[Emma Cousins]

Sure, Emma was hard work in some respects. She was a wild child, from her skydiving, bungee jumping and motorbike. She also knew Nykki worried about her, even with her powers, and everything. She'd tried her best to reassure her, but the older blonde just seemed to have a natural concern. But at least she cared, and that made Emma have small butterflies in her chest. The relationship only seemed to go from strength to strength, and as Emma took Nykki's hand and walked with the receptionist across the courtyard and out towards a secluded area the students left alone, she rested her cheek to her shoulder and felt a big grin flash on her face.

"I'd love to meet them, really. If they're anything like you, then they'll be amazing." Emma laughed and disappeared into the cover of the trees, lying down on her back on the grass. "So, I actually wanted to talk to you a bit more about Dad and Lou." The girl tugged Nykki down into the grass beside her, then cupped her cheek and kissed her deeply. "So, my Dad's called Antony, and he's kinda nerdy. You've seen the pictures, right? He loves baking bread and we always have fantastic barbeques with homemade rubs and sauces, huge bowls of salad." Emma beamed and closed her eyes, imagining the sights and smells of the converted windmill. "Lou tries to bake cookies, sometimes she's pretty good, but you have to leave her alone else she messes up and gets upset." The blonde looked over at Nykki with a shrug. "You any good at baking?"

Rolling over and lying on top of the receptionist with a big grin, Emma leant over and kissed the woman again, holding her cheek. "Hey, you know tonight? I just remembered I bought a few DVDs and some butterscotch cupcakes yesterday, they should still be good, right?" She asked, tilting her head and swatting an ant from Nykki's shoulder. "That way we can have some dessert!" The girl laughed and waggled her eyebrows, kissing down over the receptionist's neck. "Dinner, dessert, then dessert again!"

Nykki knew that sometimes she worried too much, but she had grown so fond of Emma that the thought of losing her was terrifying. She had lost her father, nearly lost her sister, and she couldn't take losing her girlfriend too. Fortunately, Emma didn't usually get too bothered by Nytro's constant worrying. There were few concerns currently in the mind of the receptionist, as their retreat to a secluded area settled her.

"They're both nicer than I am." She said while laughing softly. Settling down in the grass with Emma, she ran her fingertips over the girl's cheek, brushing her hair behind her ear. She listened calmly to Emma talk about her father and sister, toppling backwards as the blonde rolled over top of her. "They sound lovely. I can't wait to meet them." Her arms wound around the smaller girl's waist, Nykohl closed her eyes and relaxed.

Stroking her fingers up and down Emma's back, she sighed happily. This was nice, just laying here with her girlfriend, no one pissing her off or scaring her. "I'm okay as long as I have a recipe. Else I'm completely lost." She opened one eye to look down at Emma, only to tip her head back as she felt the girl's lips on her neck. "Save that dessert for when we're home, Em." Nykki smiled warmly, giving a gentle tug to a lock of Emma's hair.

Emma had only ever lost her mother, and thanks to that, she hated driving in icy weather. That and a mistrust of jeeps, land rovers and any other majorly large vehicles. However, it rarely stopped her from living life the way she wanted it to, unlike poor Nykki, who seemed like something had effected her deeply. The skinny blonde never pushed or pried. She knew in time she'd find out, and she'd be happy to wait till Nykohl was ready to talk.

Stifling a yawn, Emma grinned. "They're pretty eager to meet you too. I think they wanna give you a medal for getting me to settle down finally." The girl chuckled, and touched Nykki's cheek, tucking some hair behind her ear. "Verax is probably gonna call me hooker till the day I die though." Wrinkling her nose, the girl swatted at a mosquito buzzing nearby. "But I can cope, as long as I've got you."

Pulling back from Nykki's neck, Emma laughed. "Alright fine." Resting her head in Nykki's breasts, the younger girl let out a soft sigh and let the summer warmth wash over her. "Hey, can we just stay here? I don't want to move anymore." Ignoring the occasional shrieks of the younger teenagers, she settled down happily, letting the sunshine hit her shoulders. "Some other dick can answer the phone, we'll just lie here and snuggle."

The incident had deeply scarred Nykohl. It had turned her from a happy teenager with the whole world in front of her to a scared, acidic bitch who hated leaving the relative safety of her home. Emma had once remarked on the fact that she had three deadbolts on every door of her house that lead outside and Nykki had brushed off with the saying that they'd been there when she bought the place. (Untrue, but she didn't want Emma to know just how afraid she was.)

"Yeah, I'm still wondering how I managed to do that." Really, from all the things she'd heard about Emma's sex life, Nykohl was shocked that she was willing to settle down into a steady relationship... and with her of all people. Nyk closed her eyes and released a soft breath when Emma rested against her. Lifting her hand, she began trailing her fingers lethargically through the blonde girl's hair. Her offer was very tempting and she was quiet for a few minutes as she contemplated doing just that.

Unfortunately, she knew she had to decline. Claude might excuse her behaviour (or just overlook it) but he certainly wouldn't excuse her bailing out in the middle of the day. "I can't. I'd love to just stay here with you, but I have to get back to work." She lifted her head and looked down at Emma. "Don't pout. I'll see you tonight." Propping herself up on one arm, she cupped the girl's cheek in her hand, then leaned in to kiss her gently.

Emma knew there was something behind Nykki's reactions to things. I mean, who carried a whole bottle of mace in their purse, really? But the girl never pressed her, there was all the time in the world for that, and she didn't need to know right now.

"Alright, fine." The teleporter said with a sigh, kissing Nykki back and sitting in her lap. "I guess I'll see you later then?" On queue, the bell rang, and the skinny blonde yawned and stretched, getting up. "I thiiiink I have English now. With Verax, so I'd better get there so I can force him to actually work. Lazy shit." She said, grumbling. Pushing her hair back and helping the receptionist to her feet, the girl started walked off towards the classroom.

"Later gorgeous." The girl called, blowing a kiss and winking, before disappearing out of sight, leaving nothing behind but a slight damp patch on Nykki's shirt.
