Cat has the ability to manipulate the bones in her body; including the ability to grow new bone mass, rearrange one’s bone shapes, and protrude bones from one’s body. Due to training during her time at Kocher haute école pour les surdoués, a school in Switzerland for meta students, Cat has become quite talented at her ability but still suffers from one of the side-effects.

Cat suffers from fatigue, though the effects have lessened as she aged, she still needs some sort of energy boost in the mornings; whether it is from caffeine or adrenaline. However, Cat still suffers from calcium deficiency and skeletal soreness. She takes calcium tablets to avoid any health issues and post-pone any possible early-onset osteoporosis.

Any Tattoos? A large black one on her right shoulder; it's basically a Batman symbol that cracks into smaller, slightly more life-like bats as it circles down her shoulder.
Any Scars? Some on her knuckles and along her back from accidents involving her ability.
General Appearance:
Cat stands at 5"7, inheriting her height from her tall mother rather than her father, and tends to walk in a hurry, even when she doesn't need to be somewhere. When talking to people, it can be hard to tell if she's being sarcastic or serious or making a joke, her tone of voice is usually level and rarely changes. Unless spooked. It isn't hard to guess where she was born since her English accent is pretty strong.

Cat is a pretty lady, though she tends to push away people by being... herself. She has pale skin, dark ebony hair and very light blue eyes that stand out.

She has a slim build, generally skinny everywhere, and she isn't very strong but she always finds a way; even if that way is particularly destructive. The woman commonly wears a striped jumper with dark blue, light blue and white stripes accompanied by black shorts, tights and trainers. Why? Because she wants to. Cat takes great joy in embarrassing others by wearing horrible holiday wear. Christmas? Light-up snowman jumper. Easter? Bunny ears. Valentines? Some comedic, and slightly suggestive, t-shirt.


Personality: 
Cat is a sarcastic person that enjoys her own company but can enjoy others if they aren't stupid. Or if they're stupid enough to hurt themselves and cause amusement. It can be hard to tell if she's serious or not about something and if you ask, she won't tell you. She can be quite complicated to understand. Her language can be a bit crude though she'll try to avoid swearing in front of students, even if she lets the odd word slip by.

If a student or teacher has hurt themselves, Cat will always try to make a pun out of it. She enjoys hearing about the stories of how people came across their injuries; mostly because its strange how someone can just fall over and somehow break their ankle. Despite the jokes she makes about people's wounds, Cat will always try to patch them up to the best of her ability.

Despite her prickly exterior, Cat can be quite sensitive to other people's emotions, though she usually won't act upon them. If you are on the verge of tears, Cat might try and stop that from happening since she feels it would make both her and the person uncomfortable. However she can also be a bit slow, Cat can struggle to pick up on particular hint drops during conversation.

Cat hates being scared but always harbors some strange form of irritated respect for those that manage to spook her. If someone can manage to make a good pun, especially if they are in pain, also manage to gain her respect.

History

Cat had a fairly basic childhood. She was born without any complications and was an unruly toddler and teen. She was born in England and had a surprisingly strong accent; stronger than her mothers and her fathers and she was occasionally mocked for it though it didn't bother her. Cat didn't have any allergies or major illnesses so her toddler years were fairly uneventful. When she was old enough, her father, a jiu-jitsu trainer for children and adults, started to teach her how to do the martial art. Unfortunately, Cat didn't find the art interesting and stopped after she obtained a black belt but still helped her father train newbies. However, she still remembers all of the defense moves as she occasionally practices at home.

During school, she was a quiet child and didn't tend to stick to the rules however she was surprisingly sociable. Cat had a good group of friends and rarely felt lonely from her primary school to secondary school. Her grades were good though, despite being social, her people skills were below average. It was odd but her quirks were accepted with little question. The teachers got along with her and enjoyed her sass and sarcasm which she picked up rather early. Cat always struggled with spelling certain words though...

Cat manifested around 14; she had been reading a revision book for homework when she got a strange but sharp pain along her forearm and the back of her wrist. The second she moved, two long shards of bone burst through the skin on the back of her wrist; twice the length of her hand and very jagged. Of course, it spooked her. Her own bones had just burst from her arm like friggin' blades. Somehow, Cat managed to focus the bones back in, leaving two horizontal gashes on each arm that started to bleed, before going downstairs to tell her parents.

