Starving for Company [Open!]

Going to the library had been a regular occurrence for Robbie, as unfortunate as that sounded. How had he managed to avoid the past two years without even stepping foot in this musty place? Now it was all he could do to kill his boredom. And the books he's read...they were boring!

He never checked out the books from the library so he never had to face the librarian who seemed to always be in his own world. So as he passed the counter, he ducked his head into his coat and walked out the library, darting to the main hall in hopes that someone might have returned from their holidays.

But no one was around.

He went to the lunch lady and asked for the special, which turned out to be sloppy joes and mashed potatoes. Messy, messy lunch but Robbie didn't actually mind anyway. So off he went to get a table and started on his lunch.

Not a minute later, he saw someone walk into the canteen and he perked up. Sitting straight and not caring if the person knew him or not, he waved the person over. "Hi!"

Wow, that was awkward. When you are a channeler between a ghost and a woman and the ghost requests to be with her for one last time, and the woman is butt naked before you can make it to the door it can make things a bit, well, weird. That was in town, but now she was back at school. Her holidays finished early so she was back at school, with an exaggerated amount if 0 people.

She had to eat, she hadn't since yesturday afternoon. Walking to the lucnhlady, she was hoping for something, maybe pasta or something, but got slop on a plate. Hmmm.. Yum? Sighing she gave the lady the most enthusiastic smile she could muster and walked into the cafeteria. Barely any of her friends were back yet, so she just decided to walk in. But then she head a Hi being called out and turned to see Robbie waving her over.

It wasn't like they were besties, but he is nice enough to talk too. She had known him since she started, so might as well sit with him then by herself. Smiling she then walked her and her tray over, put it on the table and sat in the seat next to him.

''Hey Robbie, how you going?''.

Squinting as the girl got closer, Robbie grinned as he realised why she looked familiar. They hadn't been super close the past few years but he never failed to say hi to her once or twice. She was a pretty girl and Robbie quite liked pretty girls. He was best friends with one so it made sense. He still wasn't entirely sure of her power. He knew she had told him once but Robbie's memory was for shit so he just hoped the power talk didn't happen. Or even if it did, he hoped she would be smart enough to let it slip.

"Hey Celia." He said, bumping his knee against hers. "It's going fine but I'm bored to death. I have not seen anyone around for days."

He was really cute, when a freshmen she had a secret crush on him. Like really, but that kinda passed. She said kinda. Looking to him she smiled a coy smile and felt him touch his knee to hers and she acted normal with it. It was then that she looked up and saw a kid, youngish and lost and he then hovered above the ground and few a wall. Okay, don't look at him Cess. You have convo with a hottie, don't blow it.

''Um yeah, me too. I mean haven't seen the living for ages. But now I know your here so things aren't that bad'', she said and then realized what she said. Accidental flirt much! Hopefully he wouldn't take that wrong, not think she is a slut or whatever.

''So yeah, you didn't go away for Christmas break?''.

Robbie knew when he was being flirted with despite being as dumb as a box of bolts. He knew the signs, he knew the body language and he knew the words. He'd used them way too many times already not to know when it was directed to him.

And his lunch companion was definitely flirting with him. And of course, who was he to not oblige? "Well if I knew you were here earlier, I wouldn't have been cooped up in my room the whole time."

"Um, no. I didn't want to." Robbie lied. Well, it wasn't a huge lie. It was just a safer answer than having to explain how his mother had told him the whole family was going to go away for a vacation over Christmas. He didn't need people feeling sorry for him.

When he commented back she smiled at him, biting the corner of her bottom lip. The best thing when your flirting to someone is for them to flirt back. She then felt herself blushing and looked down at her plate and then heard him say he didn't want to go away for Christmas vacation. Really? Really really? Who would want to stay at school during Christmas with like no one around. She just smiled at him. It was kind of sad actually.

