"That might work for someone with a higher IQ," Nick continued to taunt the other man. "But for you..." He trailed off leaving Josh to finish the sentence in his head. Normally, he might not have been so upfront with his insults. But since his head still hurt, and he really wanted to hit this idiot again he was forced to drastic measures.
"Offensive term?" he asked in mock surprise. "I think it's the best your kind deserves. You're not humans. You're disease beasts threatening our way of life. I'm not the poisoned one."
He reached behind Josh for the door handle, opening it and shoving Josh once more in the same motion. "But I can't expect a wit-less, irrelevant simpleton such as yourself to understand the abomination that your kind has shoved upon the human race."
Out on the sidewalk in front of the building, Nick continued to glare at the other man. He was getting disappointed with Josh's total lack of backbone. Although the man's earlier comment about using violence instead of words stung a little, over the years Nick had accepted for the most part that physicality was just the was he was. After all, his father didn't raise a wimp. And it a solider didn't always have the means or the time to negotiate.
Sometimes a punch in the face was just what the enemy needed.
