Name:
Avinea, Resla, Jale
Nicknames:
Avi
Age:
sixteen
Orientation:
Bisexual
Desired Rank/Job:
student
Powers:
Aero kinesis: Avi has the ability to control the air around her slightly. Basically she can manipulate the winds direction. If extremely agitated she would be able to create a small cyclone. Just destructive enough to force people to pay attention to her. She is pretty useless with her power and does not really know what she is doing, but she mostly has it under control. There have been a few mishaps in the past though where she was annoyed. Extremely annoyed. Avi’s power is not so strong that she can pick anything up with the wind, but if she tries hard she can push something. Side effects of her power include headaches, a ringing in her ears, and often looking like she just came in from a tornado. Her clothes and hair are almost always windblown. There is nothing really that she can do about it.

General Appearance:
Avi stands at around five feet six inches. She always has a tendency to slouch so she does look a little smaller. This is one thing that really got on her mothers nerves, part of the reason why she did it. Avi often just either leaves her hair down or it is put up in a bouncy ponytail that can be seen swinging as she walks or runs. She has dyed it before but right now it is at a blondeness state. Avi normally wears clothes that look good on her. She is a bit conservative but knows how to have fun. Because of her power you wont really see her running around in skirts or anything, but she does tend to be slightly fashion forward. Avi has a high metabolism so she is fairly skinny.
Personality:
Avi is really very stubborn. She always wants to be right in what she says, thinks, and does. She stands up for what she believes in even if that goes against society’s norms. It takes a lot to get her to temper, and even then she will still hold back. She does not find it a good thing to be angry all the time. Instead she just finds it annoying.
Avi is not always the most, how shall I put this, quiet one. That is both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing, because she always feels as if she is heard and it is a curse because once you get her to start talking you can’t really get her to shut up. Avi is strong willed and strong minded. If you talk to her, you will see that she is someone who will give you the shirt off of their back if asked.
Avi sees things in black and white and to her there is no gray area. If she truly believes something she will defend it to her dying breath. Avi is often told that she is a bit childlike. She is so caught up in her own world she does not want to come down and see the reality for what it truly is.

History
Birth.
Avinea Resla Jale came out kicking and screaming so she was the complete opposite of her elder brother. While he was silent and calm when he came out, she was not. She wanted the attention, the fire, and the room to focus on her. When her father picked her up and named her, Avi slowly started to calm down. That was her father’s magic touch. Avi was preparing her parents for what was to be a long, shouting matched filled life.
Four years old.
“Avinea! I heard you were misbehaving today for your mother. We both know that is not good.” Avi ran up to her daddy and gave him a hug. “She wanted me to put on a dress!” Pouting she looked up at him with puppy eyes. “I wanted to go running and she wanted me in a dress and I can’t very well run in a dress!” She smiled slightly seeing that all too familiar look in his eyes. The look where he always gave in. Whenever she saw that look, she knew she was winning.
When she was little Avi was always running around, and never seemed to stop. Her mother did not understand this since, when she was a little girl, she was always content to just sit and play quietly. Avi was the complete opposite of her. Often times she would run around just to frustrate her mother more. Hey, it was fun to see her mom get red. The four year old loved her mother dearly, but she was just not much fun! Why did she always try to stop her from running around? Avi hated that. She LOVED Running it was the funnest, and I repeat the funnest, thing for her to do. She just didn’t understand why she had to sit still and play with dolls. They were dolls for crying out loud! She would rather be out in yard running. Pretending she was flying
Six years old.
All over a little prank Avi found herself chasing after her brother. Who knew that he would be so mad over some water and a bit of pink dye? Now he was even holding her bear hostage. The bear was the one thing she really treasured. Grimacing Avi yelled, “Kinas! Give me back my bear!” Avi watched as her brother held it over her head. The problem was she was just to short to reach it.
When Kinas started to run Avi knew she had a chance. After all, that was the one area that she knew she as better them him in. She knew she as faster. Taking off as fast as she could she ran and ran and ran. She finally got past him and skidded to a stop in front of him. “ Give me back my bear!” Avi watched as her brother stopped in front of her but sneered. “Why should I?”
