It's time for mortarboards, ugly robes, and diplomas, you guys. If you wish to have your character graduate from Hammel, and you meet the graduation requirements, then get ready to bump your character up to a different usergroup! (Or retirement.)
This is entirely voluntary. If you wish to keep your character a student at Hammel, you may. However, this gives the option for characters to develop some more.
A graduation thread will be posted on June 24. That will also be the official date of graduation.

To graduate, characters must:
- Be at least seventeen years of age and a senior.
- Have good control over their power and side-effects.
- Have grades good enough to pass high school.
- Post in the graduation thread. (Optional, but preferred.)
If your character is graduating, there are three options:
- College Student: This is a new usergroup that will be set up at graduation. College students will no longer be in the "locals" usergroup. To be in this group, the character must be enrolled in either the University of Vermont (a state school) or the community college that will be created shortly. The community college is about fifteen minutes from Pilot Ridge and UV is about a half-hour.
- Local: This is for graduates who, for whatever reason, are sticking around in Pilot Ridge but are not going to college.
- Retirement: If your character is not going to either of the schools and is not staying in Pilot Ridge, they will be retired. We want to keep the focus on Hammel and Pilot Ridge, so graduates who decide to go into the military, different schools, or back to their families must be retired. Remember, we allow for characters to be reinstated, so if you want to bring them back to Pilot Ridge, just let us know.
