It appeared that some of the Superman talk had gotten to JD. Mostly, it had served to awaken a desire to relive some childhood memories and watch a bunch of the old cartoons he used to see. So he dug up a few Teen Titans episodes, a few old Justice League cartoons, and was about to start watching when he decided he wanted to serve a dual purpose.
It was time Zac was educated.
So he went to Zac and invited him to a cartoon night. The billionaire agreed, provided that this cartoon night took place as a sleepover at his house in town. JD hadn't been aware that Zac had a house in town, but he wasn't surprised. He agreed tentatively, also agreeing that someone else could come. He wasn't sure exactly who Zac was going to invite, but figured it couldn't be anything too bad.
If JD could handle Zac, he could definitely handle anyone else from Hammel. Right?
So he picked out a list of links and grabbed his laptop, even packing a pair of pajama bottoms and grabbing a sleeping bag. He stuffed it all into a duffle bag along with a box of cookies and a few bags of chips (just in case someone forgot to make popcorn) and headed out. It was Thursday night, because he knew that Zac would have parties to go to on Friday and because his classes on Friday didn't start until 10, so he'd have a little extra time to get ready in the morning. But it wasn't like they would be staying up that late, anyway.
It was just some cartoons and some pizza, then a nice, quiet night. He had repeated this over and over to Zac, and he hoped that some of his instructions had sunk in.
He ran to the house and knocked on the door. "All right," he said when the door opened, "I've got a bunch of shows picked out, and I've got coupons for pizza and I have a newspaper, so don't push me. Where should I set up the computer?"
