Okay, I stole this from a different website, but it's a serious curiousity that I need sated. Why did you name your character what you did?

Elva; It means Elvish and it just fit her. Nothing special really

Raoul Carter (RC) Manne

I'll go backwards on this one: I chose the last name Manne for the entire family because they Mannes are meant to be down to earth and just...well human. They're ordinary people, despite extraordinary circumstances. Carter is just a lovely name and Raoul (From Phantom of the Opera) is a character who reminds me a lot of what RC stands for: Romantic, Chivalrous, and upstanding, if not a little derpy. xD

Fiona "Fifi" Lynette Hart

Well this one I'll go in order: I picked Fifi out before anything else, and actually she was originally going to be DeeDee and named Dinah. However, I opted for the most disgusted, girlified name I could find. XD So Fifi it was. Fiona came along with that, and I only found later that it fit, meaning "pale." The other names are chosen arbitrarily.

Marisol and Lamora Degreas (Lala and Reese)

Though the Twins are of Brazilian origin, their names actually come from my spanish background. Marisol breaks down into "Mar y Sol" or "Ocean and Sun." I picked it for Reese because it most embodies her other-worldly nature: Constant like the sun, yet changing like the ocean. Both violent and benevolent, ect. Lamora on the other hand, means two things. "Beloved One" from Romantic languages, and a derivitive of "Moor" from Spanish...indicative of her dark skin. The Degreas surname was plucked out for convenience sake...in both Portuguese and Spanish it means "Degrees"

Cobalt Joseph Weaver[/i]

Oddly, about 1/3 of this name is not mine. And it's the most important part D: When Lynx (the lady above me) was trying to get me to join Hammel, she suggested that I could use Jackie Earle Haley as a playby and I was sold >.> Only, I needed a name. She suggested Cobalt. To which I said "Ew that is the ugliest name on the planet." And... the more I thought about it, the more I decided it wasn't. So as usual, wifey was correct. XD And to offset the name that is fairly rare, I chose to give him a common middle name, hence Joseph. It is my headcanon that it is his father's name and oddly enough, it also happens to be the middle name of Rorschach from Watchmen which I didn't actually do on purpose (I don't expect you to believe me XPP). Weaver was a result of a random last name generator because I am lazy. XD

Estelle Rose Flores[/i]

Estelle is actually from another story wherein she is a superhero. She is also the last of that cast to get a name >.> I chose Estelle because it is a real-world version of an Elvish (as in Lord of the Rings) word "Estel" which means "Hope". It's also the given Elvish name for Aragorn. I am also a huge nerd. Rose was arbitrary as was Flores, but I could lie and say that Rose and Flores were meant to be clever because of the flower theme. But that is a lie. XD

Jean William Manne[/i]

This little guy was a request for Lynx to be a brother for RC Manne, but I can explain why his name is the way he is. You already know the reasons behind his last name, Manne. The name Jean is from Les Miserables, which I have never seen, so I don't know if the name is meant to fit as it does with RC. William was arbitrary and it sounded good. XD

Charlie Andrew Davis[/i]

Charlie also began life as another character named Andrew Halper who was a biology professor and friends with a zombie who may or may not have been the precursor to Cobalt >.> The point of this character was to be as unassuming, sweet, and normal as possible. Hence, I chose the name Charlie as very user-friendly, nonthreatening name. I didn't use his original name because I knew too many Andrews. So Andrew was relegated to middle name status as a nod to his origins and because it is another fairly common, unassuming name. I decided to change the last name from Halper to Davis mostly to prevent confusion on my part and because Halper is a Jewish name which I picked for a very specific reason that didn't make sense on Hammel. So I changed it to Davis because of (1) the college I lived near and (2) it came up in a list of the Top 100 Most Common Surnames since 1950. As I said, Charlie was meant to have a cutesy, almost aggressively unassuming name. ^_^

[Willow Kovacs]

Ohh! I've always wanted to explain this!

Willow Kovacs:

Willow: is a gorgeous name, I've always loved it, ever since I first watched Buffy. Willow's parents are hippies and therefore named their children sort of... "earthy" names? That's the only way I can think to describe it.

Kovacs: ... So, has anyone else here read Watchmen? Walter Kovacs is the true name of Rorschach, my personal favourite character from those comics (I have this weird thing for fictional sociopaths).

Funfact!: Kovacs is the only last name that I've used that isn't pertaining to one of my favoured authors.

