We go again to Never Nerverland(Cat+Tamar)

Cat walked into the library as it was the one place she knew the way too without getting lost. She began to walk through the rows taking in all of the smells and began to get that feeling that everything was alright. Cat walked into the section of the library that held the classics. She was looking for the perfect book. The one that would take her mind off things. Cat passed by Heidi, Cinderella, and Moby Dick before finding her self in front of the book about a boy who just didn’t want to grow up.

Carefully Cat took the book out of it’s place and blew the dust off of the cover. It really was a treasure, full of adventures, pirates and the legendary hero of Peter Pan. Someone who delighted many with his tales of lost boys, crocodiles, and even mermaids that try to eat you. Cat smiled at the fond memories that the book arose within her. She had first read it in third grade. And it enchanted her. Slowly as to not disturb anyone cat made her way to one of the chairs at the end of the row. She let it encompass her and Cat began to read once again letting memories overtake her.

The library was not a place one would think of if they were looking for Tamar. Every once in awhile, though, it was a necessary place to go. She didn't read much and she didn't really put much effort into her homework, either, so she had little interest nor necessity to visit the library. Today though, she really did need to go for homework as it wasn't something she could get away with doing without getting the book, unfortunately. So here she was, wandering the shelves, trying to put off actually sitting down and doing her homework.

As Tamar walked she came upon a girl sitting in one of the chairs at the end of a row. Normally, Tamar wouldn't have given her a seconds thought, but she recognized that cover. She stopped. Though she may not like to read much, Tamar had quite an attachment to Peter Pan. She'd had the book with her since her parents died and had probably read it hundreds of times, certainly to the point that she had it nearly memorized. She'd never had to verbalize her reasons, it wasn't something she shared with people, but the book spoke to her. She remembered when she was little that she'd wanted nothing more than for Peter to show up at the window and take her away from her life, away from grownups, to Neverland.

Tamar slid into the seat opposite the girl. "Is that Peter Pan?" She asked, obviously though, she knew the answer. The girl looked a few years older than Tamar and she was a bit surprised to see someone that age reading Peter Pan. Usually teenagers didn't want to seem childish for reading a kid's book. This was one of the reasons that she didn't advertise her love for the book, she didn't want to get made fun of. This girl looked like a bookworm though, so maybe she didn't mind. Tamar decided to take a venture and added, "It's my favorite."

Cat was into the book, so she didn’t notice the girl come up to her first. She was surprised when the girl inched closer and came so she was just a few inches from Cat. Cat almost jumped. *Almost* Cat looked startled. The girl was only a few inches from her face. She was looking at the book in her hands. Cat smiled. She had loved this book when she was little. It was a way to escape from, certain things, that Cat did not want anyone to know about.

Silently Cat nodded. Yes this was Peter Pan. Cat remembered the feeling of wanting to be just like Wendy, escape into a realm of magic and mischief. Cat smiled silently and looked at the girl opposite her. Her eyes were those of a child, yet they hid some sadness. Oh well. Cat was sure this girl had her own fair share of secrets. Didn’t they all? Especially if they were at hammel.

Cat saw how the girl looked at the book. She loved it. Cat knew that feeling. In reverence cat handed it over. She smiled at the girl. “This was one of my favorites too. Don’t you just love the fact that you can go to all of the places in the book right from where you are? It is a complete escape. I’m Cat.” Cat blushed. Why was she so open with this girl? Cat wasn’t open with anyone. As Cat pondered this she went to the classic section again and pulled out Cinderella. Quickly se hurried back to her chair and began reading this book.

The girl handed the book to Tamar and she took it, flipping through the pages. This wasn't like her copy. Her copy had tape holding the binding together and was filled with underlines and writing. There were a lot of people who would be horrified at the state of it, but if you looked closely you would see that these markings and writings showed how much she cared about it. It was almost a diary of sorts, though Tamar would never call it that. If someone were to read it through, paying attention to the written notes and the highlighted passages, they would be seeing into her mind as no one else had.

"Sometimes I wish I could go there for real, though." She said, quietly, almost to herself. When she looked up Cat had come back with another book, this one Cinderella. This wasn't a book she was a fan of, well, she hadn't ever read it, actually. But she was sure that she wouldn't like it, it was about princesses after all. "I'm Tamar, by the way. I'm pretty new, have you been here for long?" She asked a bit distractedly, still flipping through the pages of Peter Pan.

Cat looked up from the book when she heard the girl talk about wanting to go. Cat smiled. She was always remembering the times she had read the book at her local library. She was around the girl’s age, and she wanted to go so bad. It was mother’s day then, and the school had made a big to do about it, even making the kids bring in their mothers for the day. She remembered how Wendy and peter had comforted her that afternoon. She remembered crying into the pages until her Grammy had come to pick her up. Cat had always had a soft spot for the book since then. “I think we would all want to go for real. It is a place of miracles. Anyone who has ever read the book will at least admit to that.” Cat smiled.

When she plopped back into the chair she had Cinderella, seeing the look of disdain on the girl’s face she chuckled. “Don’t like Cinderella huh? Well have you read it? It’s quite entertaining. An older tale of an everyday story. A mother and two sisters abusing the girl, the father nowhere to be found, and the one person who unconditionally loved her dies. If that doesn’t scream family drama I don’t know what does.” Cat went back to reading. “It isn’t just about princess’s you know.”

When the girl introduced her self as Tamar Cat smiled. She was happy to see someone so young enjoying a good book. Cat felt herself open even more when the girl introduced herself. “I’m Cat; wait I already said that,” Cat laughed slightly, she could laugh at her own mistakes, “It’s nice to meet you Tamar. I’m pretty new myself; I’ve only been here a few weeks.” Seeing the girl flip back through the book Cat chuckled. “It is a good story isn’t it?”
