"What a dreadfully lazy afternoon," The brunette teenager mumbled from her spot on the itchy yellow-green grass of the field. She had flopped down on it a while ago, completely uncaring as to who was passing by. At first, November had taken to watching the blotches of clouds pass by in the lingering wind, but her eyelids soon fell heavy and closed. Not asleep, but rather begrudgingly tired all of the sudden, she let out a long sigh. Offhandedly, she listened over the conversation two younger students were having in the grass a few feet away, the smell of food was present even from her position - a picnic? It was still rather chilly for a picnic, but whatever floated their boat, she supposed. They were going back and forth about one of the teachers, she hadn't caught who, and how they had been so terribly pissy during class, snapping at the students continuously throughout the period. A bit of a smirk tweaked on the corners of her lips, and she thought that maybe the students had done something to put the teacher in such a mood.
November crossed her arms behind her head, propping her neck away from the itchy grass that poked at her pale skin ruthlessly. Her hair whipped in her face as the cool wind stirred the trees and air around them. Another sigh escaped her lips, a lack of anything to do. Classes were done, dinner wasn't for another hour or so. The dorm got boring, quickly and she didn't really feel like driving down to the town. The picnic-goers voices were beginning to get annoying, but Ember kept her mouth shut, idly wondering if they even knew she was over there. Dead leaves left from winter brushed around, the ticks from her pocket watch were heard. Momentarily she considered going for a run, then dismissed the thought as it would actually take effort.
Ember scrunched her nose up in frustration - sometimes she considered just completely fast-forwarding time when she was bored like this. But then she'd miss too much.
