A quick jog through campus. (CLOSED!)

[Cristobal Autieri]

Cristobal was wearing his jogging attire. A district two ‘Nike Air’ tracksuit. He jogged through the court yard, just when he tripped over his other foot. Only to land upon his face, the reason why he decided to jog was because he had eaten a lot that day. He was feeling really depressed because his day was horrible. For first period, he got hit three times in his head in dodge ball. That clears it for Phys Ed. For sixth period, someone spilled hot coffee all over his favorite cardigan. After three hours of finding a new cardigan, he already missed his next four classes, which granted him a detention. Isn’t this supposed to be some special school? It just seems like a very strict boarding school.

After getting up from tripping, Cristobal moved to the nearest bench, with the slightest sight of a very beautiful girl. But he didn’t mind it, he just kept on, rubbing his hurt knee. Despite his hurt knee, he had a hurt butt. The bench was oddly hard, and uncomfortable. Wishing he was in his warm dorm, and in bed. But he was outside in the Vermont weather at seven o’clock at night. But what was that girl doing out at this time? She looked petite and innocent, but he wasn’t the one to judge.

Cristobal was highly angry about the horrible day he’s been having so far. That he even neglected to do his homework. But at least he got some studying in.

[Avinea Jale]

Avi had been running. It was completely obvious from her attire. From the over sized black hoodie sweater, the bright blue running shorts and the running shoes on her feet she was completely dressed for running. If you couldn't tell from her outfit, there was also the amount of sweat and the Ipod buds in her ears to show you. Avi had her long blond curls up in a ponytail that was keeping it out of her face. She had every intention of running some more, she had just needed a break. She wasn't really paying attention when someone tripped. Right in front of her. Avi had to stifle a laugh, but you could hear the music pounding through the earbuds.

Avi watched with a silent eye as the boy came over and sat down on the bench next to her. She was still watching him as he was obviously in pain. Turning down her music just the slightest Avi gave a small smirk. “You alright? You didn't break anything with that fall did you?” Avi waited patiently for the male to continue, keeping an open ear on her music. She smiled over at him and looked again. “It looked like it hurt. You really need a different pair of running shoes those are made for an indoor track.” Avi smiled over at the kid. She was only trying to be helpful.

Though, He might soon find her to be less then that. Avi gave a small smirk and introduced herself to the kid. “ I'm Avinea, call me Avi though.”

After looking up, Cristobal heard a girl’s voice. She was so caring about him, after being a random student in the cold Vermont night. “I’m fine, thank you... Avinea? Beautiful name.” He said this, before she commented on his shoes. But she was right, he didn’t have the appropriate type of shoes for track running. All he had was new-balance, that was made for IN DOORS. Was she a pro at this? Cristobal didn’t know, but she’d make a good friend. He didn’t see her face, so he just kept looking at the ground that revealed itself below him.

“Why are you a pro on sneakers or something?” He asked her with a bit of a flirt, adjusting his scarf that was specifically made for the fall Vermont weather. Tucking it in his hood, which was over his head, and covering his tattoo. He looked towards her with a smile, and had a confused look. “So what grade are you in here?” Cristobal asked, getting comfortable in his comfy sweater. All he could see of Avinea, was her beautiful hair formed in a nice pony tail.


Cristobal got up, and his knee suddenly cracked, sending him towards the ground. GOD DAMNIT! He thought, as he sat back up on the bench, after falling. He Looking towards Avinea, just sitting there.

Avi only nodded at the thank you. She was only being polite but it was still slightly amusing. She could hear the music in her ear and was about to get up again but doubted she could, now that she had found something interesting. Yes Avi was easily distracted if you haven't already guessed. When he said out her full name she frowned and shook her head. It was too long and too confusing for people to pronounce. Avi was better. "It is Avi.” Avi gave a small joking, but semi serious glare to the guy. He would call her by her right name.

Avi grinned when he asked if she were a pro at sneakers. “ Nope I just run a lot.” As if it wasn't obvious already. Avi smiled as the wind picked up slightly and spiraled around her. To her the wind was never cold, it was always the right temperature and it was behaving today, what a shocker. When asked her grade Avi smiled ans replied, “Junior. You?” Avi raised an eyebrow and thought. He might have been a bit younger then her. He was a funny sight though all together in his sweater.

Avi watched in amusement as he went to stand up and then fell face forward. What troubles did this boy have with falling? Avi smirked just the tiniest bit and as he immediately sat up on the bench. “ You might want to move your sweater a bit so you can see. That way you wouldn't fall. “ Avi smiled and tried again to not laugh as she just watched him and listened to her music. “I promise it isn't that cold out. If it was I wouldn't be wearing shorts I can tell you that.”