Oliver Wells:

Oliver: Jesus, I love this name. It's cute, it's easy to remember, it's not particularly fascinating. And it's also part of the title of the first play I ever performed in - Oliver Twist.

Wells: Uh. H.G. Wells. One of my favourite authors. I read The Invisible Man at a young age and fell in love with his fascinating style and intriguing characters.

November Adams:

November: I met a girl once named February. She was born in August, so it didn't make much sense to me. In any case, the name November is unusual, and reminds me of the time of year that Emby's personality matches - rather neutral really.

Adams: Douglas Adams, another favoured author. Most notable for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. Can you tell I enjoy Science Fiction yet?

Jude Wilde:

Jude: Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song, and make it better. Remember, to let her into your heart. Then you can start, to make it better. (Need I say more?)

Wilde: Oscar Wilde. My one true love. His plays, and of course his novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, have influence many of my characters and many of the types of literature I like today.

[Dr. Sean Neville]

Sean Patrick Neville

My explanation of this is needlessly complicated, because almost every single one of my characters (everywhere) have needlessly complicated name origins. Naming characters has taken longer than writing an entire origin story. This is most likely why I enjoy playing canons in fandom games.

I like to hear how the names sound aloud before I approve anything, and syllable count is important for that. As a result, all aspects of Sean's name have been readjusted for syllables as well, but there's no reason to say that three times.

Sean

There were a number of factors that led to me choosing Sean. He needed to have a name that would have been acceptable in the 1950s. He needed to have a name that fit with his heritage. He needed to have a name that wouldn't have been too common but also wouldn't have stuck out. I wanted a name that wouldn't lend itself to typical nicknames (like Mike, Jim, or Steve). I also like to look at meanings and Sean, as a traditional name, means both "God is gracious", fitting for his childhood and ironic in his later life, and has a diminutive meaning of "wise" which worked for the character concept.

Patrick

Sean was raised Irish Catholic, and his parents wanted to name him after Saint Patrick in some way. Doing so as a first name was too obvious and they didn't like how it sounded as a first name. I didn't want him to have a namesake for his first name, but it was fitting as a middle name.


Neville

I wanted him to have an surname that was identifiably Irish but wasn't the typical Irish surname, unlike his brother-in-law. Neville fit that bill nicely, and it sounds good to with his first name, since the "n" sound blends. While he wasn't named after anyone, I'm sure that subconsciously the protagonist in I Am Legend made the name occur to me as a possibility.

[Dr. James Campbell]

(I moved this from Games to General Discussion because it is less game and more analysis.)

This could take a while, as I might go into not just characters I play, but other characters I have named.

James Emrys Campbell
There was no reason why I picked this name. I wanted him to have a slightly odd middle name so his best friend would have something mild to tease him about and I wanted him to be New York Irish-Catholic, so Campbell worked. Later I learned that in French, Campbell translates to crooked mouth, which was appropriate for someone who smirked as much as he did in his original form.

Elijah "Eli" Thomas Morrison
This one takes on a lot more significance. I have a love affair with Biblical and Hebrew names, so expect more of them.

Elijah- I wanted a name that was easily abbreviated because Eli has always rejected his name. His mother was neglected and abandoned him, and so he uses his nickname exclusively, as only his mother called him Elijah. (One of the reasons he dislikes Willow is that she called him Elijah after he told her not to.

Thomas- This is the first name of his father. He never met the man, and he never knew anything about him. Again, something he rejects.

Morrison- It was going to be Harrison, but then I got decided I wasn't going to go with a Beatle name with the playby, so my mind jumped to Morrison. It is also the last name of his stepfather, and he has been considering changing it.

Oberon Nathaniel Sparks
In his original form, he was a muggle accountant on a Harry Potter site. So I went with the most tricked-out, romance novel name I could come up with. Something fantastic for the normal, average man who considers himself boring. (His fiance was a witch, and he had no other contact the with the supernatural until he was turned into a werewolf.)

Levi Jun Xu
His name used to be Jacob Zi, but Rae took the name Jake, so I had to go with something else. For the record, the pronunciation is "Lev-ee Jun Shu"

Levi- Once again, a Hebrew name. Levi is actually Jewish; his mother converted when she was young and because she wanted to raise them in the Jewish faith, his father carried that on when his mother died.

Jun- Means handsome in Chinese. It had significance when I picked it out originally, but not any more.

Xu- A very common Chinese surname. Not much else to it, other than it being hard to pronounce, and I like torturing my characters with little things.