The Switzerland school for metas contacted them shortly afterwards and Cat was transferred to the school. She struggled slightly with some language blocks and made a few friends but this was around the time she started to become an introvert. Whether it was the pressure to study and become a doctor or the fact that she couldn't quite control how to control her bones, it wasn't entirely sure why she just stopped bothering with people. Her grades increased due to extra time spent studying and some people still hung around her; asking her for help with studying, to which she said no, or for some other thing. Cat did teach a few of the students some jiu-jitsu moves but was stopped after the teachers heard about it.

After Cat graduated from the school, she moved back to the UK and got accepted into a college where she obtained a  bachelor's degree after four years. The degree focused on chemistry, organic chemistry, anatomy, biology, physics and calculus. She was known within her classes but still didn't socialize with other people that much; preferring to study since medical school can be very difficult.

Cat managed to successfully get into a medical school; passing her MCAT despite the competitive nature of the admission. She spent four years in medical school; studying anatomy, biochemistry, ethics, pharmacology, physiology and psychology. Cat noticed that her social skills were lacking but didn't bother trying to fix her popularity, since she had started seeing having 'friends' as a distraction from her goal. During the last two years of her medical school,  Cat gained medical experience at the local hospital. She learnt how to diagnose and treat patients while working under the supervision of licensed physicians.

Cat spent a further three years working in residence at a nearby hospital, she recovered some of the social skills she lost; other trainees forcing her to go along on their outings. It wasn't all terrible but it was definitely something she wasn't used to.

Now the only thing she needed was to get a license; so she applied for a UK license. After the wait period, Cat's license was accepted. Thinking about the future, Cat realized that some humans might not trust metas, especially those with dangerous abilities. So, she decided to try and get a job around or near other metas, preferably in a place where metas are accepted as a common everyday thing.

Cat searched through the internet for job opportunities and came across Hammel. She had always wanted to go to America even though she never had. Cat used her UK license to get a U.S. license and moved across to Pilot Ridge, using some money she had saved over the years to buy an apartment. She then applied for a doctor's job at the Hammel Institute and was thrilled when it was accepted, though she kept her excitement on the inside.

So, for the time-being, Cat has been content listening to the stories of students and teachers injuries whilst making terrible, terrible puns about them.

Good Start!

It's great to see another character from you, Pastel and I'm sorry for the review delay. However, Katy requires some edits before she can be accepted for play.

Katy's personality needs to be toned down greatly, because, as it stands, she would not be hired as a doctor in a school full of volatile, emotional teenagers. She doesn't have to be friendly with the students or with her coworkers. She doesn't have to buy into the idea that everyone is unique in their own special way. She can be sarcastic with her coworkers, and she doesn't have to smile. She can make puns. However, she can't delight in scaring the students, she can't treat the students with utter contempt. She needs to demonstrate enough maturity to be part of the faculty rather than another one of the teenagers, and the inability to hold a mature conversation with someone she dislikes, or about a topic she dislikes, is not conducive to adult employment. So please dial it back.

For her power: side effects can be lessened with training and control, but they can't be overcome completely. As a result, she will still suffer from fatigue if she uses her ability too much or pushes herself too far. That won't be a past side effect but a current, albeit less frequent, one.

For her strengths: there are a number of different martial arts. If she is strong in one, please name it specifically. You mention jiu-jitsu in the history, so I presume this is the one you mean. Replace "martial arts" with "jiu-jitsu" in the strengths.

The European school is in Switzerland, not Sweden.

To get a U.S. medical license, she would first need to have applied for one in England and then gotten reciprocal licensing in the U.S. after she moved. So please have her get her license in the UK before she chooses to apply for the Hammel position across the Atlantic. She can have her training and license honored in the U.S. after moving to Vermont for the Hammel position. Aside from not honoring unlicensed out of nation training (meaning that she would have to retake exams in the U.S. if she isn't licensed first in the UK), it would make no sense for her to seek a Vermont license when she is a UK resident, when there is no guarantee of a job in the U.S. that would get her a work visa.
