I wasn't sure wether or not I should post this under advertisement, but the description of the forum states is for other boards so if an admin decides is wrongly posted, I'm up for it being moved.
So to the point, does anyone know this online browser game?
Echo Bazaar
It's really awesome, if you haven't played it and you spend a fair time in the internet, I recommend it to you. Here's a review of the game by one of the best, or the best, online reviewers of online casual gaming, but I can make it short for you.
You're a citizen of an underground version of London, called Fallen London, and well, you have to make a life for yourself. You have four attributes: dangerous, persuasive, shadowy and watchful, and when you do certain actions (most of them, actually) you train a certain attribute and get better at it, which unlocks more stories and opportunities. At first it surely confusing (you start in jail), but after a couple of tries, you'll know the basics.
It has tons of background story which is let known to you piece by piece via the stories you unlock and/or finish an a sidebar on the right which shows random information about Fallen London's world.
Some fun stuff you might want to know: there are devils, and hell has an embassy in Fallen London. There is an empress that rules the city, but she's just a symbol and she's quite crazy. The real rulers of Fallen London are the Masters of the Bazaar, mysterious people men (or women?) who move the bazaar around the underground cities every other amount of years. There are other cities underground, don't know which. Some people still live on the surface, but some prefer the underground. Death is not permanent and 11% of the fallen-londoners do not own their own soul.
As a final note, the only really bad thing about this game, is that you need either a twitter or facebook account to play it, but since creating a twitter one is so easy, it's not that bad. Oh, and I wanna add that I'm just advertising this game because it's awesome and I love it, it's not like admin it or they're paying me to do this, this post it's out pure loooooove.
