General Appearance: Karashi looks very delicate, but in all reality she actually is very strong. She just appears fragile and not able to fight. She has long light brown hair, down past her shoulders. Her skin is very fair, with few flaws in it. Her lips are a soft pink, and her eyes are dark brown. She stands at about 5’3, which is considered medium height. When she wears heels, which isn’t all that often, she stands about 5’5. She is very petite, but tall for her age and stature. She never wants to cut her hair.
Karashi usually wears regular everyday clothes. When she goes somewhere nice, she’ll wear a nice dress, but that’s only on rare occasions. For her days at the Institute, she wears casual stuff, such as jeans and a t-shirt and maybe a hoodie over it. She really doesn’t like wearing too many layers, but in the winter she loves layers. She hates any kind of dress unless it’s a rare occasion like mentioned before. She doesn’t like tacky clothes, but she will wear mismatched socks, just to be a little different, even if no one can tell. She tends to wear at least one odd thing, if not more, but she doesn’t like to show it off. If she has something on odd, it’s usually hidden.
Personality:Karashi comes off to others as shy and timid at first. She shies away when others try to touch her, and usually watches their body language to see what they’ll do next. Karashi laughed with her friends. She always told jokes with them, hung out with them, etc. She was considered the ‘fun’ one in her little clique at her old school. They all turned to her for advice. She is good at giving advice, but in an emergency situation, she has no idea what to do. Considering what has happened to her, one would expect her to lash out at the world and be angry at it. But she thinks just the opposite. She figures that if she acts nice towards others, then she will avoid getting hurt. She is also very understanding towards people who need it, and is a great listener.
Karashi is very insecure, and always worries about what others think of her. She always acts confident in order to hide her insecurity. Compared to other people, she thinks that she isn’t smart. Considering that she is from Japan, she is stereotyped for being smart, but she struggles with it since she has ADD, or Attention Deficit Disorder. This sometimes affects the relationships she can have on other people by pushing or chasing them away. For example, she worries about what a person thinks of her, and ends up ignoring them, thus annoying them and making them leave. She can be stubborn, which might also interfere with friendships and relationships. She has a temper, but it is rarely shown. When it is shown, you had better watch out. A lot of people know her as the “Innocent Nightmare”. People spread that around because of her temper, and it just stuck.

History
Karashi used to live in Japan. She lived with her parents there for a while. She was a happy child. She had everything she ever wanted. A nice family, a great house, and food. She was very happy. Everything was great in her life, until about the age of nine. The day after her ninth birthday, things started to go downhill. When she was in bed at night, she would hear her parents arguing, and it always ended up in tears or in silence, neither of which she liked. She always asked what was wrong, and if there was anything that she could do to help, but she always got the same answer: No, there was nothing she could do to help.
As the months progressed, the fighting only got worse. In the end, her mother ended up filing for divorce, and her father left. Karashi loved both of her parents, and she didn’t want to see them fight with each other. She didn’t get why her mother and father had fought, but neither of them would tell her the reason why they had been fighting. She just wanted to help, but all her mother would tell her was to leave her alone. She did as she was told, and left her mother alone. As the days passed, she noticed that her mother wasn’t paying any attention to her. She tried to get attention, but it always ended up in her mother getting angry or her mother going into her room and shutting the door. Karashi’s aunt noticed that her mother was neglecting her, so she decided to take her in, just to help her mother out a little bit. Karashi’s mother agreed and Karashi went to live with her aunt.
She lived with her aunt for about four years, before she found her power at the age of thirteen. She has telekinesis, although she has no idea how she got it. She has always believed in the supernatural, and people having powers, and one day she decided to see if it was true by moving a book off of her desk at home. She succeeded, and it scared her. Her aunt learned this, and was completely fine with it due to the fact that she was a meta herself years ago. Within two days of knowing about her power, Karashi was recruited and put into the Japanese institute known as Eisai gakkō. She was there for a good two years.
Karashi wanted to go to another country, and asked her aunt if she could. Her aunt agreed, so she set up an agreement with some of her friends in the U.S. known as the Yukaris, and Karashi was sent there. The Yukaris lived in the town of Pilot Ridge, and knew about the Hammel Institute since they had been metas as well, so a transfer was made. The parents she was sent to were Ayami and Kyoto Yukari. They were Japanese like her, but they had been living in the U.S. for about ten years. They had a son named Saiki, whom Karashi came to adore, but he went away to college, so she rarely got to see him. About three months later, the Yukari family ended up adopting Karashi with the permission of her aunt and her mother, seeing as her mother knew she couldn't take care of Karashi anymore. Karashi was glad that she was adopted. She now attends the American Institute, learning the American ways and their culture.
Roleplay Example
Karashi heard a rucus and frowned. She wondered what was going on, and if people were fighting. She hated any violence of any kind, and she knew for a fact that if there was a fight on school grounds, then the fighters would get suspension, minimum if that. She knew that she needed to stop it, so that the students could go on with their lives and not get into trouble.
She broke into a run, turning down one hallway away from the cafeteria. No matter what, she knew that she had to get to the students, even if it meant her passing out right on the spot. She finally got to one of the dorms where she had heard the noise coming from, and finally saw them, seeing them fighting. "Stop it!" She held her hands out, her eyes glowing blue. A bubble of water hung over them, which had come from the water fountain. She glared at the both of them.
