General Appearance: Standing at 5"11', August is rather tall, with broad shoulders that have come from his love of mountain biking. He is fit, but he isn't extremely toned, with some flabber on his stomach. When August walks, he walks with confidence and a air of quiet coolness. When he runs, he's either working out or late for something - those the chances of him being late for anything important are tiny. August's hair is scruffy, but short, never really going past his ears. Due to his love of hair dye, he takes good care of it, so his hair is still as soft as he can get it to be, and not straw like. His eyes often have a mischievous glint shining in them, and though he has been known to be a prankster, it's just because he's a cheeky bugger. He does need glasses, but rarely wears them, as they just tend to be a nuisance, so he wears contact lenses instead. His clothing style is generally relaxed, but it depends on the situation. If he's chilling out with friends, his clothes will be baggy and comfortable - but if he has a hot date? He certainly knows how to clean up - smart shirt, clean slacks, maybe even polished shoes if you're worthy enough. He smartens up for work as well, but not that much. Jeans are usually still in his portfolio for work. He keeps his piercings in pretty much all the time, for simplicities sake. August also has a charming smile that he often shows off to match his fairly charming personality. 
Personality: Augustus isn't a man of sensitivity and careful treading - he is very much open, bold and unafraid to be completely honest. He does have a somewhat gentler side reserved for the people he cares about... or bird. August will probably never be as doting to anyone as he is to Joy, his 

cockatiel. Anyway, August can tend to give off rather an extroverted vibe when you first meet him, his words bursting with charisma and charm and his actions confident and clear, but he feels most at him element with as little people as possible. He still enjoys to party, though, even if he is somewhat health conscious and won't get drunk except for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. If you're lucky enough to spend some one-on-one time with him without going to the bedroom straight away, you would discover an intelligent man, with strong beliefs, somewhat poetic thoughts and a strong mind. His romantic loyalty could be questionable, but as a friend, he is as loyal as it gets.

He could be seen as arrogant. The people who see him this way clearly aren't blind. He is proud of himself, his abilities and his appearance, despite the fact he didn't go to university, he doesn't have a full time job and leeches off of his parents for half of his money.

Augustus isn't a romantic - he likes doing the do and doing it good, but a good solid relationship, to last him the years to come? Sounds terrifying. He would never be able to handle anyone for that long and besides, he was too much of a flirt to stay loyal. It showed in his relationship history - nine ex-girlfriends and five ex-boyfriends, half of which broke up with him, the other half he broke up with. His familial relationships prosper a lot better however - Augustus keeps in good contact with his parents and his brother, and cares about them all wholeheartedly. August is organised and likes to keep it that way, structuring his life as much as he can, though he does give himself some leniency, especially if Joy is involved. (ESTJ-A)

History

Augustus was born on the third of June to two loving parents, Rosie and Pat. As a child, he showed much potential and he was a good kid. He took care of the other kids and had a lot of friends, and was smart, but also pretty chilled out, especially as he got older. Like most children, he had his hyperactive moments, and he certainly did like to run around, but he gained a good control over his energy. He often finished work before his peers, and properly, and this trend also continued as he got older. His parents expected great things from him, and one of the first things he said he wanted to be when he grew up was a doctor.

That wish disappeared as he grew older, though. As a teenager, he researched the possibility and felt completely put off by the amount of competition, as well as all the ridiculous hard work. He did like to work hard, and he did like the idea of being a doctor... if he just didn't need to remember so much. He thought he would probably implode from all the pressure, so his past dream got put in the past. What wasn't left in the past was his love of books. He had a bookshelf full of the beloved things in his room (which he shared with Nath, but he didn't mind that). Shortly after ditching his idea of studying medicine, August turned even more to his books, and became intrigued by writing. His teachers were astonished by his poetic prose, and praised him for his somewhat natural ability to write. He loved being able to create a new world, away from the one he lived in. Not that life wasn't good; it was great, certainly, but... boring. And he had lost some of the spark he had had as a child, and now knew some of the darkness of the world. He continued to work well and study well, achieving good grades whilst still maintaining a solid group of friends, and a couple of romantic interests, even at a younger age. What could he say? He had a charming way of being. The girls loved him, he couldn't help it. His parents thought it was cute. His brother thought he was an idiot. All was normal in the world.

He did discover, however, that it was more than just girls that liked him, even if that wasn't something he was completely open about at first. He didn't care if anyone found out, it was usually the other guy who did. Had conservative parents or something. He quickly found out that his grandma was against homosexuality and 'all that weirdness' but it didn't bother August. Not much, anyway. His parents didn't mind, as long as he was happy. 

Back on track - Augustus excelled at school and got his diploma, and... that's where his education ended. His parents were extremely confused. He explained that he wanted to be an author. They argued that it could help him to get a degree in literature, but he disagreed, feeling like the experience of going to university would be too restricting, and that he wanted a change from all that, and from where he was. Eventually, they agreed to support him, funding him yearly with the money they would have otherwise used to fund his going to college, which was a fair amount of money. On top of that, they do tend to give him extra if he asks, as long as he's nice about it, and does something in return, such as checking in on his grandparents and cooking their dinner.

They ask him specifically because one of the first things he did after high school was move away, somewhat far away. He had lived in the same town in Michigan his whole life and he was tired of seeing all the same places. His parents suggested that he could move to Vermont as that was where his grandparents (his mother's parents - his other Grandpa passed before he was born, and his Gran was living in Germany currently) were, and the family often struggled to take care of them whenever they went through a difficult time of illness or intense cold, so August took up the offer gladly. He moved to a town called Pilot Ridge and began renting a apartment (x). He found a job at a local bookstore and soon after bought Joy, his cockatiel, who he loves dearly and takes careful care of, spending lots of his time talking to her and playing with her. He found out from his Grandpa that the nearby school was for meta students, which was... very interesting. Of course, it's hush-hush, August doesn't go around telling people who shouldn't know. He's just kind of jealous, always curious of what ability he would have had if he was powered. Oh well, he can just write about it and live the fantasy that way. He's currently (as of January '16) loosely dating a girl called Stephanie, but he's getting bored rapidly, as usual. A break up is expected there. He likes to keep himself in shape for that reason, and others, including the fact that he feels awesome when he looks awesome. He likes being able to just relax and do what he wants (around his job), it's a lot more fun than a lot of other people's lives seem.