Conrad David Manne
I didn't name him. I just picked David since it seemed to flow well.

Paulo Angel Ortiz
Paulo- No interesting story there. I just like the way it went with the rest of his name.

Angel- Originally going to be his first name, then I decided to was too obnoxious to name my baddie Angel, so it got bumped.

Ortiz- I swear to God, it's the last name of one of my former bosses, and I was pissed at him when I made this character.

Isaac Tilford
Isaac- Once again, Hebrew name. I just like the way they sound.

Scott- Works with the rest.

Tilford- Blatent stealing from Mads. She had a character named Roman Tilford who was a major geek. I liked the name, so I swiped it. We later decided they were cousins.

Other Characters I've Named:
Ginny Campbell- My concept for the original form of James was "know-it-all, divorced father of a teenage daughter." So Ginny has always been in my mind when I wrote him. I needed a name for the girl James doted on when I was writing his first application, and I had a Harry Potter book sitting on my bedside table.

Rose McGovern- She's named after Rose Tyler from Doctor Who. No, really. Originally, she was going to be the unseen fiance to Oberon, who he abandons when he's turned into a werewolf. He saw her as the woman he could never have again, because she belonged to a different world, now. McGovern came from my roommate talking on the phone while I was writing, and saying he'd meet his friends at McGovern's in a half-hour. It's a bar near my campus.

[Clarity Ryder]

Clarity Serenity Ryder

This one is so simple. xD

Clarity: I've always loved this name, ever since I was a little tot. It means many things, most meaning being able to see clearly through items/situations/stuff like that. I wanted to use it as a metaphor through her Rping life: "Achieving Clarity". CX

Serenity: Have you ever listened to "Big girls don't cry" by Fergie? There's this part that nobody really listens to that says "Clarity, peace, serenity." And I really like the word Serenity. It's got such a nice meaning, don't you think? The Serene.

Ryder: I needed a last name, and I just so happen to love Serena Ryder. [Look up Little Bit Of Red, All For Love, or Good Morning Starshine. You'll like her, too.]

[Ann Hudgins]

Ann Celina Hudgins[/u]

Maybe not all of you know, but Ann was with me at a site of my own. She was also an empath (though she changed to fit the Hammelverse) Anyway, her name was originally Annroth which was a weird version of my own name (Annaruth) that my best friend's mom called me for a while. When I got here, I decided Annroth was just too weird and shortened it to Ann.

Celina was really a named pulled out of a hat. I had just wanted a 'C' name to go along with the fact that both of her parent's names start with 'C'. So no special meaning there.

Hudgins was a bit of a tricky name to pick, but I decided the stresses on the first and second syllables worked great with 'Ann'. So there we go. Campbell was another name that I had tried in my head, but upon coming here and seeing that name was already taken, Hudgins won out.

Darryl Stephen Bond

Darryl was created and molded after two friends of mine; Adam and Stephen. Both of them, if squished together, would make Darryl. He got his name from help from the C-box. I think Mads was the final vote between Darryl or Derrick. I had wanted him to have a D name because of the sort of finality you get when saying it and because D stands for Dramatic.

So I already mentioned my friend Stephen, and you can probably just guess why that is his middle name. Stephen is definitely more like him by himself, so that's where that came from.

Bond. Well we all know James Bond.....aaaand it just so happens my girlyman friend Stephen's last name. So yeah. Bond it is.

Eric Liam Bower[/u]

I had this new character that I wanted to make, who could manipulate trees. Chez was helpful enough to provide this name and it fit rather well, so it stuck. Blame her.

Khalua Shelby Caraway

When I made Kali and her beautiful family, I had decided right out that they were all named after alcohol. So therein came Khalua. While I made the rest of her profile, she decided she wanted to go by a nickname, Kali. There we go, right?

Shelby was a good friend of mine in school. She was the type that did not give a hell what everyone else thought and did whatever the dang she wanted to do. So it was only natural that Kali got a piece of this friend in her name.

Caraway.....I had decided that the family's would be rich, but not ridiculously so. I'm from the South and all my characters also are because you are supposed to write about what you know. Anyway, for them to be rich I decided they needed to have some Blue blood, and you can't really get more hoity toity than Caraway.

William Michael Collins

I had the idea for a precognitive character for months before I actually started entertaining the idea of fleshing him out to actually make him. When it came to picking a play by, I picked Ewan McGregor because he is HAWT. And his personality seemed to match Bill's pretty well during the creation process. It was really a last minute decision to make him Scottish (mainly because that accent is SEXY and I was reading a book at the time that had one in it).

