We'll dance, laugh and touch: Plotting with Bells

[Annabelle Coronova]

Meet Annabelle Joelle Coronova, a sixteen year old teenager with a very special gift, although the level of its importance in society has yet to be determined. This will be her first year at Hammel Institute, as everything in her world is changing and flipping upside down. She's trying to take it in strides, though, and wants more than ever to take hold of her abilities, and control them rather than them controlling her. Because human touch causes her to warp into another person's mind, she rarely ever reaches out or shows much physical body language to anyone anymore, which had taken a devastating toll on her personality and way of living pre-manifestation. But Annabelle is learning how to deal with the situation, rediscovering who she is and figuring out how to manage in this entirely new world.


If she found one thing in this school that would satisfy her the most, it would be a friend. Back at home in Maine where she grew up and had lived for her entire life, she has friends, and maintain friends with the closer few of them, although with her newfound abilities, she has a very hard time dealing with telling them what exactly has happened. Many of them believe she's gone into a form of depression post-accident, and have sort of distanced herself from them. Little do they know that she really has something else going on entirely.
I would really love for Bells to have at one to two best friends at Hammel, although be warned, it will take a bit of time and effort to crack her and really get to know her. As far as other friends go, that list is limitless. She has a huge heart and loves sharing it with others when they'll let her.


One thing Annabelle can't stand and never has been able to was boisterous, loud, and more importantly, rude people. She could handle talkative friendly individuals, but if they're always bragging or selling themselves all around the place, she definitely would have a bone to pick with them. Although she rarely gets mad, it can happen, and when it does, its definitely not a pretty sight. This quiet girl will show some fierce traits if pushed over the edge.


This is definitely a fragile subject. Relationships were cut short after her accident which had seemingly 'forced' her retrocognition out into the open. First dates were always awkward, and she would hesitate from holding hands or enjoying a kiss or two because she could not, and at this moment, still cannot control where her mind takes her. She finds much frustration in the event, and feels like she won't ever find the guy that won't push her away, or rather, run away from her because of this quirk. She longs for it, but finding love is much harder than she had ever thought before.

*lunges in* Laura Marling has such lovely songs.

Annabelle and Shade are both in the Self Defense Club, so they're doubtlessly going to meet. I think they'll both be friends, though not necessarily close. Shade will abhor the idea of retrocognition, but it will be a way to delve into her past, meaning Annabelle might be one of the only people to learn snippets of it. Either way, Shade tends to be quiet and she won't be mean in the club. Plus, if Annabelle is struggling with some basic self defense, Shade might help her out.

I think that your plot ideas could work quite well with Bells. They both seem a bit introverted, maybe one more than the other, but because of this, I find it hard to think they could seriously hate each other for anything unless seriously provoked. I've actually just replied to the thread in Not a Victim, and I look forward to plotting with Shade in the future. It would definitely be interesting if Anna ever accidentally touched Shade in any way, even with a slight brush of the hand. She is quite fixated on keeping a bit of distance from any physical contact from anyone, but in order for her to delve into Shade's past, she'd have to most likely become a lot more acquainted with her, because as of now, her visions only last as long as the contact is happening. Still, there is much promise for these two characters, I do believe.

Yay, I finally have someone Belle's age to plot with:

Isaac: He's my new, very geeky boy. He's 17, enthusiastic about just about everything, and I really want him to have a crush on someone way out of his league. He's good at being "the guy friend", but he wants to level up to "boyfriend" status. He's been around Hammel for three years, and he's very friendly, but really doesn't understand girls.

So, is Bells up for a pining crush?

Ashley could probably be a good mentor for Annebelle, since he knows what it’s like to not only be ignored, but to have killed people who used to be part of his everyday life. He also is in a depression of his own, which he is slowly working out of. These two could relate, but not in such a way that would bring them closer than friends.

I think that's such a cute idea. I can definitely see them as friends, especially since he's all geeky and she's pretty technologically deficient. Where it leads, nobody knows. I'd like to see how the work together before i promise her away to you, but don't get discouraged, it could definitely work out

Although Bells has yet to kill anyone, she would be interested in consoling him. Because they do have something in common, it will be much easier for her to relate to him than not. I am totally all right with it not getting any farther than friends, especially when that's exactly what she needs.

I'm not actually looking for a girlfriend for him, so no promises necessary. He wants one, but it's more fun for me when he's all awkward and trying to be cool and impress someone. Whether it works out depends on them. So, thread? I don't owe any posts right now, so I could start one.

Ashley is looking for more people to relate to, so I guess Anne and Ashley could get to know each other better than suggested. However, Ashley may be uncomfortable about getting to know girls again, since he stopped trying to fall in love ages ago. Their relationship can go as far as you would like; friends, best friends, anything.
