Lani figured it was time to wreak some havoc. It had been far too quiet around this place in the recent few weeks, at least for him. So what had this slippery telekinetic done? Well slipped in fireworks of course. It had taken a break from snowing and tonight Lani was planning on setting them off over the training fields to see how many people he could: a) freak out, b)piss off, and c) just see how many people would come and see them. Sure he could get into bucket loads of trouble but where was the fun in anything being safe. So bundled in several layers a knit hat and gloves Lani made his way out of the dorms and to the shadowed part at the edge of the wall where he had hidden his arsenal of loud firecrackers. He went out while there was still light in the sky to not arouse suspicion and decided to try his hand at his power out here where he was supposed to train. Coming to the conclusion that he was better at controlling big things than small he had an assortment of small balls, screws, and cards.
He also brought a blindfold. He was getting better and better at doing things without seeing them. So with a grin he settled himself on a bench and opened his bag and let the things spill out at his feet. Alright, he could get two or three things in the air and still control them. He tried to maneuver them around each other and ended up puncturing one of the balls and slicing a card with another card. He didn't know how much power he needed to move different things. Lighter things needed less power but how much less. He once used the same force to lift a pebble as he needed for a half-ton bolder and the thing had gone shooting off into god knows where but it had left a very nice bullet like hole in a tree. Oh well. He glanced up at the sun the light in front of his veiled eyes was getting darker. He took it off and stuck everything in his bag again and slunk off into the bushed to where his mischief lay in wait.
With a grin that wrote sly on his face Lani held the matches to the fuses. Then he stepped back holding the match with his power and launching the burning things into the air. He covered his ears as he let out a whoop as the first one went up and exploded in a flash of light and thunder. Then another and another. Memorizing the position Lani ran out onto the field in wonder as if he was just an innocent bystander. He lit another and another his face lit with the reds and blues and greens. Laughter colored his face even more and the idea that he might get away with this also lit a match of excitement in his brain. By now faculty was likely running around like chickens with their heads cut off and students were looking from their dorms in curious wonderment. Lani never liked to take life too seriously and he had been taking it extremely seriously these past few months and it was time he started being himself again.