So I picked Collins as a last name and then his first and middle names just kinda decided for themselves.

Aiden was named randomly in the C-box, because Ann needed a best friend.

Blair was named with help from Mandi, who was there when the vast majority of Bill came together.

[Arlo Pecatti]

I decided to do this as well, although I feel like making another character still (even though I'm hardly ever online at the moment.. >.<) so I may need to update this late.

Arlo Xiomar Pecatti

Arlo: I originally chose the name to go with a family I made on another site which has since closed down. All the names were Italian names which meant something in English (as in they had a translation in English and weren't solely Italian names). Arlo can mean several different names but I usually get Arlo to say it means Charlie in English. One of it's many meanings though is 'eagle' and he eventually breaks free of everything his parents want for him and becomes what he wants, essentially gaining freedom to spread his wings and such. So that's where the Arlo part came from.

Xiomar: I was going to have his middle name as Omar which is along the lines of "long lived" or "flourishing" which I thought could be amusing as such given that he has an immune deficiency meaning he is generally ill. However, I didn't think 'Arlo Omar' sounded right because it sounded like there was too many O's next to each other so I looked for variants and such of the name. I came across 'Xiomar' and as Xi is the eleventh Roman numeral, Arlo is Italian (link to Roman numerals) and he would be eleven when he started at Hammel, I thought Xiomar could work. He never had a middle name on the previous site, he was just Arlo, but as this site insists on middle names, I had to invent one for him.

Pecatti: This name actually means 'evil' or 'sin' in Italian and it wasn't actually chosen to fit Arlo. It was chosen for the parents of the family but of course the children still have the same name. His father is technically a part of something similar to the mafia so therefore the name is linked more to that. I just kept the name for this site because it was what I was used to him being called.

[Leila Gold]

I feel a bit strange writing this up, since three of my four characters are requests, but I will give you what information I can.

Leila Beth Gold

My one completely original character. I decided on her last name first, and this requires a bit of information. See, Lynx up there was trying to get Kayla and me to join Hammel at the same time. I wanted to join but had to come up with a way to convince Kayla there. We decided to have our characters work together, and in order to make the deal even better, I promised to let them work at the Blue and Gold Law Firm. It had to be Blue and Gold because of an obscure comic book reference to the Blue Beetle (who Kayla loves) and Booster Gold (who Kayla also loves in reference to the Blue Beetle). I let her take the "Blue" portion of the name, especially since her character was the senior officer and should be listed first, and I took "Gold" for my character's surname. The name "Leila" actually just popped into my head, and I still believe that the character named herself. I chose her middle name for the initial "B" so that I could have her name be "Leila B. Gold," as in she's as good as gold. I just like the name Beth better than the other B names I could think of at the time.

Athena

...Wait, Leila's dog gets a mention? Yes, because she is a character too. Woof. She is named after Leila's (and my) favorite goddess. Also because she sprang out of my head fully formed. No, she can't turn into an owl. She's just a dog. Don't be dumb.

Elaine Kim Tonaya

This was a request from Lynx, so you may ask her about the "Elaine" part of the name, though I think it will be something on the order of "it sounded like a good 'Mom' name." When she talks about Morgan I'm sure she'll mention the "Tonaya" bit, too. The only part of the name I chose was "Kim," and that was because I'm picky about syllables. She had a two-syllable name and a three-syllable name, so she needed a one-syllable name to make it all sound nice. Kim was the first name that came to mind.

Jonah Dennis (JD) Paerson

Another request, this time for an older brother to Josef Paerson. The story goes that all of the men in that family have a J-name. His name was already Jonah...but I hate the name Jonah. I assumed that any character I would write for this position, a cool, suave type (supposedly) would also hate the name Jonah. Thus I tried to come up with some good initials for him, so that I could continue to use the "J" part of his name instead of jumping right to a middle name. My favorite combination of letters was JD, so I came up with an awful D-name that he also wouldn't want to use. Thus the two grandfather names, Jonah and Dennis. I don't know about his last name.

Jordan Matthew Scholl

Request from Tony. Ask him if you really want to know. I just wanted to play an invisible kid at the same time he put up an ad for an invisible kid.

[Rhett Goddard]

I always thought it was a beautiful name from the first time i saw it, which I can't remember where it was. It stuck in my mind for years until I named a character in another site like that. I haven't stop loving it. I have no idea why, I wish I knew, I think it's sort of weird but meh.

