Directions?(Cat+Kara)(CLOSED)

Cat looked up from the book she was reading. She was on her way to her dorm from the library but somehow she had gotten lost. Again. She wasn’t fond of getting lost but, she couldn’t help it. Nothing in life was going all right but all cat could do was grit her teeth and bare it. It was almost time for her to be in bed. But to be frank Cat had no idea where she was. She knew she was still on the Campus but it seems there was a courtyard of some sort. It had a fountain. Cat guessed it to be the school courtyard. Ugh how was she going to explain this to her RA? Cat looked around and saw one girl in particular. She had Blondish hair and was an Asian. Cat supposed she should go up and ask for directions.

Karashi sat on a bench in the courtyard. It was getting late. She figured she should head back inside, due to the fact that her in-doors curfew ended in about a half an hour. She frowned, looking around the courtyard. Her eyes hadn’t adjusted to the darkness yet, so she could barely see anything. She didn’t see the girl who was walking through the courtyard.

She slammed her book shut and stretched. She yawned, frowning. She didn’t feel sleepy. Must be that time of night when she couldn’t stop yawning. She stood up, and stretched again, and then hugged her book close to her chest. She started towards her dorms, and didn’t notice the girl until she bumped into her. “Oh I’m sorry!” She had never seen this girl before. She stepped back, blushing from embarrassment.

Cat walked into the girl as she was standing up. Falling back Cat’s glasses got knocked off. Trying to see Cat opened her eyes as wide as she could and started fumbling around for them. “Please don’t step on my glasses” All Cat could do was make out the outline for the girl. She couldn’t really see all that well anyways but it wasn’t going to stop her from looking. Cat hoped the girl was ok. She felt around for her and started to climb up. “Could you please help me find my glasses?”

The little girl was suddenly on the ground, and Karashi frowned. She hadn’t meant to knock the girl off her feet. In fact she didn’t think that she had even bumped into her that hard. Then again, the girl was tiny, so probably any type of bump would put the girl on the ground in some way. She hoped the girl was alright, and that she wasn’t hurt. If she was, Karashi probably would freak out and go into panic mode, which would not be good for either of the two girls.

Karashi did not move when the girl told her not to step on her glasses. She looked on the ground all around her, and found the glasses in the grasses about two feet from where the two girls were. She was about to go retrieve them when she suddenly felt the little girl tugging on her clothing. She helped the girl to stand, and smiled at her, not that she could see it. “Sure. I know exactly where they are. Stay here.” She left the girl, making sure she stayed there, and then went and got her glasses. She returned, taking the girl’s hand to let her know that she was there. “Here they are.” She put them in the girl’s hand, not letting go until she was sure that the girl had a firm grip on them.

Cat steadied her self and tried to smile. “Thank you for finding my glasses, they are the only pair I have.” Cat smiled at the girl. Cat was taller then the girl, at the most a few inches. Cat was somewhat shy. She was thankful that the girl wasn’t mean and had offered her glasses. She brushed her self off. She was alright. Cat Finally after a period of silence said “Thank you again for giving me my glasses. I can’t see without them.” Cat blushed. This girl was pretty. She had light brown hair and was kind of short. Cat bet that if she wore heels they would be about the same height. She smiled. “Umm hi I’m Cat,” cat fumbled, “I’m sorry to bother you again but it’s almost curfew, could you please tell me where we are? You see I’m a bit lost.”

Karashi smiled at the girl. She seemed nice enough, but Karashi still kept her guard up. The small, cute, and kind ones were the ones to watch out for. She had been taught that by her aunt. She kept her distance, once again being cautious. She tilted her head, her hair falling off of her shoulder and hanging loosely as she kept her head tilted like that. The girl kept thanking her. She seemed so sweet that Karashi thought that she was a bit suspicious. She looked at the girl. She was a bit taller than she was, but only by a few inches. She figured if she wore heels then she would be of equal height, or even one or two inches taller.

She nodded and beamed. “You’re welcome. It’s not very good if you can’t see where you are going.” She shifted her weight, and straightened her head. “Nice to meet you Cat. My name is Karashi. You can call me Kara for short. And I can help you. But since it’s almost curfew, why don’t you stay with me? I’ll ask my RA about it. If it involves safety then I’m sure she won’t mind. Tomorrow is Saturday, so I can give you a grand tour. At least of what I know.” She chuckled at her own little joke. She hoped the girl said yes. She wanted to get to know her better.

Cat and the girl were staring at each other for a few moments. Almost as if they didn’t know what they had to do with each other, now that they were interacting. Cat felt it would be rude not to reply to Kara, as she learned. “no its not good if I can’t see where I’m going. I get lost easy anyways, it’s not that hard for me to fall down sometimes while I’m lost.” cat started talking faster as she did with people who she didn’t know. “I like your name Kara, its really sweet.” Cat started to nod when Kara was talking about letting her stay with her. Then, finding herself once again flustered, Cat blushed. She stutterd out in a small voice, “I’d like that. That is if you don’t mind.” Cat turned away hiding her now bright red face. “Umm,, I’ve been here for a few days and all but to tell you the truth I’m easily getting lost even if I have a map or GPS. I often have to Stop and ask people for directions. It would be nice to actually have someone show me around campus. It might make me remember my way around better.”

She smiled and nodded. She liked this girl already. She spoke a little fast, but maybe it was because she was nervous. She could understand the girl being nervous, what with meeting a new person and losing her glasses an all. Karashi used to be that way, especially at the Japanese institute. In fact, she had been really shy. Nowadays she was still shy, but she wasn’t when people obviously needed help or came up to her first. She was still cautious however. She never fully trusted a person until she got to know them better. She’d rather be safe than sorry. It was another thing her aunt had taught her, and she was glad, what with all of the things she had heard on the news.

“Thanks. I like your name as well. It’s different and unique.” She nodded at the girl, still smiling. “Of course I don’t mind. I don’t think I would be asking if I did mind. The only thing is, my roommate will probably be home. I’m sure he won’t mind.” Her roommate Eric was a nice guy, but she hadn’t asked him if he was ok with her bringing in a friend. She smiled and started towards the dorms. She then stopped and turned around, looking at Cat. “Are you coming or are you just going to stand there?” Her tone was light and cheerful, and she was still smiling, not that Cat could see since it was getting dark and Karashi was a few feet away.
