Powers: Animal Mimicry (bird of prey only) – consists of bird-like senses or supernatural agility, these cannot manifest at the same time. Supernatural agility – the ability is superior to what naturally can be accomplished Users are glaringly, obviously and unnaturally more agile than their race because their capabilities are pushed beyond the natural level; making them immensely more agile and able to combine their balance, bodily coordination, speed, reflexes, strength and endurance than normal members of their species can achieve by any method of training.

Bird-like senses- Sight and Hearing can be advanced from those of human to bird-quality. Sight can be 4 times that of a human, in terms of perception of motion and detail. The Details
Hair Color: Dark Brunette
Eye Color: Blue
Any Piercings?None
Any Tattoos? A feather on her hip
Any Scars? A few small scars (detail below)
General Appearance:
Ava is approximately 5’7, with a very slim figure ( some would say maybe a little too slim). Her body shape is very feminine and elegant (much like a birds). Her skin tone has always been pale, much to her dislike. Her eyes are a shocking light blue and look unmatching to her dark brunette hair. Her hair is almost always left un-styled, resulting in a light curl. Most of the time it is down but when she is involved in physical activity it is usually put in a ponytail to keep out of her face.
There are no unusual physical attributes to Ava, relating to her power. In fact, the only physical observation that someone may pick up on is her feather tattoo on her hip. She actually had it done at the time she truly accepted her abilities and it reminds her of the positives behind them.
Ava has a few small scars, the majority caused at the time she had not learnt to control her abilities. Occasionally she had no control over the coming and going of her advanced agility and unfortunately this led to some scratches and scraps.
Her casual and her favourite wear involves joggers and a loose long-sleeved top, she likes the feel of being free and prefers looser clothing. Occasionally, for serious, smart occasions, she will make a little effort and wear things to suit the occasion.
Personality:
How would people describe Ava? Firstly, they would define her as a very unpredictable and spontaneous individual. She isn’t particularly a social person, she isn’t one of them people to just go up to another and say ‘hey!’. However, if someone does get her involved in a conversation about something she feels passionate about, she can be a very engaging person.
Emotions have never come easy to Ava, she does not cry at sad movies or coo over babies. In terms of love, she has never looked for it or fantasized about it. She currently sees relationships as a tie-down, an anchor on life. Not for her. Due to her ability, her attention to detail is intense. She easily picks up on small indicators of something and assesses situations quickly and efficiently.
She is a very determined person, imagine an eagle during a hunt. The bird will lock onto what they want and will certainly ensure they get it! This has had its good and also its bad moments in her life.
In terms of her teaching, her passion is evident in her methods and style. She isn’t a strict teacher, but she will not let pupils take the mick within her class. Being quite young herself to be a teacher she can build good professional rapport with her students and many enjoy her company.
Ava has a tendency to react impulsively in the face of conflict, when feeling threatened Ava struggles to back down.

History
To Ava, her history seems completely normal, but it wasn’t, not completely anyway. She was born and raised in England, and had an emotionally distant relationship with her parents. She had little friends through childhood and children tended to pick on her. . Within school, she was top of the class for physical education and average performance for the rest. At the age of 14, around the time she was experiencing puberty, she had some flushes of signs of something 'extra' but couldn't quite put her finger on it. She would suffer from migraines and her vision would become blurry for a moment or two. She also experienced an ease in some of the sports she took at school, she occasionally felt more fluid during play.
Whilst at school she partook in some varied sports netball and volleyball were her personal favourites. Occasionally she would be included in some film of matches which would end up on social media. Many people would comment on her skill and agility, little did they know she suffered many side-effects to these 'extras' of hers. She believed the videos posted online is what caught the eye of the Kocher. She was recruited by Kocher and although she found it difficult to leave her old life, she was excited for what Kocher would offer. She really enjoyed it there, it felt like she belonged there and she was comfortable with the other students and teachers. Whilst here, she developed a new interest, dance. She had always liked to dance but had never taken it seriously. It wasn’t until she was actually taught the different types of dance did she actually begin to appreciate the power of dance.
Part of her training involved meditation and this was a method which helped her in controlling her abilities. It took her 4 and a half years to master them completely, but the day of realization and acceptance of her powers was a memorable day for Ava. When she left Kocher, she didn’t really have an idea on what to do with her life. A professional dancer was not for her, she didn’t want that many eyes on her at one time. The alternative to a professional dancer was an academia dancer, a teacher.
She ended up travelling to America, and she enjoyed the freedom it provided. She soon realised that she had to think of a career, to earn the green paper. With her love of dance, she decided to attempt to attain a teaching licence. It was tough and there was occasions where she really questioned what she was doing. Her determined personality was a bonus when it came to her teacher training, she completed it without any major problems. There were a few hiccups but nothing none of the other trainees weren’t experiencing.
Whilst in America, she kept her power under-wraps. No-one needed to know and she had no close friends to tell. She led a relatively secret life in terms of her powers, not her choice, it just never got brought up. On her travels she had met a few people ‘like her’, in a group together. They confined in her of a school in Vermont which catered for children ‘like her’. This sounded quite intriguing, not just as a person who taught children but more for the fact she would be helping the next generation of her ‘kind’. Perhaps giving them the help and care that they needed to establish into wholesome beings. Eh, who knows she could find the next Fred Astaire or Anna Pavlova! With a glint in her eye and a small smile on her face she began to fill out the application form.
Roleplay Example
Phoenix was looking rather dashing today, the lighting was just right as it crept through the blinds and hit his feathers. His eyes piercing yet calm as he glared at his owner, Ava.
‘Ok,ok!’
She spoke to her feathered friend, whether he could understand her was a completely different matter. She looked around her bedroom and gazed up at the ceiling. She was suffering from that early morning get-up syndrome that she seemed to have most mornings before work. With a groan, she fluidly propped herself out of her bed and proceeded to stretch all her limbs.
Her first stop, the fridge. She had a very hungry mouth to feet and he wasn’t exactly being subtle about it. As soon as her hand touched the fridge, Phoenix placed himself right on top of the kitchen side, besides his beloved fridge.
‘Patience is a virtue, ya know’
Once again, the poor bird had no idea what she said and did he care… Nah. Ava grabbed the plastic box containing small hatchlings (dead of course) and proceeded to give one to the bird. The food was met with a dramatic snatch and a quick proceeding into eating it commenced.
Second on the to-do-list was a shower followed by breakfast. Heading into her bathroom she pulled the cord and the room lit. A tinge in her eyes erupted for a moment as her heightened sight uncontrollably surfaced and informed Ava that the sudden light wasn’t appreciated. It usually occurred in the morning…when she would lose control of her abilities probably the early morning tiredness that caused it. With a quick blink, everything was back under control, but she still proceeded to give her eyes a quick rub. She took a heavy morning sigh and began her shower routine. Soap, Lather, Rinse.
Leaving the bathroom, she brushed down her clothes with her hands in an attempt to convince herself she actually gave a bat about how she looked. She grabbed her stuff off the dining table and the thick glove (clearly designed for sharp talons) and advanced towards the front door. She propped her arm into the glove and cooed softly for the bird to ‘jump on’. He was going flying!
