Name: Dante Quinn Buckley
Nicknames:Prefers to be called Quinn by his friends
Age: 15
Orientation:Though he's always leaned more towards the guys he'll do just about anyone
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Assimilation
The ability to memorize information after being seen only once. This can include almost all forms of media though some with the ability can not assimilate certain media forms. Assimilating new information will cause old information to be erased. While still untrained a meta can not control whether or not information is assimilated or what information is erased to make room for the new information. Training increases the control over erasure and assimilation of information. Side effects include headaches whenever accessing assimilated information and some with this ability experience amnesia due to loss of information.

The Details
Hair Color:Dark Brown, appearing black under certain lights
Eye Color:Dark Brown
Any Piercings?None
Any Tattoos?None
Any Scars?
A cooking accident left him with a barely noticeable scar on his left hand. When he was 10 he fell on the blacktop at his school and skinned his knees, resulting in a slightly discolored patch on both knees where the new skin grew. There are a few other scars dotting his body that he refuses to explain or even admit are there.
General Appearance:
Hair? What hair? Dante doesn't pay much attention to his appearance past anything but his clothes. His hair is only brushed when it begins to get knotted and the only indication that it's time for a haircut is when he can't read because his hair is in his eyes. He once tried to dye his hair blonde but turned it orange for about a week before he managed to get to a salon that could fix it. Needless to say it, he's never touched hair dye again. He has to wear contacts because he's nearsighted, but he's worked them to his advantage. He owns a few pairs of the colored costume contacts with his prescription and likes to wear them to change his eye color and screw with people's heads. Sometimes he puts on a little eyeliner too to further the mind screw since most people know him as never bothering with any sort of makeup. On a normal day he just gets up and pops in his normal contacts before getting dressed and will always look like he just rolled out of bed.
He's an inch short of being a normal height for his age and he's still hoping for that last growth spurt. He's slim and always has been since he can remember. Dante has never had any problems with his skin, causing some of his friends and family to describe him as 'The Genius with Flawless Skin'. He walks with a slight limp, favoring his left ankle.
His clothing style can be classified as something along the lines of classy-casual. He's not above laying around in his sweats all day in the dorm but he'd never let anyone catch him in them unless he was just having a really shitty day. He wears cheap knockoffs of the designer Italian stuff. Polo's and button ups are in, t-shirts are out. Jeans are fine as long as they fit him nicely—so no sagging and no over tight jeans.
Personality:
He just can't be troubled to deal with drama and would rather just sit there and listen to someone complain—filing away the conversation for later contemplation and probable blackmail material if it's ever needed—then actively take part in the drama. But that's only on the surface. He can be trusted to keep most secrets. However if you ever happen to piss him off you'd better start worrying about every single thing you ever told him. He's never outright cruel and prefers to deal with his enemies using a quiet and constant digging in, making them trust him and expel their secrets before he turns around and reveals his intentions. Watch out for him because he can hold a grudge till the dinosaurs come back. He likes to imagine his enemies dying in incredibly painful ways, like in the books he used to read about the Inquisition.
What most people never get the chance to see is that he has a huge heart. He keeps himself distant from people out of an innate fear of being hurt. His friends are very important to him and he'd do anything to keep them happy and safe. His family is another matter. He'd gladly die to protect his little sister, but almost every other member of his family can just kiss his ass for all the help they'll be getting from him.
He's very passionate about the things he cares about. When he's got his mind set on doing something he'll sit down and work on it until it's done—literally. He once almost starved when he was 10 because he had it in his mind to complete the latest video game his father bought him. He's passionate about his writing, which he's tried to devote at least an hour to every night. He's passionate about romance. Anybody who managed to catch him would be in for a nice surprise. He treats his lovers like their the top of the world, but the first time you annoy him he'll kick you to the curb as he simply has no patience for people he finds annoying. But the thing he's most passionate about is keeping his secrets.
His mother was Italian and his father was Irish. The only character trait he inherited from his mother was the tendency to speak really fast, and be really loud on the telephone. His father gave him a high tolerance for alcohol.

- books

- He has a slight addiction to coffee (it's his personal crack)
- writing
- good food (most of the pasta kind)
Dislikes:
- cooking (He used to love it, but he gave up learning when he got burned)
- bossy people
- homework (course it only takes a few minutes away from his schedule, but that's a few minutes he could be using for something productive!)
Strengths:He was incredibly smart even before his powers manifested. He can learn ideas really fast because of his power...
Weaknesses: ...practicing those ideas is entirely another matter though. Just because he knows how to do something it doesn't mean he can.
Fears:The only thing he's truly scared of is losing the really important memories
Secret: Every time he uses his power he can feel the information leaking out of his brain to make room for new stuff, and every time he almost has a panic attack at the thought of losing his memories of his sister. He just wishes the memories of his mother would go away already...