The words that had come out of Kinas’s mouth made Avi very mad. “Because he’s my bear! You have your duck! Gimmie Back my bear!” Avi pouted as she was telling him this. Her brother, seeing that she was serious about not apologizing made his way over to the wood chipper. He was determined to make her apologize to him.
The thought to actually put her bear in the wood chipper never really crossed his mind. That would be too cruel, but as he dangled it over the wood chipper he looked at his sister. “ Avinea apologize. If you do you can have your bear.” Smirking the ten year old looked at his little sister. Just what would she do?
Avi’s bottom lip quivered. “Give it back! I did nothing wrong!” Avi looked at her brother, immediately wanting her bear. She honestly, in her heart of hearts did not understand what she had done wrong. Honestly, Avi just thought her brother needed to lighten up. Just because all his clothes were pink now, didn’t mean he should kidnap her bear!
Biting her lip in resignation Avi mumbled. “I’m sorry for turning all of your clothes pink.” Turning to him she held her hand out for the bear. “I apologized. Now give it.”
Avi watched as her brother made a motion to give it to her. Her face fell when the bear slipped out of his fingers and went into the wood chipper. For a while Avi was just silent, mostly in shock. Once the shock wore off though, she started crying. Her brother, unsure of what to do, went and got heir mom. As her mother came over Avi Just slumped down and cried.” My bear! My bear! Kinas Killed My Bear!” Avi stayed like that till her father came home that night. Her mother and her brother could do nothing to cheer her up. Eventually they gave up and waited for the father to get home.
When her father came home she ran to him crying. “Kinas killed my bear!” Avi’s father just hugged her and let her cry, that was all he could do. When he offered to get her a new bear Avi quickly shook her head. “That was my bear. If I don’t have that one I don’t want a bear at all.” With that Avi had her cry and went to bed. In the morning she got up and went to see her brother. “ I wont forgive you. You killed my bear.”
Nine years old.
Avi was getting a sister! She was sure the fun was about to begin. She still liked her brother but thought that having a sister would be really cool and fun. She would take her racing, teach her how to feel like flying and show her that she would be able to be anything at all. Avi was super excited, though she wasn’t to sure about her mothers stomach getting so big. She asked her daddy why it was so big. Her daddy told her that it was so big so her little sister could grow. Since her daddy had said it, it must be true, is what Avi thought. Full of confidence when asked by her friends why her mothers stomach was so big she replied, all ready with the answer. When Avi offered to share her rooms she was told, much to her dislike, that no, Holly was not allowed to sleep in Avi’s room. For the entire day afterwards Avi pouted.
When Avi’s parents came home with little Holly Avi was so happy she just wanted to hug her younger sister. When Avi saw the tiny-ness of her sister she tentatively looked down at her. She was so small, Avi looked up at her mom and dad. “She’s tiny.” Avi laughed when her little sister grabbed for her finger. “Daddy! Was I this small?” With her little sister here Avi felt very curious. What was she like as a baby? Shaking her head Avi just watched her sister. She would protect her with her life if need be. Smiling Avi went out into the yard seeing that she had a lot of things to think about.
Eleven years old.
Avi knew that her grades were not the best. She felt stupid after her brother had come home with excellent grades. Avi felt like Kinas was just poking it in her face for fun. She did not understand the motivation behind him ridiculing her grades. Especially when he was already fifteen years old. Sighing she made her way up to the study to give her report card to her parents. She was hoping that she was going to get off easy when they say the A++ in Physical Education and Mathematics. Before she could get very far her brother came over and took it out of her hands. When Kinas saw the F in English he proceeded to shout her grade. Before she knew what was happening the winds were building up around Avi. Avi‘s mood could only be described as raging.“ Why did you have to go and ruin it? I had to be the one to tell them. NOT YOU!”
