Matt here is a relatively cool individual -- he likes having fun and hanging with his friends, and is prone to crazy antics as many hot-blooded males his age are, and he likes documenting it all on film; specifically Polaroids (I like slapping images onto Polaroids in photoshop). He also has a penchant for making obscure pop-culture references, and he lives his life as if it were a movie, in which case his movie just finished the introduction phase, and now he's into the real, good substance. Of course, those involved in his life end up being important leading roles and co-stars. He is on the swim team, in the art club, and apart of the Student Activities Council

Matt, being the amiable he is, would have a lot of these. He is outgoing enough to never be boring, and reserved enough not to be obnoxious, making for a well-rounded individual, and someone easy to get along with. He is also good at reading people, and has a very adaptable personality, allowing him to connect with many personality types. His extra curricular activity choices also open up a lot of possibilities for him.

While Matt is capable of getting along with a lot of people, realistically, there are just some people he either can't tolerate, and thus won't put in the effort to be friends with. And those that take it that extra step to irritate him or make him angry will see his less attractive side. Of course, sometimes being mean is attractive, but that's beside the point; the point is, every good character needs their enemies, and Matt is no exception! If he is to gro as a person, he needs to dislike and be disliked in return; hate and be hated alike. What's more fun that hostile tension between two characters? Hostile tension between two super-powered characters.
lovers
complications complications complications complications complications
I am of the frame of mind that "love" and intimate relationships are among the greatest catalysts for complications in any story. On that note, Matt, I think, would be excellent in that department. When he falls in love, he falls hard. Of course, he isn't the creepy sort of stalker kind of love interest -- more the "this is a romantic comedy and so everything has to be great to the point of cliche" sort of lover. He is, without a doubt, among a dying breed: die-hard romantics. And of course, if that relationship should prove a negative influence on him, or he gets his heart broken, or does any of that to someone else -- well, just more fun for us, right? And of course there would be drama in abundance.
With an active personality like Matt's (and my personal investment into making sure his life is utter chaos) he should never be without some level of insanity going on in his life. So, without further adieu, let's plot!!!
