So.
The Hammel Institute, a school for meta-humans to train and use their powers without having to fear for their lives. Aternity knew all about this place from not only his family, but his time in the system as well. These schools were all connected like one big network. If you were a part of one, it was sort of as if you were connected to all of them. Kocher had been his home for a good amount of his life, and on the occasion, he actually missed it. However, if you've been to one, no matter how different, you've kind of been to them all. Sure, that school in Russia was military, and Japan worked theirs into the ground, but these powers...they connected people. Just like the internet. It was like coming home for the second time. Just this time, he would be the parent for a bunch of kids.
Or teacher.
It kind of depended on interpretation.
Now the issue was finding the bloody door to this place. Aternity, despite his innate ability to judge direction and spacial orientation...could not find the door to the main office of Hammel. Rather, he did, but it had taken him 10 minutes, and the winter was wearing on him. Granted, Switzerland, Iceland and Russia were all cold, and he was used to it, but still. Human. Cold. They don't mix.
And nor did Aternity's attitude when he tried to talk to an assistant in the main office. The conversation was needless to say, lacking in clarity.
"What do you mean they didn't make my keys?"
"Mr. Awr--"
"Doctor."
"Doctor Awren, they told me at least two days before you got here. I'm sorry. I'll have the keys for your office made in an hour."
There was no point in complaining. He had lost this battle. Instead, he resorted to simply pouring himself some coffee from the table close by and sitting down. Several students were coming in and out. The first day was going to go swimmingly...ugh.