With her hair flying in all directions and her feelings towards what her brother had done in full force Avi felt the winds around her become more violent. “WHY DID YOU TELL THEM?! I WANTED TO!” All of the windows in the living room were shaking with the high winds that were occurring in the room. All she could do was look at her brother in rage. He told! How dare he? With those thoughts the windows in the living room burst. Glass flew in all directions Avi knew something was wrong. Calming down was not an option now for Avi, so without a second thought Avi went off almost screaming in frustration, on a run. She ran and ran and ran until she got to the park. Finally calm, running did that, she was able to just think. What had she done? Was everyone ok? Why did he have to get her so worked up? Why?
Silently Avi began to cry, she wouldn’t forgive herself if she had hurt her brother. She was afraid that she had caused a lot of trouble for her family. Honestly Avi did not mean for those windows to burst. She did not know why the wind was that violent. It was all very confusing. All Avi had wanted was for her brother to not yell what her English grade was. When he did she quickly lost her temper. With anyone else it was almost impossible for her to lose her temper, but her brother had that uncanny ability to make her do so. Quickly Avi walked home with tears in her eyes. What was going on?
When Avi got home she ran up to her dad and gave him a hug. “S...S...Sorry. I didn’t mean it. I’m Sorry!” She did the same thing with the rest of her family taking a long time on her brother. She was not sure if it was ok but she was happy, very happy, when her brother hugged her back. When he apologized she started crying again. Why was her family so good to her? For few days Avi’s life went back to normal. Then a recruiter showed up at her house claiming that she was a meta and she was going to need training. Since Avi had grown up in a small town in upstate New York she thought that the prospect of moving to Vermont, and to a boarding school also, was a bit scary.
Avi felt that even though she was leaving her family and Hoppers, it might just turn out to be an adventure. Avi could only hoped that she would be able to run at Hammel. Avi was happy though that she would be learning to control her new powers. That was something that she had really wanted since she had basically blown out all the windows in her family’s living room. Avi felt that she had to try her best to control, and to understand her powers. If Hammel could help her in achieving that goal she was glad to go.
Sixteen years old.
Avi had really grown a lot in the time she has been at Hammel. It was not that she had not felt that she was here for a reason. She felt that yes, she has adapted. Avi knows that she is who she is. She is still stubborn and she is still running around everywhere. That is something that she is happy about. Gradually over time Avi has earned to calm her temper and has continued running as it calms her. Avi is glad that she was able to learn to mostly control her power. She has made a few friends and has made a few enemies. All in All within the years the Avi has been at Hammel she has grown and is really thankful to her teachers for making her think past herself, and to make herself discover herself more.
Roleplay Example
Refrence Catherine Novella... But if i have to here...
As previously stated Cat was ignoring the world except for her book. So it was not all out of it that she walked right past Alexx. In fact she was doing pretty good to just stay with it in her book. She sat down with a sigh and let her mind wander over the book. She was halfway into it when someone sat down next to her. Cat decided it would be best to ignore them. She really just wanted to be left alone.
Cat was reading the page over again, trying to comprehend it when someone said something to her. She looked up at the person next to her. “Hi.” Why did he have to show up? All she wanted to do today was be left alone. To read. Let her worries be drowned in the words. She really was not looking forward to talking to Alexx. Especially after what he had said the last time she had seen him.
Cat went back to reading. She felt now that she had said her hellos she could go back to reading. Boy was she in for it when Alexx pried open that box of worms she had been ignoring. Been avoiding. Cat wondered if it would be best to pretend she hadn’t heard him. That he was speaking to the wind and she was invisible. “Yes we have broken up. So?” Cat spotted a rubber band and grabbed it immediately. Finally. Something to put her hair up. Swiftly putting up her hair into a soft ponytail Cat pushed her glasses up on her nose. That was better. She was more like herself. Much better.
When Cat heard the second part of the statement she grew a shade of pink only slightly. “ You may not be expecting a punch from him as he has disappeared.” She would not say his name. She would not. That would tear down all the walls she had worked so hard to build up again. She could not allow that to happen. She wouldn’t. Putting a smile on her face she addressed Alexx again. “Did you need something? Or were you just wanting to talk?” Cat hoped that now that he had gotten her attention and was attempting a conversation with her he would leave her alone. Waiting for his response she sat there stony faced looking at the book.
