ex-boyfriend or something, then sure! Call me up!” Not that she expected them to have terrible ex-boyfriends, but she knew guys could get rough with girls, and that wasn’t good at all!
“Um…!” she said loudly, not really expecting the question from Nora. “….don’t leave the milk out?” She laughed, scratching her fingers through her short hair awkwardly. “I don’t know, I’m pretty easygoing, there’s not a lot that gets to me, I guess.” It was the truth. She had her own habits and peculiarities, she supposed, but she never really expected other people to strictly adhere by them. Like in the matter of keeping the house neat and tidy. That was her thing, but if they didn’t do it, then oh well. There was nothing wrong with making mention of doing a simple task, right?
