Jesse had never expected to voluntarily make his way to the security office. Especially when he spent so much time trying to avoid the hell out of the security team in general. But after his scare right before Christmas, not to mention the time he’d spent holed up at his trainer’s house in sheer panic, Mr. Meian had convinced him it was a good idea to at least talk to the security team. Reassurance, if nothing else.
He hadn’t been all that receptive to the idea at first, but the more he thought about it, the more he figured it would be… beneficial. If nothing else, it would let him sleep a little better.
Ha, that was a joke. But it might make him feel better. If he was lucky.
His pace slowed as he neared the security office. There was probably a file a foot thick on him alone, between his behaviour before running away, his actions during his time away, and his probation details. There was something utterly daunting to attempt to meet with the one person he’d tried to steer clear from, but he knew it was something he had to do. For his sanity.
It didn’t help that the head of security was… intimidating. He suspected that even if he didn’t have his hang ups about huge, imposing, powerful men, Vincent Romanov would still be scary as hell. Add in his general skittishness with huge, imposing, powerful men and it was taking all his will power to not turn tail and run.
It took him a few minutes of standing in front of the security office’s door before he mustered the courage to actually knock. He didn’t know if his trainer had told Mr. Romanov to expect him or not, but it was too late to second guess now. He just had to hope for the best.
And try not to run.
