Broken Vs. The Way We Were Born (Rhys)

Walking away from Braxton she sighed and shook her head. Sawyer had called Rhys and told him she was going to meet him at his apartment. She was in such a bad mood now. Her brother knew exactly how to piss her off and..... well it pissed her off! Why did he feel this undying need to be an ass about everything? Making her way out to her car she got in and threw the cigarettes he'd thrown at her on the seat. On a second thought, she grabbed one and lit it and sat there for a moment before pulling out and heading down the street.
Traffic usually sucked at this time of day so it took her a little longer than normal. Which was probably good because she always showed up when he was in the shower and she wasn't sure why. Perhaps if she took a little longer he'd be out and dressed by the time she got there. Damn she needed a drink.
Pulling into her usual parking spot she shut her car door a little rougher than necessary and ran to Rhys' door. Letting herself in as usual she took off her sunglasses and ran a hand through her mess of curly blond hair. He happened to be in the kitchen this time. Ahh her plan had worked. She knew because his hair was still wet.
With a sigh she walked to him and sank into his arms. "I've had a bad day." her words were a little muffled because her face was pressed to his shoulder. Her skin was still warm from all the sun she'd gotten that day and his arms were instantly calming to her less than cheery mood. But it didn't entirely cure the rage she felt deep inside over the events of the afternoon.
