Shane was not happy to be here so far away from his family and everything he knew. To some he’d lead a very sheltered life and in a way he had… and he liked it that way. He’d lived in the same house, the same town, had the same friends, seen the same doctor his entire life. So the idea of a new state, new city, new school, new teachers, new friends, new people… really didn’t appeal to him.
Grabbing his jacket he pulled it on and wrapped a scarf around his neck. It was colder there than back home and he didn’t like that either. Cold + Sign Language= Very painful fingers.
A walk is what he needed, he was here to figure out his gift and he supposed the sooner he got to learning the sooner he could go home… right? Somehow that partial thought didn’t comfort him the way he had hoped it would. He’d heard stories, once they took you away you didn’t come back, they did experimental testing on people, they brain washed you, the rumors went on.
A vibration from his pocket made him pause as a photo of Dusty filling his screen. Your girl misses you but I’m keeping a good eye on her Luvs, Jane! Shane thrust his phone and hands back into his pocket pouting to himself. Dusty, his golden retriever and aide dog, his best friend and companion, was all the way back in Seattle with his family. Your going to learn your gift Shane, you won’t need Dusty, its better for her to stay here than in a tiny dorm room. Think of what’s best for her. His mother had been right but he still felt all alone without her.
Finding a small bench Shane collapsed and sat before leaning back and staring at the sky. He really didn’t want to be here. It was too cold, too big, too lonely. Sure he could see himself objectively and knew he was acting like a spoiled child but that didn’t matter to him. He wanted to act like a spoiled child.
((OOC 1: Open but Ayami called dips for first interaction… I think that’s what was decided in C-box...
OCC 2: Please let me know if I switch POV, my RP experience is in 1rst person so I may slip a few times as I switch my brain over.))