Allexander
I was once writing this story about a omnipotent boy. one traduction of "omnipotent" in spanish is something like "all-powerful" so i wanted to inclued that "all" in a part of the boy's name. Allex appeared in my mind after I remembered that ALLE means "all" in english (oh surprise!). wikiing it I found out it was also the name in a place of France, which prompted me to give the character a French nationality.

Goddard
As before, for this monipotent boy story project, I needed a godly last name that sounded good. I found this one, which was French too, and it was too perfect to pass by.

[Nathanael Lee]

After reading the significance of other characters' names, I feel kind of stupid to admit that my character names aren't really significant. .-. But some of them (*coughGerricough*) have stories behind them (most don't, lol), and I feel like rambling about inconsequential things.

Germaine Annika Sharpe

(Some useless background information: I started working on this character before Hammel existed, and since she was already in the making at the time Tony and I ran into each other again, I made her my first character here. I stuck with the name Germaine Sharpe, which I chose before I completely tore her apart and remade her for the site.)

Germaine has something to do with Germany (see how much I care?) and has absolutely no relation to her character whatsoever. I like the name Gary, and wanted to use it for a girl's name even though it's not a girl's name. So I went to my best friend who helps me name a lot of my characters, and we looked for similar variations that could be a girl's name. We came up with Gerri, which was short for Germaine. Yeah, that's about it.

Annika. Honestly? Because I was looking at common American middle names, saw Ann, decided I liked it, decided too many people on the site had the name Ann, looked at alternate forms of Ann, saw Annika and immediately thought of Anakin, and chose it because it made me think of Anakin. Dumb reason, I know. Random factoid: she goes by Anni because when I asked the c-box "Which sounds better, Gerri or Anni?" Mads was the only person who responded, and she said Anni.

Sharpe is one of the few names that actually has a purpose...or use to. As I mentioned earlier, this has been her last name since before I came to Hammel, and I could probably go on forever about the history behind it, but I'll try to summarize. My original intent was to make a character that lacked knowledge and wisdom but was still brilliant, and Sharpe was meant to reflect that (Read as: this is the main reason why she's ridiculously eccentric). I'm not entirely sure where things went downhill for Gerri, but I get the feeling I failed at this. I really don't know. I have a hard time telling if my ideas are being received in the way I mean to convey them...if that makes any sense. She was also originally going to be an alchemist (metal is sharp?...IDK, I have strange logic), but then I got the idea for acid generation and went with that instead.

Evan Charles Brackett

(Some useless background information: Before Evan was Evan he was James Carroll. This is another thing I could go on forever about, but I'll spare you. The name James was the result of a brainstorm session with my best friend. Same with Carroll...Actually, most everything about him was the result of a brainstorm session with my best friend (and again, that is a gross simplification and there is actually a long, boring story behind this that I could go into immense detail about it, but I won't). Anyway. I changed it when I imported him to Hammel because Tony already had James Campbell. I mean, having another James character around would be confusing enough, but one with a similar last name as well? Plus, everyone was calling me James and stuff...it just seemed like a good idea to change his name.)

Evan. Because I like it, and I also like the nickname Van. I looked it up just now, and it means God is Good...irrelevant. Also, it's Welsh, and I'm sure that had some weight when I chose it, but I honestly don't recall.

Charles. Because I like it. It's one of my favorite names.

Brackett. Because it was the first name that came up on the random generator I was using that I liked.

Maxwell Aaron Donahue / Nathanael Aaron Lee

I'm not even going to bother breaking up the first and second names of either of them. Again, I just like them...and Maxwell is recycled from a character that I was thinking about making, but then Chez asked me to make the MSAD doctor and I couldn't refuse. As for his last names, I don't feel like talking about them so I won't.

Tamara Jasmine DaCosta

(Some useless background information: Tamara went through a lot of play by changes as her character developed...actually, everything except her first name, middle name, and her personality changed over that time. I started her creation in September, 2010, and didn't make her account until January this year.)

Tamara, like a lot of names I choose, it's just another name I like, along with the nickname Tammy. At some point it was going to be Terra, but that changed before I got serious about making her character.

Jasmine...there's more of an explanation than this, but I'll just leave it at I think it's a nice middle name, which is why it never changed.

DaCosta was chosen because it's a common name, and her previous last name(s) didn't work with her current ethnicity/history.


