Something About Time (Carter.)

Really Carter should be thanking Odion, for the fact that he hadn’t stolen that gaudy necklace he wore – it was truly disgusting that his brother wore the same one. Maybe he should have taken one, then at least you would be able to tell who was who without much struggle. As it was, Odi decided it would be much more fun to not use his powers to swipe something of value from somebody else.

It was not fun getting caught.

Of course Odion was obsessed with Carter, everyone here was too full of themselves to think otherwise. Odi’s dark blue eyes swivelled over to the blonde, shutting the locker door. “It wasn’t locked,” he said, not answering the question at all as his British accent came through, and he couldn’t help but cringe at Carter’s French accent. The last name made sense now. No, Odion wasn’t in on the gossip loop, but he did like to sneak a peek at everyone’s personal files which Hammel kept top secret.

A clever little grin crossed Odion’s face suddenly, a stark contrast from the blank look he had been giving Carter before. He made to move past the other, he had his prize, there was no reason to linger. If Carter was too stupid to notice what had gone missing, the better things would be for him.

Odion considered Carter for a moment, wondering just interesting he could be. But really, he seemed exactly like everyone else around here, and Odi couldn't be bothered to care about everybody. "Stupid enough to leave it unlocked," he said without any emotion at all. He was a brick wall that couldn't be broken unless you knew exactly which nerve to hit, and Carter? Well, other than unknowingly having the same accent as an ex of Odi's, didn't have anything on him.

Odion wasn't worried that Carter was following him, merely annoyed. Odi checked the watch idly, before letting his arm lower again. He hadn't been caught, not yet. "I could," he lied smoothly, "but that wasn't the point, of which you wouldn't understand." But his words seemed to fall on thin air, and Odion felt that pang he usually did when he felt crossed.

Stopping time, Odion turned back around through the freeze frame which held Carter, heading in the other direction. He was mere paces in front of Carter once time resumed, making it seem like he would've appeared from thin air. He didn't say a word, but since Carter was so sharp, perhaps he would notice the necklace Odion was now wearing. Oddly enough, it matched Dom's...

The hope was that Carter would think he had phasing abilities or something of the sort, which was in Odion's opinion, a smaller contender when compared to time manipulation. Time was stronger than any other power really, and it only seemed fitting that he was in possession of it, and contrary to popular belief, Odi felt no responsibility to the idiocy of those around him. If he could save himself, so could everyone else.

Odi just kept smirking as Carter kept talking. It wasn't about fighting or tattling, it was about who could play the game best. His eyebrow should've twitched at hearing the French, but instead twitched at the absurd invitation he had been given. No, Carter wasn't as observant as Odion had hoped he would be. This wouldn't be interesting after all.

Or would it?

"S'il tu plait," Odion scoffed, and then a small smirk danced across his face and his otherwise dark eyes brightened up a bit as though taking the bait. "Il me fera plaisir." It was better than any wink, and perhaps, this could turn into one of the most interesting things Odion had tried in a long time. Besides, it wasn't very often that he had the opportunity to show off his native tongue and pretty accent.

"Voulez vous couhez avec moi is a little over used, no?" He would stand right here until Carter decided to be out of sight.

Odion wasn’t counting Carter out just yet, not completely. Perhaps he was interesting in other ways that weren’t linked to objects. However, most people weren’t like that, most people had meaningful objects around them and didn’t understand the mind games, which were a lot more fun and kept Odi a lot more interested.

Charming wasn’t something Odi usually was, but anyone could be anything if they wore the right mask. Carter turned back to him like someone had dragged him back via a fish hook in his mouth. Odion had a small smile on his face. Nothing to say he was overly interested, but enough to say Carter was getting fucked.

“I’ve met her,” he said, having been to many place around the world, “she doesn’t appeal to my interests.” He wasn’t as much of a bum as Carter thought. If he were to insult Odion in French though, Odion would happily return the favour. “I’m sure,” he said, short and to the point. Carter’s dorm was probably full of all kinds of interesting toys. “Nous verrons,” Odion said, head cocked to the side in speculation. In the end, he would steal whatever he wanted.

And if he played his cards right, it wouldn’t be the first time he captured someone’s heart.

It wasn't cash that Odion was interested in taking. "C'est depende," Odi said, flourishing his hand in a wave. "Depende de ce que vous voulez voir." Odion couldn't make anyone see things the way he wanted them to, he could only offer hints and see where those brought him.

In the end, Carter would find a lot more missing than his money, or that the fact that somebody wasn't in his bed. His peace of mind, for instance.

"Well that has been made perfectly clear," Odion said, trying to get the upper hand once more in his own way. He felt like he had the right cards, now he just had to play them right.
