General Appearance: Lia Fitzgerald is a curvaceous woman, there's no denying it. With feline eyes and a mischievous smile on her lips, she looks every inch the seductive madam. Her copper hair is often styled in loose waves around her face, framing the pale skin and flattering her face shape. She generally looks perfectly made up for any situation, and there's an in-joke in her family that Lia Fitzgerald never takes her make up off. It's a lie, since if you come to her door at 7, you'll see her in Pyjamas and a snuggie, with bleary eyes, but in public she believes appearance is extremely important.
Her dress style tends to be fitted dresses that flatter her curves. She isn't ashamed of her large bust line or her wide hips, and proudly shows them off when she is out. She's fond of high fashion and lovely shoes, as well as bras and underwear, being a Lingerie shop owner. Lia doesn't like overly skimpy clothes though, as she prefers to leave those things to other people's imaginations. She's not overly tall, a comfortable 5'6” in height, but often seems taller due to her love of heels. She has very lovely hands, with long tapered fingers and carefully manicured nails.
In short, she's a curvy, smart looking woman with a big smile and an equally big heart. She holds herself well, and walks comfortably in high heels, looking every inch the business woman.
Personality: Lia is a very playful woman with a good sense of humour. She likes to laugh and smile, and is generally a ray of sunshine when in a pleasant mood. She likes to hug people and greet them, and is tactile even to strangers. She's confident and self-assured most of the time, though, much to her dismay, this confidence is easily broken by an unexpected derisive comment. The problem is that she naturally takes things to heart, and even when someone doesn't know her, if she doesn't have someone else supporting her, a nasty word is shattering.
She's often quite outspoken and loud on her opinions, and is stubborn to a fault. She doesn't like to be told she's wrong, and will go out of her way to prove her point. Though, oddly, she IS open minded in what people like and dislike, she just doesn't like these things forced onto her. If you're religious, she's okay with that, and wont judge, but if you push that religion on her she will get defensive, for example.
She's also ever so slightly shallow, finding she judges people on their appearance and effort in dressing. It's all about first impressions, in her opinion. The people she hires to work in the Lingerie shop have to be stylish, and can have their own twists on sensible work wear, but if anyone came in in pasties and a mini skirt, they'd be told to go home. The same would go for someone in tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie.
Despite these flaws, she loves to make people feel beautiful. Making a customer feel supremely gorgeous as she leaves her shop is her ultimate goal. No matter how fat or how thin, black or white, lesbian or straight, she wants every woman to have a set of sexy underwear that make them feel untouchable. In general she's a friendly, driven woman with a slightly smutty mind every now and then, and a wicked laugh. She's a little over sensitive, and can be easily upset, but balances that out with her award winning motto: Everyone should feel beautiful.

History
Ophelia Howard was born on a stormy December night to an exhausted mother and a relieved father in Great Falls Birth Centre. The birth was long, but Ophelia was healthy and happy, and came home the next day, introduced to her older brother, Liam, who was 7 at the time. Liam thought Ophelia was awesome, and swore as a brother to protect her from harm. Martin – her dad, worked long hours as a physiotherapist in Great Falls. Her mother was a receptionist at the local animal shelter, and the family was comfortable, just not overly rich. They lived in the small town of Belt, on the outskirts where it was nice and quiet. Montana was beautiful, and Ophelia grew up with the feeling of freedom. She went to Belt High School, then aimed to go to MSU to study business. From the tender age of 12 she already decided she was going to own a shop that made girls feel beautiful, because some of her best friends felt so miserable about themselves.
As a high school student, she was friendly, but not entirely popular. She didn't take part in sports very often, preferring to play violin or watch old movies with classic screen sirens and wistfully crush on them. She realised she was a lesbian aged 16, but refrained telling her family in fear that Liam wouldn't like her any more. Her brother was her guardian and one of her good friends, even now he'd gone into the Physio business with her dad. She just didn't want to lose him, or her parents, for that matter.
Once out of Belt, she realised how much she missed the countryside. MSU was so busy and while she could still see the mountains and rolling hills, she pined for the freedom of her home. Still, she diligently studied Business, and gained a degree in it, followed by a masters in accounting. While there, she embraced her sexuality, and it was there she met Felicity Fitzgerald, her roommate. Felicity was studying Philosophy and the pair of them bonded over a lot of common likes and dislikes. It was only when she stayed on to get a masters and Feli decided she'd probably go back home that she realised she actually REALLY liked her, and spent hours on the phone talking to her.
They agreed to get an apartment together, just till Ophelia got her final exams done, then head back to Belt as a couple. Felicity had realised Philosophy wasn't for her, and had, in the short time away from MSU, decided to become a cake maker. She explained she'd always been good at baking and cooking, and Lia envied her talent.
Soon enough, Ophelia came out with a bang to her parents when she returned home with her girlfriend of a year. Liam at first felt awkward, and Lia was heartbroken, but after a while, he came to terms with his sister's sexuality. Her parents were open, and loved Feli like their own. It was all great, at least for a while. But Lia wanted to open her shop, and she knew Belt wouldn't be right for her, so they moved to the capital – Helena. With her savings now matured, the pair of them bought the first shop, and using her business degree, she began to make a name for herself. Peekaboo, she called the shop, and decided there and then to make it about something both she and Feli cared about. Lingerie.
At first, business was slow and they both relied on Feli's cake orders to keep them going, the woman baking long hours in the night and delivering the cakes to various homes around the city. But soon, word spread about the busty red haired woman with the beautiful custom bras and underwear. How she worked hard to find bras in the right size and how to compliment even the flattest bust. How the bras were so unusual, and how she catered to different tastes, how there were beautiful corsets and bustiers, and pretty nightware to woo any male or female. Peekaboo began to boom, and soon she needed to hire on other staff.
The women basked together in their new, comfortable existence. They bought a few pets, a cat named Merlin first, who was a rescue kitten, and ever so slightly tubby. Then came Nana and Aurora. But it was only after they realised they'd actually like a house, rather than an apartment that the biggest change came. It was a week after easter, and Lia was flicking through new bras by different designers when Felicity presented her with a cake. The cake had iced words on top that simply said: “Will you marry Me?”
This was all well and good, but as we all know, most states don't approve gay marriage. Though Lia said yes, it was another year before the pair of them realised they wanted their wedding now. They took a flight to Vermont and were married in the spring, outside with floral decorations. Lia wore a beautiful green dress, and Feli a Sky Blue gown. Their families were there, and a handful of friends. Most importantly, they were happy.
While in Vermont, they realised they loved the place, not just for the legality of gay marriage either. It was mountainous again, and the pair decided to move there after they returned from their honeymoon. Peekaboo in Helena was kept, and Lia carefully made sure that she hired a manageress to take care of the shop, and kept on the staff that had been there before. Then the house and shop search began.
Tired of living over Ophelia's store, the Fitzgerald's found a lovely cottage – a large kitchen with roses round the front door in a small town called Pilot Ridge. It wasn't too loud, but was busy enough for Lia to viably open a new branch of Peekaboo there. The cottage was far on the outskirts – private and beautiful. It was also quirky, and the two women willingly settled there. Feli returned to custom cake baking for the local area, extended beyond Pilot Ridge, and Lia opened Peekaboo in the downtown area, close to the mall, but not in it. In an added bonus, there was accommodation over the shop, so the Fitzgeralds decided to rent it out to students at the local colleges.
Aside from an accident with a kitchen knife, and the occasional homophobic attack, the two women are blissfully happy. And they hope to keep it that way.