Cristobal liked how she responded to every question he asked, she was a good person in his eyes. Maybe or maybe not, he has been talking to her for only a few seconds. Cristobal didn’t mind that she was wearing shorts, which made her an adventurer in his eyes. Cristobal smiled at her, once more. So he could make his escape back to his dorm. “It is Avi.” She joked, but it didn’t crack Cristobal, it just made him curious. Ohh, she wanted me to call her Avi, not Avinea… Go it! He thought, shuffling on the uncomfortable bench.

After Cristobal asked his question, Avi, gave a reply. “Nope, I just run a lot.” She said to Cristobal, informing him of his wonders. He nodded to her answer, and turned left and right. Cristobal scoffed, whilst she said something about her grade. Leaning in closer, Cristobal wanted to get a better sound of her information. “Junior. You?” Avi said, with an unseen raised eyebrow. Cristobal sighed with relief, finally a hot junior girl, this couldn’t get any better.

Cristobal rubbed the beard that he had, which was going to be fully grown in a couple of years. “You might want to move your sweater a bit so you can see. That way you wouldn’t fall.” That’s it! She was a genius! Cristobal shuffled his sweater, and he had clear view of his feet and everything. She was a running pro; she just wouldn’t admit it… minx . But she wasn’t done talking, “I promise it isn’t that cold out. If it was, I wouldn’t be wearing shorts, I can tell you that.” She told him, informing him of Vermont’s weather. “Thank you for that useful information!” Cristobal said in slight sarcasm, just to make her laugh.

[Avinea Jale]

Avi watched as he tried to figure out what she was saying. Wasn't he able to get that she wanted him to call her Avi? It really was a much simpler name then Avinea. She didn't understand why her parents had given her that name, but was okay with it since her father had named her that. Her mother on the other hand wanted to name her Bianca. Avi shuddered at the thought. She was definitely not a Bianca. Anyone could see that. Avi watched as the male shifted on the bench. She wondered what as making him so uncomfortable here. It might have been that eh fell flat on his face multiple times, or it might have been the fact that he was dressed as if it were winter. Avi didn't consider it winter until here was snow on the ground.

Avi watched as he nodded to her answer regarding whether she was some sort of running genius. Sitting back on the bench she wondered just what she should do since she should really be running and she wasn't. Avi looked over at the boy and raised an eyebrow as he scoffed at her words then sighed at them again for the corresponding answers to the questions he had asked her. He never did answer her question and she sighed wondering what was up with the weird boy. What was his problem?

Avi frowned when he took her advice and returned it with a sarcastic tone. He wasn't someone who was a person that Avi would normally associate with. She knew him from somewhere, but his attitude was just making her mad. She was just being friendly, what was wrong with that? She could have just laughed at him and gone off, she could have just given up on him and went on with her run. She tried to be sociable, tried to be good, but this guy was pushing her nerves just the slightest. It you couldn't tell by the look on her face, it might be apparent in the small wind building up around her.

Cristobal watched her thinking, and he took off his shirt, leaving him showing his six packs. He smiled at her, and looked around, what did it matter? He couldn’t die of a cold, he had a perfect immune system, and a perfect body too, but that was beside the point. Cristobal went to a nearby tree, and did fifteen pull ups on it. He was able to make his muscles bulge, just to show off to Avinea. Avi… Avi… He couldn’t remember calling that, Avi was just way too hard for him for some reason. And to think of it, Avinea is easy. “So what can you do?” He asked, being quite curious. He had mini beads of sweat dripping down his face, due to the fact that he was running, and that he was doing a little show for Avinea.

Quickly, he slid his T-shirt back on, holding his sweater. Cristobal took out his new phone, and texted a couple of numbers. He smiled at the text he received, and he obviously had some from his roommates, about some parties. But Cristobal wasn’t a party type of guy; he was just a stay in, and study guy.

She’s sixteen, he could probably take her to prom, if he asked her ahead of time, and they would make a great couple a well. They would be junior sweet hearts. Cristobal looked over towards Avinea with a shy but cute smile. “Do you find me attractive?” Cristobal asked, even though he asked in a wron way. Damn it! That was way too random.