Yeah, I'm totally lame when it comes to naming things. I'm more inclined to pick them because I like them, rather than because they have some greater meaning. Sorry. xD;

Riley Dean Adams

Riley's always been a fave name of mine ever since (Don't judge) the character Mary-Kate Olsen played in that little sitcom of hers "So Little Time". Dean was from Dean Winchester who is a character from the TV show Supernatural that Jeffrey Dean Morgan - Riley's PB - played in as a father. Adams was for me to 'cleverly' use for Riley's landscaping business (also referencing Patching Adams the movie).

Robert James Wilkes

I chose Robert because I wanted a nickname fit for my unassuming playboy and Robbie just sounds nice. James as a middle name was because I like the name James. Wilkes just sounds good with Robbie.

Benjamin David Rhodes

This was all entirely Kayla's creation but I must say this: Ben is an awesome name ^^. It was partly why I took him up in the first place.

Isabella Tate

Isabella was from a character I played in an old site who also went by Ella because I honestly love how Ella sounds. Tate was actually from Tate-Duncan which is a last name for one of the characters in the new 90210 which I was watching when Ella came about.

Honor Sayers

Honor came from Tony on the C-box when I was asking for names for my blind hypnotist. I thought the name Honor played off pretty well with my character because she's dishonorable. Me and my need to be special >_> Oh and it also came from the decision I made to give her parents the names Chance and Faith and sister Hope. And Sayers came from Nina Sayers from Black Swan. I thought the name Sayers was really awesome.

Sloane Deveraux

Sloane was my first ever character I wrote for role playing. Sloane Deveraux was actually the original name for another Sloane I played on an old site. Sloane was also the last name of the baddie in Alias that I kinda fell in love with and thought it was a kickass name for a girl. Deveraux is a favourite last name of mine that was a character of a movie that I actually didn't end up watching. It just sounded so chic and it went well with Sloane.

[Zachary LaRousse]

Zachary Drake LaRousse

Zac was originally going to be either Napoleon or Lancelot when I first joined the site – Napoleon from a classmate of mine (who had the nickname Neon along with it; it was a smart/awesome name/nickname combination that I just had to use it) and Lancelot from my brother’s would’ve-been middle name – but in one way or another, they just didn’t work out. While they both sounded regal-esque, Napoleon is currently used by a character of mine in another site (so it felt wrong to use it again, somehow) and Lancelot seemed a little too romantic-archaic for me.
Then my other younger brother decided to watch 17 Again one night and for some strange reason, Zac Efron’s name stuck on me (lame right? XD). As it was, Zachary had enough flair in it to sound high and mighty, while Zac was a good enough nickname and it still had that formal sound to it. The best part though is that Zachie can be derived from the name; a rather irritating nickname that fits Zac’s personality well (at least in my opinion). I don’t think I can extract such nicknames from Napoleon or Lancelot anyway.
As for LaRousse, I got it from a Pokemon movie. Destiny Deoxys, I think was it. (Oddly enough, out of the 13 Pokemon movies, this is the movie I remember the least from. I just know that Rayquaza and Deoxys show up, and LaRousse city was the setting of the said movie.) I apparently didn’t care much that it didn’t fit Zac’s playby’s ethnicity that much; it just seemed like the right last name at that time. It had that air to it that would fit Zac’s background nicely so bam, there it went.
Drake on the other hand just found its way. I just needed a one-syllable middle name that isn’t too ‘strong’ and thanks to Drake&Josh, I finally got it. XD.

Jared Park

I had a growing urge to use the nickname Red – again, a name a friend of mine has – that I just had to think of a decent name for it. I would’ve used his name, but it was too Hispanic-sounding for the PB I had in mind that I had to scrap it. I forgot how I ended up with Jared though. XD.
As for Park, since I felt bad for not staying true with Zac’s roots and all that, I tried looking for a decent Korean surname. It’s a good thing I Jay Park existed, else I would’ve gone with Lee. =P.

Mason John McQueen

McQueen was a remnant of what Mason was supposed to be – a lady. Unlike Zac and Jared, took a whole lot of time to be fully-formed. I actually worked backwards with his name; I started with his last name, then his middle name then his first name. John came as a nod to his Christian family background; in my experience, it was one of the most common (second) names among the said communities. He was originally going to be an Alexeis/Alexander, but it was a little too extravagant for his personality (hence me giving it to his brother instead). Mason was a last minute decision really.


Yeah, Zac had the longest history behind his name because even before he had been created, he was just too demanding. XD
