Getting lost in frozen circles.

Shane looked at the little map he’d been given to help him navigate the school and frowned in confusion. There was a library here somewhere, he was sure of it, after all it was on the map and this was a school so there was bound to be a library. Taking yet another left turn he found himself simply in a long row of doors. He frowned turning the map back around… and around again. Was it upside down? Doing a mental sigh he stuffed the map in his pocket and just began to wander aimlessly, he was lost already so what did it matter if he got himself even more lost. On his walk he passed several students, ones with their faces glued to phones, ones talking rapidly with their companions, ones with their headphones in. None of these students appeared approachable; none of them looked at him for him to wave for their help.
Pushing a door open and stepping outside Shane took a deep breath and shivered. It was bloody cold out here, enough that his nose already started to feel numb. Hot cider or tea would be great right now, perhaps I should look for the cafeteria . Resolved once again to find something Shane pulled the crinkled map from his pocket and tried to match up land marks. I think I have it now Smiling to himself he started walking off in some direction passing some more people just absorbed into their own worlds. Coming to a convergence of paths he looked back down at his path. Which way did I go from here again? Looking up he saw a very put together girl coming down the path in front of him. Unlike the others he’d passed she didn’t looked absorbed into her own little life and he dared to wave at her.
Signing slowly with the hope that she’d understand he pointed to the cafeteria on the map. I’m hopelessly lost… and cold, can you help me? He waited to see if she’d respond otherwise he could pull out his phone to ‘talk’ to her.
