Ben chuckled at Josh's statement about the food and said nothing else of it. He too already viewed Josef a friend. He looked an easy going guy, pretty down to earth.
Josh and Ben hadn't been the kind of friends that divulged in serious things. Sure, politics come up every once in awhile but those weren't exactly personal so Ben hadn't been privy to the attack on Josh and had he known it had been a meta attack, he was sure he would have been deeply affected by it. The people he was closest to were meta and the thought of them ever attacking someone just because they weren't special was unsettling. They were capable, to be sure, but he had faith that their lives hadn't been so upsetting that they would commit such crimes.
"It really does," Ben nodded, munching on his appetizer. He also agreed with Josh that Josef would find himself quick clients. Maybe he should go in too, Ben mused as his hand went down to his not too flat gut. Never too late to shed some pounds and learn how to defend yourself in the process, is it?
He simply nodded as Josh told Josef about his own startings, having heard it before when they had first met. And as a turnabout, Josef spoke of his job and when his question arose, Ben wasn't sure how to answer. Far as he was concerned the only person he knew would be qualified would be an accountant. But he had thought Cobalt dabbled in other fields, didn't he? He didn't voice out his opinion though, seeing as Josh would be more inclined to have the best answer.
As the evening wore on, their dinner came and they all chatted about various things till it was time to leave. Drinks were had and Ben was pleasantly buzzed and he looked to Josh and Josef. "Happy St. Paddy's day huh?" He chuckled.
