Powers:Greek Mythological human hybrid transformation.
The basis of this gift is unknown, but the main sense of this power is that he can turn into anything related to mythology. He currently can only transform into a Saytr from Greek mythology. Saytr's are actually very similar to humans in the fact that they are said to have a goat lower body and a human upper body with goat horns. Teddy seems to gain almost all the attributes associated with the creature that he can change into at the time. Currently with the Saytr's form he can gallop, jump relatively tall things with certain amount of ease, and even some speed from this form.
Now with this power as with any other power there are side effects. Some of the side effects that Teddy has gotten with this power is that he sometimes has the craving to eat things that aren't necessarily edible for humans, like tin cans or grass. Other qualities might be that he is more in tune with nature and enjoy nature more than a normal person would, since Saytr's are associated with the Greek god Pan. His transformation is pretty painful considering he has to reposition and basically redevelop, or grow new, muscles and bones. Currently it takes quite a bit of energy just to change into a Saytr but hopefully with more practice it will become easier for him. If he were to get hurt then all the injuries that he sustained while transformed would be reciprocated onto his normal human self. This power it will be restricted to things that are only in Greek mythology and have some human parts. It would include, but not limited to, saytr's, centaurs, minotarus, etc... but for now all he can do is the saytr form. Also, as a side note, even though he is able to gain certain attributes from these forms, it is mainly limited to only physical things. It would not involve mental, spiritual, or any other gifts that are normally associated with these creatures.

General Appearance: Teddy has the build of a swimmer. Or at least it's starting to look like that. He's spent a lot of time swimming and therefore his body has naturally started to shape that way. He has a lot of lean muscles so he doesn't look really muscular and can often be mistaken for very weak. His blond hair is shaggy and very unkempt. Also just usually judging from the clothes that he wears he often looks like a surfer. He doesn't surf but the plain t-shirts, cargo shorts and sandals usually give off the air of surfer.
Teddy often wears cargo shorts and a t-shirt. However, under this he must wear tight clothing, either a wet suit, bike shorts, or underarmor. This is because whenever he morphs he doesn't retain anything that isn't skin tight. It really is a pain in the butt, but it must be done unless he wants to end up naked somewhere. Theodore is about 5' 7" which is relatively tall for his age. This doesn't help with his awkwardness and feeling out of place. Although this does help with the swimmer build that he's developed. He's a good looking kid, he just doesn't know it yet and will hopefully figure it out soon.
Teddy has been told that his dark green eyes remind some people of seaweed or emeralds. At first this was offensive but after a while it didn't seem like such a bad thing. It gave him a unique eye color. Yes many people have green eyes but are a lot of them comparable to seaweed, or an emerald? I don't think so. Another thing that doesn't help him seem to fit in is his braces.
Personality: Teddy is a pretty shy person. He does like to meet new people, he's just not that good at it. Ted is a nice and likable person even though he's hard to get to know because he's so shy. People often feel able to confide in him, and he has become good at giving advice. Theodore is a very loyal friend, so once someone has friended him he will do almost anything for them, as long as you can get past his shyness and his guard. a lot of times he sesems to be a bit of a loner because he just plain has trouble expressing himself. The side effects from his powers don't seem to help any either because most people seem to avoid him because of his odd habits.
He is very into everything that he is good at. Ted is also very loquacious when he needs to be. This makes him very convincing and he often wins arguments quickly if he can present all the right facts. More so, if he has a hard time sorting things out, he usually will go down to a pool or lake to sort things out. Some people run, some play video games, some lift weights, some talk to others... Teddy swims. He finds it soothing and helps him clear his head. Another thing that he also enjoys doing is listening to music with like tasted individuals.
There are a few things that seem to contribute to Teddy's shyness, and those things are his height and his braces. Theodore feels awkward moving around buildings because he seems to always be running into walls or just plain doesn't know what to do with his seemingly oversized body. Or as he says "The wall just bit me." Teddy is probably one of the tallest in his class and that in and of itself makes him feel self-conscious. He only hopes that soon other people will be going through some growth spurts to catch up to his height.
His braces don't help any either. They are lined both top and bottom teeth but he doesn't like them. They hurt and he can't eat certain things that he wants to because of them. The doctors say he should be able to get them off within the next year or two but he still doesn't like having them on. Teddy thinks of them like zits that you can't get rid of. You know they're there and it just attracts everybody's attention to your mouth instead of to what you're saying.
He can be considered a sore loser. He isn't really, he just shuts down. This can be very frustrating for others when he shuts down because many can't seem to get through to him. Usually it seems the best way to deal with this is to let him just calm down by himself. When Teddy shuts down he will sometimes lock himself away in his room and read books. Many times it will be associated with his powers, but not always. Sometimes his little shut downs are looked at as being a tantrum.
Another thing about Teddy is that he is sometimes a gullible kid. Many kids, in his old school, would take advantage of his gullibility and get him into trouble so that they can get away with their troubles. Mostly it would seem like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. That could be very disheartening.

