Usually irritable, rarely friendly and generally judgmental, Cobalt is a 47 year old lawyer in Pilot Ridge. The shadow manipulator is slow to make friends, quick to argue, but is a loyal friend if you have the patience for all his nonsense.
Cobalt doesn’t make friends very well. He tends to jump to conclusions about people and Hasty Judgments might as well be his middle name. If he decides he doesn’t like you, then there isn’t a whole lot to change his mind, and he doesn’t try very hard to keep it a secret. However, if you are patient, clueless, or forgiving enough to work around (or ignore) all his irritability, he is a fiercely loyal friend who will do just about anything for you.
Enemies are something Cobalt makes very easily. He’s argumentative, rude, judgmental and finds it far easier to fight than to compromise sometimes. If you come across as condescending, patronizing, or just annoying, he will probably not like you and will have little trouble showing it. Of course, he may just…decide he doesn’t like you. For no reason. Once he decides this, it’s very hard to convince him otherwise. He doesn’t like being social, as he still doesn’t quite know what to do in those situations. But he’s trying to be better.
Somehow, Cobalt ended up with a boyfriend: Benjamin Rhodes. He's very shocked about this development and also very happy with him. So that is sort of the end with that.
Estelle is a sweet, loving 17 year old metallikinetic with a big heart and some family troubles. She's in COLLEGE now (U of Vermont) and just wants to make friends and do well in classes. She’s also a “secret” sci-fi/fantasy dork, so if you want someone to talk to you about Lord of the Rings, she’s your girl
All Estelle wants in life is a group of friends. Boys, girls, older, younger… she doesn’t care. She’s a welcoming, if a little dorky girl who will forgive anyone of anything. She isn’t especially tomboy or girly-girl, but is just as fine rolling around in the dirt as she is painting nails and braiding hair. She knows gymnastics and aikido and is also looking for a workout buddy!
Estelle doesn’t go out of her way to make enemies, but sometimes it happens. Some think her dorkiness is obnoxious. Some people think she’s nosy. Some people think she’s just boring. If she knows you don’t like her, she will mostly just stay out of your way
Estelle is currently dating Henry Ballo and thinks he is just the cutest thing. She is very happy with this situation and can't think of a single thing that would make her feel differently.
Janice is a take-no-prisoners, slightly rowdy lawyer who works in Pilot Ridge. The polar opposite of her mild-mannered older brother Riley, Janice is loud, says what she what she wants, and doesn't quite care who gets offended. She loves to laugh and loves to fight and most of all loves her big brother.
Janice needs some friends with thick skin who aren't afraid to get in a little trouble now and then. Of course, she also needs some friends who are reasonable enough to pull her out of the fire sometimes. Whatever friends she has she will be loyal to until the end. And they will never be bored.
It's probably not that hard for Janice to make enemies. She can be obnoxious, loud, brash and a little crude. She isn't very tactful and although she never means to be cruel, it happens. And if you disagree with her, she will not rest until she has proven you wrong. Or punched your face, depending on how grave your transgressions. She delights in arguments, so bring it on
Janice isn't very much the dating type. She's a little suspicious of just about everyone, but especially men. Besides, feelings are messy and she would be far happier just meddling in her brother's affairs instead of having her own. But anyone who wanted to try is welcome! Maybe she just needs someone to sweep her off her feet.
This is Jack Maguire! He is a forty year old empath who teaches English (poetry) at Hammel Institute. He is mellow, quiet and patient. He runs late office hours for after-school tutoring or if someone just needs a listening ear.
Jack likes people! Sometimes he is hard to get to know because he is so quiet and generally passive. He isn't shy, though. Just low-key. He is a great listener and is willing to go along with mostly anything (within reason, of course).[/size]
It is sort of hard to make an enemy of Jack. Most people probably forget he exists. He can seem sort of boring to someone who is looking for a more active person in general. He cares very deeply about his friends, his school, and his students. Obviously if any of those came under fire, he would be understandably protective and angry, but that is another thing altogether.
Hilariously, Jack is the only one of my characters who is looking for a relationship. He just doesn't want to get into anyone's pants. Because he's asexual, he doesn't really have any of those urges. But as a biromantic, he likes kissing both men and women. He would really like a cuddlehusband or a cuddlewife, those are just sort of hard to find![/size][/right]

HEY THERE my name is Kayla (Kayladid on chatango) I have four characters on Hammel and one on another site plus mod responsibilities on that site. Therefore sometimes I get really behind on threads! But be patient with me! I haven't forgotten you--I usually even keep a list of threads. Some just take a little longer than others.
I have a post order I try to adhere to as much as possible unless there is a volley happening. I am not gonna lie and say that I post most with Cobalt, which I think everyone has noticed, but I am always active with my other characters. I am open to a lot of plots of pretty much any nature!
