That night would have been much like any other if not for certain events. If Luke had not been at a party in town, if he'd not been stir crazy for the beautiful women there, burning up with desire and arrogance, becoming cockier and cockier by the minute, maybe things would have been different. And most especially, if Zac was not present, this entire event would not have happened. But Luke was at a part in downtown, he wasfiercely attracted to all the beautiful women, and Zac was also at the party. These three circumstances added up to nothing good for anyone.
--------------
It was the evening on a Friday, and everyone was going out, well everyone that was important or social enough to have a place to go, that is. Which of course meant that Luke was coiffing his hair after working out just previously. He donned designer jeans, a tee shirt and sleek vest, throwing on a military jacket to keep him warm on his walk over. Tonight was going to be a good night.
This party happened to be off campus, thankfully, which meant that pretty much anything could happen. Luke was flying solo that night, making sure not to have any cling on girls with him, since he didn't want to be responsible for them and babysit them all night. Besides, he didn't think he could keep his eyes locked on only one babe that night anyways. From what he heard, there were going to be lots of people, mainly girls. That's exactly his kind of party.
He'd made his way over there at roughly 10:30 pm, fashionably late as usual. Music could be heard a few buildings down, making the place seem to bump to the rhythm. He likes what he heard, and when he walked up those few stairs and opened the door, he definitely liked what he saw. Hell, he was a guy alright, it was the mot important time of his life for this sort of thing; he couldn't let it pass him by.
He made his way around the few people near the door, and into the club of sorts, towards the bar. He wasn't legal yet, nor did he have a fake, but he didn't think he needed to get too drunk anyways. If an older girl bought him something, well he wouldn't admit that he'd refuse it, but as for trying to get some himself that was asking for it. Not to mention if some guy or gal from Hammel saw what he was doing and told, he'd be in deeper crap than he'd ever like to imagine. At that, he ordered San Pellegrino, and headed towards a back seat to view all the lovely ladies on the dance floor. With all of these choices how could he possibly choose just one? They were like flavors of ice cream for a fat child to choose from. And then--
There he was. Just holding his glass, he had could feel it heating up, lucky for him it was glass and not plastic, otherwise he would have melt it. All was going so great until that twerp decided to crash the scene. It was Zac, Luke's rival at Hammel. Not only was he annoying to Luke, but also he was a huge flirt, a rich kid who didn't mind announcing it every once in a while. It wouldn't really bother him if Luke wasn't so competitive about the girl factor. There were certainly quite a few girls that Luke had his eyes on at Hammel that Zac also felt the same way about. Neither one had managed to get their hands on the girls yet, but it infuriated Luke that Zac even tried. After all what could he do? Howl like a monkey about it? Luke could blast that monkey to smithereens.
But now as his beverage was bubbling in his hands, he broke the stare, let go of the glass and breathed out. There was no way Zac was going to ruin this gorgeous night for him. He needed to get up and find another part of the club to find girls from. He got up and walked away, praying for both of their sakes that Zac wouldn't notice him and mind his own business.
