"Umm. No." Ginny shook her head in reply to Zac's question, "I'm not." There had been times growing up when she had wished she could be -- some of the metas she had met through her father had the coolest abilities -- but she had long since accepted this fact. She was never going to have any interesting meta skills, but that didn't mean she couldn't be interesting in her own right.
"So what exactly do you do?" She was curious, but she didn't want him to think she was interested in him specifically; his ego was clearly big enough without her help.
She sighed and placed one hand over her face, shaking her head in disbelief that the boy would even joke about asking her out, through her father or otherwise. At least, he had better be joking; he couldn't possibly think she would actually be interested. Not if he was the least bit discerning. Of course, boys like Zac were, in her experience, generally immune to anything remotely resembling reality, particularly when that reality was at odds with their massive self-esteems. "Ugh, no, I am not free tomorrow night." She muttered after her father directed Zac's attention back her way. She was here to visit family, not date swell-headed boys, and even if she was willing to date someone over her family weekend she wasn't available for him. Not tomorrow night, not the next night. Not ever.
She quirked an eyebrow at the admission that he was unsatisfied with his dorm arrangements. "Wow, I'm impressed. Would have thought your roommates would be the ones complaining, not the other way around." She commented, rather unfairly seeing as she didn't know who his roommates were. They couldn't possibly be more annoying than Zac was, though. Could they? No, they couldn't be, that was a terrifying thought. "Are they not falling at your feet in worship or what?"
ooc: eek, I didn't mean to make everyone wait that long. apologies