Any Other Important People:Grandma Evelyn who left all the money to her son when she died
History
He was born to Caden Buckley and his wife Elena. She was only 15 when she gave birth to him, and she always blamed poor Dante for ruining any chance she had as a model—which had always been her ambition. Caden loved the little baby boy though and it was only because of him that Dante never came to any harm.
He had to grow up emotionally and mentally very fast in his life. When he was only three his Grandma Evelyn moved in with them. She had been suffering from a fatal disease for several years, but the doctors said she still had a good ten years before she went. Yet...inexplicably only a few months after moving into the California beach house where they lived she died in her sleep. There had been a small investigation, but nobody suspected that Elena could have anything to do with it.
Evelyn had left everything to Caden and so the Buckley's decided to sell the small beach house and move into their new mansion in the Vermont mountains. From that point on Dante grew up accustomed to elegance and money. Anything he wanted he could get. Still, Elena remained as the ever present shadow threatening to smother him when Caden turned his back.
Dante went to public school, where he didn't make friends easily. He was a fast reader, and had a good memory. The other kids resented that he excelled where they didn't. He didn't try to make friends because he thought the other children to be boring and bothersome and finicky. He was a regular teacher's pet, and everybody hated him.
His father died around the same time his little sister was born. He died of an apparent heart attack, but later Dante would suspect that that was only a coverup. He also later discovered that his little sister Casey was the result of an adulterous affair between his mother and the gardener. His father's death left him unprotected, and that's when the abuse started. Dante has done the best he can to block out those particular memories, but no matter how hard he tries he just can't erase them. Elena never touched Casey though.
He found ways to deal with the abuse. The workers in the mansion never said anything and some even pretended it didn't happen. That doesn't mean they didn't try to help Dante in their own ways. When Elena kept food from him, Dante would sneak down to the kitchen where the cook would make him something to eat. When Elena hit him the maids would wrap his cuts and bruises. Dante was able to pretend nothing ever happened and so nobody at school suspected anything. The worst attack happened before he started the eighth grade. Elena had been drinking and in a fit of rage threw him down a set of stairs. He managed to escape with only minor injuries and a broken ankle. It didn't heal completely right and he now walks with a slight limp, favoring his left ankle, if he doesn't wear a brace to support it.
He started writing around this time to keep his mind off of the abuse. He focused on school more as another escape route.
His abilities first emerged at the end of the eight grade. He noticed that if he thought about a page he could remember every word on it. He also discovered that he could remember entire conversations in their entirety. He embraced this strange new ability but didn't tell anybody about it. He started popping aspirin and ibuprofen like candy to take care of the headaches while he practiced bringing up word for word recounts of his study materials and conversations.
He ended up in the hospital during his final exams since he had passed out because of an OD of those pills he had been chewing through like candy and ended up knocking himself into a three day coma. When he woke up the recruiters were already there.
Roleplay Example
Dante took a deep breath as he stared at the door. With a single glance over his shoulder to check that he wasn't being watched he started for the heavy oak door. He wasn't surprised that when he touched it it didn't slide open as easily as it did when the butlers opened it for him and his mother. His mother...the very thought caused his chest to ache again and he was now more determined to get the door open. Anything to escape her clutches. The door finally slide open and he went to exit, pausing in the doorway when he could hear the distant sound of the baby crying upstairs. He debating running up to take care of her. He knew his mother never would, it just wasn't in her character to be a loving mom or even to lower herself so far as to hold her own child. The crying stopped and Dante let out the breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. It was okay then, the nanny took care of it.
The door closed a lot easier then it opened. As soon as the heavy door was closed and he was assured of the fact that the woman he was trying to escape from was behind it, Dante hurried off towards the driveway path that would lead off the mansion grounds. He just had to get away for a while. Maybe if he was lucky the pain in his legs wouldn't hinder him too much and he would be able to make it to the town and sleep in the warmth for a while.
As it was, Dante enjoyed it now. It was almost Christmas and the snow falling was a sight that Dante always enjoyed. There was always something about the brightness of the white that reassured him. Everything was gonna be alright, the snow said. Not everything is dark, it told him. Dante needed that.
The first blackout occurred right there, almost halfway between the mansion and the gate. Dante could feel himself loosing consciousness and the only thought that crossed his mind was a silent prayer that he wouldn't freeze to death out here and end up leaving his sister unprotected.
