General Appearance:
Standing at just under six feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds makes Roland a rather average guy in terms of build. No one is going to pick him out of a crowd based upon his looks, but sometimes blending in isn’t always bad. His arms and legs are toned but not bulky and even his stomach bears signs of a athletic but not overbearing form. Overall Roland tends not to see just how good looking he can be to others and he carries himself with a sense of modesty.

He has a charming smile and even though his hair always looks like he just rolled out of bed, and won’t stay flat due to static electricity, he pulls it off quite well. The strands of hair fall into his eyes at times and he really only grew it out just to annoy his mother. Eventually he became genuinely fond of it and keeps it that way. A glimmering light bounces across his shifting blue eyes like he is always laughing and small crinkles form around his eyes when he grins.

Roland’s wardrobe is rather classy for a fifteen year old boy, but as his mother always said “Never going to find a woman if your dressed like a bum.” Normally Roland wears fitted jeans and a leather belt that hang close to his form. T shirts and an open button up shirt are usually seen covering him wherever he goes. Roland loves to wear necklaces and watched so expect to see some accessories. He always wears his single silver ear stud and two metal rings call his left and right middle fingers home. The rings look nice, but also allow Roland to extend his electrical forms energy outward should he need to.
Personality: Roland is a rather blunt and sarcastic guy at times, his mouth is fast as lightening when it comes to witty comebacks and it got him in plenty of trouble when he was young. He is carefree and fun loving, though he tends to be seen out of class more than in it. With a horrible tendency to procrastinate that is borderline lazy and a less than perfect respect for authority it makes it hard to get Roland to do something he doesn’t want to. When angered he tends to lash out, or simply transform into electricity and zip away into the nearest electrical outlet.

Now Roland isn’t a totally bad guy. He has a caring side and once he gets to know you and considers you a friend he would do anything to protect you. He defends his loved ones with a pure and noble heart no matter what the opposition. A jokester through and through, no prank is too big or too small for this guy to think he can pull off. He is rather sneaky and good at scheming, even if sometimes he misses things that are right in front of him.

Romantically Roland is a klutz, he is either completely oblivious to anyone’s advances or when he does catch on tends to think they are joking. The on time you can get him to shut is mouth is when he is around a girl he likes, transforming him from a smart mouth to a lead tongue. So he isn’t mister smooth, who is?

History

Roland was born in Los Angeles, California and lived a rather normal life. His father owned his own business, which he had started in the UK, and his mother was a rather well to do party planner for celebrity bashes. Roland and his older brother Gyanarus had everything they could really ask for, a home, toys, and two parents who loved them. The trouble didn’t start until Gyanarus turned thirteen and some weird stuff started going on with him. He began to sneak out at night and sleep through most of the days. Roland’s mother and father began to argue more and more until finally a few short weeks later Roland awoke to find his father and Gyan gone. His mother explained to Roland what had happened, well as much as you can explain to an eleven year old boy that his parents were now divorced and his brother had left with his dad. Roland started to rebel a bit after that, with his mother so busy and no one else to spend time with he started vandalizing local stores and basically just misbehaving as much as he could. A few years went by for Roland in a haze of aggression, hoping that something he did would make his mother start paying more attention to him.

Well Roland got his wish on his fourteenth birthday after he got a postcard from his father with a large picture of Switzerland on the front. In a few blocky sentences his father told him he loved him and he was sorry he left so suddenly but one day Roland would understand. Roland went off at the very sight of the card. He tore it to shred and went on a rampage across his room, as his anger swelled he felt something strange coursing through him, his body began to spark and sizzle and before he could realize what was going on his entire body had become electricity.
Roland reached out sending out blasts of condensed power from his body, popping light bulbs and causing everything electronic in his room to come to life. He fell back and collided with his computer, but instead of feeling himself connect with the monitor he slipped into it flying through the circuit boards and cables as he zoomed through the monitor to the power cord and eventually straight into the power socket. He felt his consciousness flowing through the walls from socket to socket, viewing the entire home in the blink of an eye as his body flew around. He saw his mother walk through the front door and Roland cried out in despair, feeling himself pour out of the nearest busted light socket and fall into a heap at his mother’s feet, finally whole and finally solid again.

Roland expected his mother to freak out, but she was amazingly calm. She explained everything to Roland from his past. His father was a meta-human, and so were Roland and his brother. Gyan was a shadow manipulator and after he first discovered his powers he began sneaking out to try to learn to control them on his own. Roland's father knew what was going on and had alerted the proper people to collect Gyan. Roland's father had gone to the Switzerland school when he was young and preferred for Gyan to go there as well, while Roland's mother though Hammel was the best choice being closer, so Roland's dad had accompanied Gyan to Hammel and after his son had spent a few years in the school, requested a transfer and left the country. Roland's dad had never expected Roland to have any gifts as well so he assumed the boy would be fine staying with his human mother. Roland heard the whole story in a stunned silence and a few days later he was on his way to Hammel with the knowledge of why his family had been torn apart.

Roleplay Example

Jake lead Katy into his dorm, pushing aside grapevines that hung in the doorway. They had been dancing at the Spring Fling but he wanted to show her his new toys he had spent the day inventing. He stepped into his usual hangout spot. The far left corner supported a rounded wooden bar with stools randomly arranged around it. The right side of the cabin was where the bunk beds resided, all but one were abandoned and sat collecting dust. Jake was the only son of Dionysus at camp right now so he had made himself at home. On the left wall, blinking and periodically playing music were arcade terminals. Pacman, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, even one of those stationary motorcycle games. Blinking on each of the screen was the same thing "High Score: MR. D." Jake's dad loved his arcade games.

The most noted aspect of his cabin however, or at least the thing Jake found most interesting were the walls. At first glance they seemed to simply be a catacomb of wood with grapevines encompassing them. But upon closer inspection, the walls were truly wine racks, holding the best wines every made from the best grape harvest since Ancient Greece. Jake always felt closer to his dad when he looked at the bottles, and had already chosen which were his favorites. Jake spread his arms out in an inviting gesture."Well, this is my humble abode. Sorry if it seems a bit jumbled, Mr. D wasn't known for his organizational skills.

This is a great app, but it needs a few tweaks. First, if you want him to be able to manipulate/shoot bolts of electricity, then he has to have Electrokinesis. That's perfectly acceptable to combine with Electric Form, though, so just add a bit about that into his powers section.

Also, Hammel would have discovered his brother's power within few weeks (a month at absolute most) of it manifesting (what was it?) and sooner if his father contacted someone about it. There wouldn't have been much of a choice about him going to Hammel at first, though he would have been allowed to transfer to the Swiss school later on.

And finally, please edit your display name to your character's first and last name, properly capitalized.
