The easy S T U F F . . .Name: Nikolas Allegro Gallo
Nickname: Niko (do not call him Allgero. He hates it.)
Age: Twenty
Member Group: Local
Power(s): Phasing - Niko has the ability to separate his body into something more ephemeral, allowing him to ghost or phase through solid objects. He usually only does so through walls, as it is the easiest thing to do, but if he focuses he can allow moving objects to pass through him. Once he goes back to normal, however, anything that touched the foreign object will ache something fierce, and he'll often have itchy eyes, a chalky or metallic taste in his mouth, or sneeze frequently - all from remnants of whatever he passed through.
Play By: Dean GeyerLet it F L O W . . .“Niko!” The young man looked up from his work in his grandmother’s extensive herb garden, shielding his eyes from the midday sun. He could see the older woman leaning out of the kitchen window, waving her hat at him.
“What is it, Babba?” he called back, wiping the sweat off his brow. The work had been pretty hard today, and he had attacked the weeds in the garden with vigor, imagining them to be alien plant zombies that took over the world by pretending to be herbs and spices, whose goal was to be consumed and to take over the body of the consumer.
…Well, it was a fun game, anyway.
“Eric and Calliope are calling for you, that’s what you little smart alec!” she called back. “Why else would I call you inside when you have so much work to do!”
Chuckling to himself, Niko stood, brushing his knees off in a vain attempt to dispel at least some of the dirt and fertilizer caked into his jeans. They fit his form well, though he had longer legs than most people his height, and he took the gloves off before wiping his face and bare chest with the towel draped over his shoulder. He was of pretty lean build before he got here, although all this running around and helping his spry grandmother had put the muscle to his body – he could actually flex now! And he was seriously tan, too! Working outdoors definitely had its advantages.
Double checking to make sure the “alien plant zombies” weren’t crawling out of the basket to eat his Babba Rhea’s tomatoes, he picked his way through the garden and looked into the computer screen by the back door. The smirking face of his baby sister stared back at him, as did his older half-brother’s laughing one. “Babba?” Eric laughed. “Jeez Niko, I didn’t know you still called her that!”
“Yeah, well, she likes me more than you two,” he chided back, grinning. “I just call her that for the chance of being in her will when she croaks.” Almost immediately, a wooden spoon came flying out of nowhere, making him lose his siblings for a second as he ducked, laughing. “Oh come on, Babba! I’m just kidding!”
“Sure you are, you snake charmer!” she called back from the kitchen, though from her tone it seemed like she was amused as well. Or at least used to it. Probably both. Turning his attention back to the screen, he grinned his pearly-white cat-ate-the-canary grin at them, dirt smudging his face. “So, how’s life back in the states?”
“Did you know Callie dates girls?” Eric piped up, quickly earning a glare and a punch from his sister. “Ack! Seriously, I didn’t know that. Did she tell you?”
“No, she didn't,” Niko said seriously. He couldn’t keep it for long as he added, “Though, I totally saw it coming.” He roared with laughter as she rounded on him next, calling him all sorts of un-ladylike things in Greek as his grandmother stared quizzically at him through the open window. He waved her off, still trying to catch his breath from laughing so hard, and smiled at his sister. “Aw, c’mon Callie; you know we love you. I don’t care who you’re with as long as they treat you right and make you happy.”
As he watched his sibling banter between themselves, he realized just how much he missed them. He'd been living with their grandmother for a while now, and while Rhea was an exciting and wily woman, he felt the urge to get the ground beneath his feet again. She'd already told him that he was free to wander away whenever he wanted, just so long as he didn't leave anything unfinished. Though, with how much work she gives me, that'll be never, he mused, still smiling as he teased his sister from almost five thousand miles away.
He really did miss them.
After about an hour, the youth signed off the chat and went back to working the garden, staying there until he finished this time (which was fairly close to dark). When he went in, he expected his grandmother to be cooking in the kitchen and listening to her old battered radio as she sang along. While there was food on the stove and the radio did have music playing, Rhea was not manning either. Instead, she sat at the small kitchen table, looking over a number of brochures spread haphazardly over the worn wood.
"Thinking of going somewhere, Babba?" he asked, washing his hands at the sink before sitting down across from her. "A vacation would be good for you, you know. You spend too much time cooped up here in this little town."
"Well maybe I like this little town, you brat," she fired back, though her smile gave her gruffness more context. "Besides, it's not for me, pipsqueak; it's for you."
He stared at her, not comprehending. She eventually sighed and pushed a small packet towards him. "I see the artist in you, Nikolas. You need to wander and see the world. So, this is for you, as a thank you for helping out your dear old Babba for so long."
Mutely, he took the package and opened it, seeing a train pass, his passport (newly renewed), and a hefty amount of euro bills. He stared at this for a moment before looking back at her, dumbfounded. "But Babba..."
"Do you think I'm blind, boy?" she chastised. "I know what this is like. You need to be moving again." She stood from the table and began stirring her pots once more. "I expect you to be packed and ready to go by the end of the week." While this sounded like a hefty ultimatum, the old woman smiled at him fondly, her eyes twinkling. "Trust me Niko - you will love Europa."
...
Two months of touring Europe had made him long to see his siblings in person again, so here he was. Pilot Ridge; it'd been a long time (not really, but it felt like it). He wondered exactly how surprised everyone would be to see him.
Shrugging the duffel bag further up his shoulder, he paid the taxi driver and walked towards the building that used to be his school. It was time to get reacquainted.Behind the M A S K . . .Name: Kalli~

As he sat on the train, he watched her, his heart breaking and soaring at the same time. She was right; he needed this. But that didn't mean he hated to leave her behind.
Maybe after Europe, I'll go back to Vermont for a while, he thought absently. Steal Callie and Eric for a cross-country roadtrip, waste a little more time, work on those sketches... He glanced down at the pack at his feet for a second, wondering if he should pull the notepad inside of it out. He shook his head and looked back out the window, catching sight of his grandmother again as the train started moving. She waved, he waved back, and in less than a minute he lost sight of her in the milling crowds.
With a sigh, he leaned back in the seat, wondering where he would go from here. The pass he was given would let him off at any stop he wanted from here to Bucharest, and from there anywhere else.
Maybe he'd go see Istanbul - he'd always wanted to see their massive city and get lost in the crowds.
