I was hoping if you had some time tomorrow you could help me with understanding spoken words like we talked about. It's completely alright if you'd rather not, I just know we talked about it. Either way I'll catch you later.

Shane tucked the note under Avery's door before hurrying out to find Cat at the library.

(Skip forward several hours)

Shane slipped into his room and sighed. He had a bit of a headache and his ear were a tad tired. He'd had fun today but he was exhausted. Collapsing on his bed he fell quickly into a deep sleep.

(Skip forward to morning)

Shane rolled over searching his person for the small vibrating square that was irritating him. Locating his phone he quickly turned off his alarm and mentally groaned. Mornings... did not like. Sitting up Shane rubbed a hand through his hair as his stomach turned. He needed fooood. Shane got up and went to venture through the shared kitchen for something to tame his stomach.

[Avery Sainsbury]

Waking up Avery decided to go and grab some food. Leaving her hair in a messy bun and just putting a robe and slippers on. All Avery could think was she needed coffee and some eggs. Eyes half shut she walked into the kitchen. She wasn't use to people being up so she didn't even notice Shane. All she really saw was the coffee pot with no Coffee. "Awww...no coffee?" She looked at the coffee pot like it had stole her kitten.

Shawn looked up in his wrinkled clothes and blinked at her over a bowl of cereal. Looking around he rolled his eyes, wrinkled his nose and spotted a napkin and a pen. Coffee pots busted.... at least I couldn't get it to work... but I don't have much luck with those things Shawn handed over the napkin and grabbed his bowl filling his seemingly never ended stomach this morning.

Surprise took her eyes as she finally noticed Shane. Tightening her robe up she blushed. Avery hated to look in disarray but this morning she just couldn't go straight to getting ready. Taking the note she read it. "Aw..I need coffee." Sighing she placed the paper down and tried to think. Soon mouth agape and eyes wide she went into the cupboards. Smiling wide she pulled out a little plastic container.

Showing it to him all proud she smiled wider. "Ah ha! a back up. Instant coffee. Add it to your cup of hot or boiling water and presto no more sad morning." Avery nodded and grabbed a cup and fill it with hot water and put it in the microwave. "would you like some?"

Shane thought quietly before nodding. Coffee would be good, perhaps he'd actually be able to wake up and get motivated with the day. After all he did have things to do and sleeping just wasn't a good way to get said things done when a person's things had dead lines. Shane actually stop to contemplate the thought he'd so he could better translate it for himself. Things= homework= due dates= grades. Sleep = rushing for homework= possible skipped due dates = poor grades. Coffee = energy = getting home work done= turning in on time = good grade. Yep coffee was a good idea for him. Satisfied that he'd worked out his own personal little mental equation from no where Shane smiled and accepted the cup of coffee.

Turning the napkin over he scribbled on the soft papery surface. do you have plans for the day? Or could you help me with the history assignment due tomorrow? Shane figured if he could get her talking about something like history than it might be less emotional and it's be easier for both of them. But he wouldn't be insulted in the slightest if she had plans and things to do.

Avery nodded as she pulled the first cup of coffee out of the microwave. The mug was warm to the touch and the water was steaming. She assumed the water had been boiling which would make for the perfect cup of coffee. Pouring in the coffee mix she stirred it well as she had yet to look back at Shane, not knowing he had wrote her a note. Considering she had yet to have her cup of coffee it was ok for her. Considering until she got that cup of coffee she would probably be so of in her own world to notice what was going on. Carefully holding the cup she placed it on the table in front of Shane.

As the cup slid in to place Avery noticed the note. Tiny writing on a napkin caught her attention. Gently she slid it over closer to her so she could get a better look. Leaning down she started to read it. Since she was tired it took her a few tries to do so and after she comprehended it she smiled. Hoping that their last meeting wouldn't affect them being friend or what not. looking at Shane she tried to speak softly and slow so he could read her lips considering she didn't think she could write very coherently at that moment. She wished she had an easier time falling asleep.

"I...Am...free...today...just...need....coffee...first...too...sleepy..too write...sorry.. "

With that she turned around and sighed. Opening the cupboard once more and grabbing another mug to make her own coffee. After she made sure that she stirred it fully she slid in the seat in front of Shane. "Sorry...I'm...just...slow...in...the..mornings..." Avery really hoped she wasn't coming of rude but she was utterly too tired and just not on the same plane as Shane at the moment. Avery was offically in the world of sleepy without her coffee.

Shane nodded sipping on his own coffee. Avery seemed very tired and exhausted, he honestly didn't blame her at all for not being awake. Don't feel bad I have slow morning too. Enjoy your coffee... hell we don't have to study until tonight. Shane offered a smile that was interrupted by a yawn. I'm not really in any state to study at the moment anyways. He pushed the seat out next to him so she could sit. Any thing particular you'd like for breakfast? Least I can do for the cup of coffee?
