A Moth to the Flame (Eva)

Politics was something of a fascination to Eva; there was so much emotion, so much passion, and, often, so much fear and hate. Honestly, it was often dizzying and the heiress had a few pills in her bag in case she needed to find a way to settle her head. Swallow in case of attack.

She had known Mr Bernstein was speaking. It had not been her sole reason for venturing out without her bodyguard but it had helped make the decision. He had spoken well; it wasn't really a surprise, she could picture him practising to Dr Neville, getting his advice, taking it all to heart and changing what the good doctor needed to be changed.

Clapping her hands along with everyone else, Anastasia had stayed back to talk quietly to those she could <feel> would be open to suggestion; there were a number of pro-meta candidates and the empath had money and connections.

Unwilling to acknowledge the human first, it was hard to miss Joshua's <guilt/anxiety> as it stuck to her skin and made her feel oddly irritated. He felt guilt then? Good. It had been some time but being shunned by a human was... oddly hurtful.

Managing a smile, Anastasia turned on one heel when he greeted her. "Mr Bernstein," she said politely. "I'm quite interested in politics. I suppose that seems a little cliche, though." Managing a slight smile, she turned to face him fully. "You spoke very well, I thought. It's a difficult thing, but humans are often more likely to listen to one of their own when it comes to minority causes."