Avi wasn't really paying attention to the other as he started doing something. In fact she was basically daydreaming. It was a nice dream really. She was running and suddenly the wind had picked her up and she was flying as she was running. It was often something she dreamed of, a fancy of hers. She knew it wasn't possible. Her power wasn't nearly strong enough, but it was nice to dream. Sighing Avi was only jolted out of her daydream as she heard Cristobal speaking. What could she do? Avi blinked. When did he take his shirt and sweater off? Wait what did she miss? Just chuckling she shook her head. “I am an Aerokinetic.” The boy was crazy.

Avi watched as he slid his shirt back on. She wondered for what reason he had taken it off in the first place. It didn't make sense to her and she was a bit hesitant to ask. Before she could say anything the guy went back to his phone. Just shaking her head smiling at the odd situation that had arisen she went back to listening to her music getting up and stretching her long legs and arms doing a back bend before standing back up again. Music was very helpful to concentrate.

Avi was just about to start running again when he asked a very blunt question with an odd look on his face. Well he wanted to be blunt so would she. “Not really.” Avi grinned and just looked at him. “ Any more random questions?” She would answer them just as bluntly as he asked them. It was not as if she really had anything else to do. Besides this was amusing. She wondered just how he would react to not being her type.

Avi had a confused look on her face, but she still looked at Cristobal. After Cristobal slid all of his garments on him, he looked towards the female, sitting on the uncomfortable cold bench. “I’m an Aerokinetic” She stated, looking at him. What the fuck hell is an Aerokinetic? The innocent shut in asked himself. She was still listening to music, but Cristobal still wasn’t concerned about that either.

“Not really.” Avi said, whilst a sly grin swept across her face. Cristobal looked towards the side, kind of feeling ashamed. This was a first; no girl has ever said that they weren’t interested in him. He was the perfect nerd, “Any more random questions?” Avi said being highly blunt. Cristobal couldn’t hide the fact that she hurt his feelings, but he kept looking away. Due to the coldness, Cristobal’s nose went swollen red.

“Nah, no more, and why aren’t you interested in me? That’s a first,” Cristobal asked, and then stated. He refused to believe that she wasn’t interested in him, and he started randomly shaking his head. He stopped, and looked at her for a bit, but it wasn’t true, she had to be BRAINWASHED!

Avi watched as Cristobal looked confused about her powers. Was it really hard to know what she was? Sighing she asked the breeze to work its self up just enough to show him. She felt a warm breeze hit the two of them and sighed in pleasure as it slowly went away. “I just made that breeze you felt.” Smiling a bit she flipped the song on her Ipod and looked back over at him, who seemed to be staring at her. “I control the wind .”

Avi grinned as she said the words that he obviously did not like. Well what did he get for asking right out of the blue. Honestly he should have know better, if he was going to ask her so bluntly she would give him an equally blunt answer. As she saw him not looking at her she silently swore to herself. She couldn't have hurt the guys' feelings right? It wasn't as if he was that shallow...was he? Shaking her head Avi just sighed and listened to her music, making sure to keep her big mouth shut.

That was until he asked her that. Standing straight up Avi contemplated running away. Cristobal didn't look like the endurance and speed type of guy. He was more the sprint person. Looking him up and down Avi contemplated what she was going to say before looking away and then looking him straight in the eye ready to answer him with full honesty. “ You want the truth?”

Avi gave a grin before continuing. “You're too tall, really lanky, and you take your shirt off for no apparent reason only to put it back on soon there after.” Honestly that confused her and she didn't like to be confused. “ Also there is the fact that I am beginning to suspect you have a big ego, which I can prove, by your previous comment.” Avi took a breath before continuing one more time. “I am sure there are girls, or guys-whichever you prefer, out there that will be completely into you. I am not one of them.”

“ Plus you smell funny.” Avi hated Axe. It smelled weird and it shouldn't be on guys. Their natural scent was much better. It was the same with perfume on girls. It just was weird.

Cristobal felt a breeze hit him in the face, only to shield his eyes by closing them. “I just made that breeze you felt.” She said, smiling which was very cute. “I control the wind,” She stated, Cristobal laughed on the inside, and read body movements? Cristobal thought, looking towards her once more.

She grinned towards Cristobal, which made him very confused, if she liked him or not. Not to be mean, Avi was the bitch type. She didn’t even shield her bluntness and Cristobal hated that. Throughout his years at Hammel, he’s had sex four times. And two times with the same girl. They were nice to him; even the guys were nice to him. Cristobal wondered if she were telling the truth, because he needed a girlfriend, and fast at that. “You want the truth?” Avi asked, while Cristobal nodded his head, sitting back. He rubbed his nose, because he started to feel the numbness of the cold.

