Thanks for visiting my Plot Page! Below, please find all of my characters (they're all currently active) and what sort of relationships/interactions they're looking for. If you'd like to thread, post here and we'll try to come up with something interesting!
Look forward to hearing from you!
Tanner Larson
A quick refresher: Tanner can manipulate fire, he performs at La Maison Magnifique (see Cynthia DeMato for an explanation of what this is), and he can usually be found rehearsing at the House or cooking up something tasty. He's a nice kid, not much of a party animal (though can be convinced/dragged), and certainly a loyal friend. Just don't ask him to join you in the pool!
Friends
Tanner is a typical guy: he'll get along with anyone who isn't too high-strung.
Enemies
Tanner isn't used to having enemies; as a kid who generally blends in, he rarely finds himself in the middle or something. But now that he's coming out of his shell and performing at the House, perhaps there's some competition in the air?
Romance
Tanner has never been in a relationship, and in fact has only had a few crushes. That said, he is a teenage guy, so it's not like he wouldn't be open to pursuing any options that may come up.
Elizabeth Greene
Elizabeth is one of Pilot Ridge's city councilors. Now in serving her fifth year in office, Elizabeth is trying to make a name for herself as a serious but accessible councilor. She has ambitions beyond local office but has yet to make any sort of announcement. She is an empath.
Friends
Elizabeth is generally a nice, friendly person, so most find her fairly easy to get along with. Her power of empathy makes it so that she can be in-tune with the feelings of others and respond accordingly. Most of her friends she knows from her work - her staff, other councilors and local leaders, etc. - but also from local shindigs like the annual holiday party.
Enemies
Every politician has enemies, and Elizabeth is no exception. As a prominent Democrat, she knows she has a target on her back placed there by the city's Republican Party whenever an election rolls around. That said, she is always cordial, as she does not want to end up with a reputation for pettiness or negativity.
Romance
Happily married and with a young daughter, Elizabeth is spoken for in this department.
Constituents
Lastly but perhaps most importantly, all residents of Pilot Ridge are her constituents and, as such, important to Elizabeth's work. When someone has a problem, she wants to know about it. She doesn't just meet Pilot Ridge residents when campaigning, but also at local community events, during her office hours, and at city council meetings. She considers all students of Hammel - even those who cannot vote in Vermont - to be her constituents as well, as she is a happy alumnus of the school and understands that local goings-on affect the student population, as well. If your characters wants to meet with her for whatever reason, let me know and we can set up a thread to make that happen.
Staff
As a city councilor, Elizabeth has a small staff and perhaps a few interns (just to give them the experience of working in local government). The staff knows her better than anyone else save for her husband and daughter. If you're interested in having one of your characters work for her, let me know and we may be able to work something out!
Cynthia DeMato
Known by many simply as Madame, Cynthia runs La Maison Magnifique, Pilot Ridge's sole house of Burlesque. She is a stellar performer, craves attention, and loves to sing and dance. She is witty, outspoken, and general disdainful of men due to her ex-husband.
Friends
Cynthia gets along best with Type A personalities, as she is one herself. She enjoys dancing, working at the House, and going out for drinks.
Enemies
Cynthia won't get along well with anyone who tries to steal her spotlight, so to speak. There are also a few people in town who aren't exactly thrilled with there being a House of Burlesque at all, so she's gotten into arguments with them, as well.
Romance
Romance is not something Cynthia is currently looking for. She is still rather disdainful of men because her (now ex) husband cheated on her with one of her dancers, and she assumes (not necessarily incorrectly) that most men are similar. Someone would have to try rather hard to break through this barrier.
Employees
Most of all, Cynthia is looking for new employees over at the House. She needs more dancers and singers, some waitresses and bartenders, and maybe some stagehands. She's a good boss - fair, but she pushes her employees and performers alike to always try their hardest. Just don't cross her and you will be fine. If you want your character to work at the House, just let me know and I'll add them to the list!

Barbara Robinson
Barbara is the unpleasantly-plump, sarcastic owner of Shake, Sprinkle, and Roll, Pilot Ridge's 50's-themed ice cream parlor. She's quick to anger, sharp as a whip, and loves a good laugh.
Friends
What friends? But seriously, Barbara has a few friends, but her attitude makes it so that most people only enjoy her in smaller doses, a feeling that is often mutual. Anyone who wants to be friends with Barbara would have to be able to appreciate a sarcastic joke and be able to fire one right back.
Enemies
Barbara can go at it with just about anyone, but rarely does she hate anyone enough to actually consider them enemies; the way she sees it, she has enough problems as it is. But anyone quick to offend would certainly consider her a foe.
Romance
Hahahahahahahaha.
Employees
Barbara needs a few helping hands around Shake, but because of her budget can't really afford to put anyone on full-time, much less provide them with substantial benefits. A few students who want to work there part-time would be ideal for her, so long as they're competent and can take a joke.
Roger Vandelay
Roger is Hammel's Sassy Gay Friend in Residence. A shape-shifter, Roger loves nothing more than to assume a new form, try on some new clothes, and take his new creation out on the town. The boy loves to start drama, gossip about anyone not within immediate earshot, and shop for new outfits. Careful boys: this one's not shy by any means!
Friends
Roger needs friends who can take his crude sense of humor, as well as his penchant for assuming various "characters" based on whom he feels like shifting into at that moment. His friends would likely understand that they won't always be talking to Roger, per se. Ideal candidates are fag hags who know how to laugh and don't mind his many eccentricities.
Enemies
Yes, indeed. Roger likely has enemies in the form of folks who think he's catty, gossipy, and rude. He'll be the first to agree with that assessment. Anybody who finds out he's tricking them with one of his fake forms is also likely to dislike him. Ultimately, though, Roger is too lazy to spend time on making real enemies.
Romance
Roger loves to flirt, but that doesn't mean he's interested in hearing wedding bells anytime in the near future. As far as he's concerned, any night that allows him to flirt with a few good men is a successful night. As his friend, Sawyer, says, he's a "sex kitten," and he's always ready to play - but can you handle him?
Melody Rivers
Melody is one of Hammel's two drama and dance instructors. In her spare time, she also choreographs shows at La Maison Magnifique, Pilot Ridge's local house of burlesque. Melody is extremely interested in fashion and can frequently be found browsing at Pilot Ridge's high-end clothing and jewelry stores.
Friends
Melody is generally a kind individual who loves to laugh and enjoy herself. She is easy company and likes to make friends.
Enemies
Melody does not frequently get into fights with people; however, she does have a very strong belief in respect, and will become argumentative if she believes someone is disrespecting her or one of her friends. That said, she prefers for people to get along.
Romance
Melody is currently single but is interested in finding a partner if the right person comes along. She is mostly heterosexual, albeit with occasional bisexual tendencies. She loves flirting but does not engage in random hookups, believing that to be below a woman. A word to the wise, though: Melody isn't exactly a cheap date!
Colleagues
Working at both the Hammel Institute and the House, Melody has a number of colleagues, including other teachers and faculty members and her co-workers at the House (including Cynthia DeMato, the club's owner, and the dancers). She is generally congenial with her colleagues.