History
Teddy was born to two very loving parents, Charles and Lisa Callahan. He was the middle child wth one older brother and a younger sister. While he was growing up his family insisted on reading books together at night. He always enjoyed the stories about mythology and he could really never explain why. Teddy even seemed to become obsessed with it to a certain extent. His parents figured that it was just a phase and he would grow out of it. That never happened but it never affected his school work or his grades so his parents never seemed to mind very much.
His best classes were science and history classes. On his 14th birthday he happened to be at school and about to get framed for something he didn't do again. When the change started he fell to the ground shouting in pain. People that came around him didn't know what to do because he didn't look hurt. Once the pain had gone away his lower half was changed into that of a Saytr. It actually freaked him out so much that he ran all the way home. Once he got there he hid in his room for the rest of the day and once he calmed down he changed back to normal. Once he found out that he had powers he would practice them often and his isolation would continue to grow. No one in his family, so far, has shown any signs of having powers so he seems to be a bit of an outcast.
He told his family about what had happened day. At first they didn't want to believe him because of all the prejudice that was going around with people like Ted. When he showed his family his sister freaked out, his brother thought it was pretty cool, and his parents were concerned. They didn't know what to do, so they started doing research. His father was a vet who worked at the local Miami zoo and was able to find out quite a bit about what was going on with him.
His mother works at the local high school and has access to a very extensive library; and was able to get Teddy a lot of books about Saytr's. His brother just seemed intent on seeing it over and over again; however, his sister did seem intrigued by it once she got over the initial shock and freakiness of it. Just one week after his discovery of his talent a teacher came to his house talking about some place in Vermont called the Hammel Institute. He, at first, didn't want to go but his parents insisted that he try going there for a lilttle bit anyways. The arguing went on for hours but his parents wouldn't hear anything else and decided that he was going to go. He was going to start there as soon as everything was in order. As it currently stands Ted has only been there at the school for about a month. Right now he's not thrilled to be there but maybe he'll warm up to the place soon.

Ted was walking home one day when he decided to stop by a store. Since it was after school there were plenty of kids his age shopping for supplies they needed or with their parents helping with the grocery shopping. He walked past many of them, since he wasn't a very popular kid in his high school most didn't know him even if he knew them. Ameba was well aware of his powers by now and thought that it would be good to get more animals for him to practice with. Ted walked to the back where they had the stuffed animals and saw a few that he had. Currently his powers were limited to what he had at home. "Hey Ted what are you doing here?" He looked around to see who was talking to him. It was a girl that he had in his math class. It had the potential to become a very awkward conversation since he was currently holding a stuffed animal.
"Oh, I'm just, um, shopping for my mother's birthday present." He lied to her, setting the stuffed animal back down where he'd picked it up from. He hadn't been holding it long enough to acquire the animal to be able to transform into it. He started mindlessly sorting through the stuffed animals stopping here and there to "take a closer look" at the animal. "Oh, that's nice. Do you need any help? I want to get away from my mom. Grocery shopping, blah." She smiled at him asking. "Uh, no I don't see anything here that she would like anyways. But thanks for the offer." He smiled back at her and she looked a little disappointed at having to spend the time with her mother. "On second thought." He said not wanting to see her like this, "I'd love some help. Why don't we try a different store? I'll wait here while you tell your mom were leaving." He said and she wandered off to tell her mom.
They spent hours together going from store to store looking at the various stuffed animals that these stores had. They didn't find anything but they did find a card that was appropriate. They made a date to continue looking the next day. Ameba went back to a few of these stores and got some more animals that he wanted to try out. He went home that day locked himself in his room and practiced changing into the new animals.