Cristobal watched her, and listened in close, and his feelings were pretty hurt. Despite the fact that Cristobal was a complete shut –in , and he actually decided to be confident for once, but that didn’t work.

“I’m sure there are girls, or guys-whichever you prefer, out there that will be completely into you. I am not one of them.” She said, being as blunt as usual. Cristobal saw her face give off a deranged look, as she looked at him. “Plus you smell funny.” Avi stated after blowing up on him. Cristobal sniffed himself, which could be really mistaken for him starting to cry. But Cristobal wasn’t a crier.

“First of all, I came out here to work out, so I took off my shirt, and did a quick exercise. Plus, I can’t get sick, so it wouldn’t really matter if I had clothes on or not, and could you not be such a fucking bitch about everything? Have you ever heard of sugarcoating things? Man, you must’ve had no friends when you were little. Also, I don’t really talk to girls, it was my first time trying, and I obviously failed at trying to be confident, and what’s wrong with smelling good!?" Cristobal let out his mind, which he really didn’t want to do.

Avi watched his reaction and his shuddering to the breeze. It was a warm breeze why was he shuddering. IT didn't make sense to her. Should could have summoned a freezing cold one. Instead she was trying to be nice. Was he laughing at her? Frowning Avi made herself look away from him.

Avi was blunt, it was true. She didn't believe in hiding the truth. He had asked for it and he got it. If he didn't want it he should have told her. She could have lied and let him down easy. Nope. Avi was right. There was no other fact that mattered. He looked cold actually. Served him right for showing bare skin in the fall. Avi smirked at the thought that he just might get a cold from his little display. Sighing she shook her head at his quick assurance he wanted the truth.

Avi watched Cristobal as he listened to her. She saw his face fall and just made her mouth into a very thin line. He asked! What was she supposed to do? Just let him talk it out? He honestly wasn't her type. Avi valued Honesty. She thought that most people did as well. She wasn't intentionally being mean and she wasn't intentionally being annoying. This was just her. If you didn't like it you could leave her alone. She would have no qualms about that at all.

Avi didn't blow up on him. He asked for the truth and she gave it. She watched his reaction as he looked as if he was going to cry. Honestly she didn't meant to make him cry, but what could she do? Weren't guys not supposed to cry because of things like this? Wasn't it against some sort of guy code? Still she couldn't actually believe she made him cry. It just seemed... weak.

Avi listened to Cristobal as he spoke, getting angry for no reason. The things he was saying though, those were starting to get Avi angry. A angry wild wind picked up as she listened to him, blowing her curly hair all over, a dark angry gleam in her eye. “I came out here to exercise as well. I was taking a break and took pity on the falling boy.” Avi smirked not aware of how she might look. “ I could have left that very instant. But instead I tried to help.” Shaking her head Avi's mouth turned into a grimace at the name calling. “Really you can't think of anything more suitable? I am sure you can use that brain of yours to think. Oh wait you don't really have one. ” Avi just rolled her eyes. She had heard worse from Zac. Then he went and told her to sugarcoat things. “ It's not right to sugarcoat things. It isn't honest and I don't like lying.” Avi looked at the trail as she stood up getting ready to leave.

What. The. Fudge?

Who the Hell was he to talk about her childhood? The dude had crossed a line and he could now go die in a hole from tripping somewhere for all Avi cared. “Why do you care what my childhood is like? You don't have the right to know.” Avi rolled her eyes at this being a first for him to talk to girls and trying to be confident. He shouldn't have tried. It just made him look like an egotistical jerk. Almost as bad as Zac. Almost.

“Well here is some news for you. If you didn't try, then I maybe might have liked you more. You acted like a snot and I am not particularly fond of snots.” Avi turned her head away from him and put her iPod buds back into her ears getting ready to run again. “A. You don't smell good. B. I like girls anyway so you didn't really stand a chance. Not with that attitude.” Avi gave a small smirk and started to run away, music blasting with no intention of returning or looking back.

Cristobal stood there as she cursed him out, he buried his ears from his hands, whilst she was babbling on and on. She looked discomforted, as if Cristobal was crying, but he wasn’t, he was as normal as ever. He looked towards her, and gave her another yawn, whilst she started babbling on about her childhood, was she that fucking angry? Grow the fuck up, bitch. Then she started talking about snots, and Cristobal was practically ready to walk off, but she beat him to it. “WELL FUCK YOU TOO!” Cristobal said, walking back towards his dorm, whilst she walked off.
