Classes had only recently just ended and everyone was currently making a mad dash back to their dorms or outside to their cars. It was a sheer blizzard outside, and that was one reason why she chose to stay inside. Winter was about her least favorite season, and she tended to avoid it as much as she could. Secondly, the public busing system was delayed due to the poor weather. Kara couldn't drive and didn't own a car. She could walk home, but she dreaded stepping outside into that white mass and freezing cold.
She stared out at the snow storm for a brief moment before she headed down the crowded hallway and slipped into the library. Here, the noise level was much more muted especially when the door closed behind her. She gave a quick glance around and noticed a combination of both students and facility also occupying the library. A slight smile crossed her lips as she moved over to an empty table and took a seat.
She set her bag down on a chair near her own, opening it and pulling out a book. The title read Kitty and the Midnight Hour it was the beginning to a book series about a woman named Kitty who ran a midnight radio show and she was also a werewolf. She had read four of the books already, but she'd just bought the last two books in the series. Since she hadn't read the books in ages, she planned on renewing her mind to the story. That way, when she read the two new books of the series she'd be able to pick up on it better.
She was very appreciative that the chairs in the library were actually quite comfortable. It made it easier to sit for long periods of time and it would make her current adventure into Denver, Colorado where the books story begins rather pleasant. She leaned slightly against her seat, slouching slightly as she opened up the blue colored book with her left hand, the tattoo of the scorpion on her hand seeming to move with the movement.
Her whole left arm and shoulder was covered in memorials of her close friends, her bugs. It helped her remember them. Some people thought her tattoos looked pretty cool, but they didn't really understand the value behind them. She admired the tattoo on her hand for a brief moment, her right hand gently running along the scorpion's back before she refocused on the book in her lap. Kara wore black slacks and an forest green colored dressy polo. Her black colored winter coat rested on the back of the chair. Her hair was down and slightly curly.