''I only went back to the family for a few weeks, nothing big anyway. So, Robbie. Would you....... Um, would you like to do something with me later. Like after school maybe go into town?'', she asked hopeful. She liked him, he wasn't like other guys who walk passed and either whistle or smack her on the ass. He was nicer, and well cuter. So she smiled at him while behind him she saw a spirit walk up to someone and glare with black around their eyes and black lips, skin as white as snow. It laughed as the tray in the person hand flung and put sloppy joe all over them. Cess felt bad for them and the ghost was laughing, and then turned to Cess and saw that she is looking straight at him. He stopped laughing and glared at Cess with an evil smile, giving he a wave before someone walked passed Cess's view and he was gone. Creepy, but that was tomorrow's problem. She then turned her attention back to Robbie to here his answer.

The blunt question had Robbie widening his eyes. A girl was asking him out? Robbie had no idea what to do next. Sure, he had flirted with so many girls and sure, he had hoped some of them would take the bait and oblige him but none of the girls had ever asked him out. So yeah, he was stunned.

"Are you asking me out on a date, Cecilia?" Robbie asked dumbly.

He seemed so surprised. She had thought that Robbie, being hot and popular-ish she had thought he had been asked heaps of times. She hadn't heard of him being a major stud or man-whore or whatever but she did think he would have had a girl before. It actually would of been a possible response to him having a girlfriend but no, he was just surprised.

Asking if she was asking him out on a date she smiled and blushed looking down at the slop on her plate and then up to him. ''Um, yeah. If you want to that is'', she said and then let out a small giggle. But then she looked up and saw the ghost from before in the air looking down on her. She had to get rid of him and then felt the gust of wind rush over her. It was then that she heard a bark and then saw her dog run through the wall and jump and tackle the spirit. She found the dog up the street when she was tracking where Xander was and then he began to follow her and now he was her undead pet, like the one she had when she was younger. It was a big long hair labridoor and was cute and strong as the spirit was weakened and disappeared as her dog, Felix landed and then walked over to her. She smiled at it and then looked back to Robbie. It is amazing how much stuff happens and she is the only one their that can see it, and others think it is just a breeze. But Felix was a powerful spirit who could do things so she hoped he wouldn't embarrass her.

Robbie maintained his cool though inside he was just bursting with eagerness. Which wasn't good. It was not good at all. He reigned in his emotions, careful not to let any visibly show. He took deep breaths to calm himself down and gave her a semblance of a corner smile. There was a faraway look on her face as she turned her head a little as if she heard something.

He suddenly shivered but there wasn't a breeze. He pulled his hoodie closer to his body and gave her a nod. "Sure, why not? I'll wait for you at the entrance later at four? It's not like I have anything else to do today." He tactlessly said. "Although...I think I should be off. I've got a standing date with a certain computer virus." He grinned, although calling a friend a computer virus was really rude.

He took his last bite of the meaty goodness before waving to Cecilia. "Entrance at four, kay?" He held up four fingers before waving again to the girl. He skipped off to meet his friend.

A date. How glorious.

His eagerness, he little side smile was so cute. She smiled at him and was happy. She hadn't had a date for a while. Guys were usually turned off when they would see her around school or around town talking to herself, or when she would be attacked by a spirit and it would look as though she were having a fit. But now she was going to go out with a guy who seemed really interested in her and she really liked him. He told her; entrance at four. She couldn't wait. Smiling, she nodded.

''Sure, that will be great'', she said and then giggled as he said he had a date with a computer virus. She wasn't to sure what he really meant by that, but if it was a computer thing she had no idea. He took on last bite and took off reminding and waving. ''Yeah, I'll see you their''. She watched him walk off with a permanent smile plastered to her face. How cute was he? She then sighed and then took a bite of her burger. Hmm.. Wasn't to bad.

Then Felix walked up to her panting and she smiled at him, leaning down to him. Okay, she was aware she would look absolutely psycho but she began cute talking the doggie, which she did often.
''You are the cutest dog ever. And you are the best little ghost buster ever. So cute, yes, so cute'', she said to him as he sat and panted tongue hanging out and looking obedient. She wanted to pat him, but she hated seeing him getting hit by that bus. So she resisted. But looking up, she saw a bunch of girls looking at her like she was a freak. Feeling uncomfortable with a embarrased smile on her face she then walked away. She had class, and to think about what the night had to come.
